One of the things we realized as a business is that it was no longer acceptable to sit back.
After last year, a lot of us at Tricom B2B were looking for a way that we could affect change.
One of the things that we wanted to do as a business was to make ourselves better, right? To make ourselves more inclusive and make our team more educated and more active in the fight against racism. And bias. So when we were looking for ways to do that, we were looking for somebody to come in and really energize that conversation, and we found Kenston. And Kenston came into our business and really made us uncomfortable, made us have difficult conversations as a team about racism, about different types of bias, how to have winning conversations. But he did it in a way where everybody got involved, where we all felt comfortable expressing an opinion or asking a tough question.
I think what he did really well was he made us do a self-examination on biases that we may have had and never really acknowledged or even realized was a biases.
From the videos he showed, from some of the interactive things he did, I think one of the best parts about working with Kenston Henderson CSP EPIC Experiences was this isn't your run-of-the-mill, sterile corporate inclusion and diversity training, right? This gets to the heart of the matter.
But I also think it was very fun and got people to interact in ways that they hadn't thought about before.
Kenston Henderson CSP EPIC Experiences has a way of bringing that positive energy into the conversation.
I think the tools that he gave me to help with was respect, empathy, and maturity. When it comes to things that we all may feel really passionately about, whether it's our favorite ice cream or how we feel about a certain race class, the way we approach someone who disagrees with us matters.
I think some of the things that really stuck out to me the most in these sessions was him kind of explaining to us not just about implicit biases and how that's really important for people people like myself in the workplace, but hearing from some of my other coworkers who got a chance to kind of speak about their experiences.
Kenston helps you think deeply, and as a team, he gets everyone involved. And I think that kind of authentic, real approach that Kenston brings to this type of training and discussion is just so much deeper and so much more actionable compared to what you might get just in kind of that out-of-the-box training.
What I really liked about the training from Kenston Henderson CSP EPIC Experiences was that he taught us strategies for affecting change in our lives and with other people that we could put to use.
It caused us to be able to talk about things that were really uncomfortable but were beneficial if change was going to be made moving forward.
I can't recommend enough having Kenston Henderson CSP EPIC Experiences come in and having a great conversation with your team members and really helping you define how you want to be as a business and as an individual going forward.
So Kenston was an excellent choice in helping us have a safe conversation about uncomfortable things.
I would recommend Kenston Henderson CSP EPIC Experiences for workplace training where you want to engage people and not just talk at them, but really get them involved and inspired to change their behavior.
I will give him 5 stars. He did an excellent job, held our attention in everything.
He did Excellent job.
You just wanted to say thank you for the great sessions you did for our team. We walked away with a ton of new thinking and some great actions as to how we can combat racism and also how we can be more inclusive as a workplace. Really appreciate the work you do.
