In this solo episode of the "Get Your Life Sundays" series, Dr. Tera Henderson expands on her weekly theme of preparing for the week by focusing on three inter‑related resources: time, energy, and attention. She shares a personal experiment in which she handed her phone to her husband each morning to eliminate distractions, emphasizing the need to protect non‑negotiable time blocks. Dr. Henderson explains her "biological prime time" (approximately 10 am–2 pm) when she feels most productive, and she describes how she curtails attention‑draining habits such as scrolling home‑improvement Instagram pages during that window. She invites viewers to reflect on how they schedule their own weeks around energy, time, and attention. The video concludes with calls to follow her on social media, a reminder to purchase her book (livewithlife.com/thecouch), and announcements for two upcoming live events—a face‑to‑face workshop and a joint webinar with Kenston Henderson—aimed at helping audiences navigate holiday stress.

Hey everyone, welcome to Get Your Life Sundays. Last week we talked about preparing for the week, but this week we're going to talk about how to manage your time, your energy, and your attention. So this week I realized that my energy was pretty good, but when it came to time and attention, I needed a little bit of work there. For time, I realized that I had to limit my distractions. So this is what I did, y'all. On Tuesday, I gave my husband my cell phone, yes I did, at 8:00 AM in the morning because what I realized, I just was totally distracted, you know, and I needed to stay focused. I needed to stay focused because again, time affects attention as well. Desperate measure, maybe, but I had to reestablish my non-negotiables and time was one of them. As far as attention goes, I don't know about y'all, but I get easily distracted by those home improvement IG pages. I don't know why. Well, yeah, I do know why, but I get distracted by those. So remember last week I talked about my biological prime time. That's roughly between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM. That's where I thrive. Like I do the most work during those hours. That's just what works for me, you know? But I realized it's not necessarily a bad thing to want to, you know, surf those home improvement pages, but I just couldn't do it in that time space. I had to have a little bit more self-discipline as it relates to those, so that I can focus more on my productive items for the day and not feel all drained, you know, by midday. So, tell me, this is my question to you. Tell me, how do you normally schedule your week as it relates to your energy, your time, and your attention? I'd like to know. Okay, well, that's all the tips that I have for today. Follow me on IG @Dr. Dr. Tera, T-E-R-A-H, Henderson. That's IG. Follow me here on Facebook as well, that's Tera L.
