Let me tell you a story about my voice. So you know how there are 2 types of babies? One that is super cheery and happy, and the other that's kind of upset all the time and crying? I was that child. I was the dreadful baby, and my sister was the happy baby. Growing up, my nanny would take care of me, and she would always complain about how I was a crybaby, and I was like the baby that was getting passed around from aunt to aunt. It was kind of hilarious. I don't blame them. But my voice eventually just, because of all the crying, it became more raspy. And during one time when my nanny was babysitting me, she came up to me and she said, wow, you sound like a man. Why isn't your voice as delicate as your sister's? And because of that experience at a young age, I always kept that in my head. I was like, wow, I sound like a man. Why— how can I make my voice higher? And so at school, I would always like lighten my voice, like more feminine, and kind of fake it so other girls would think I'm more feminine and more guys would think I'm more feminine. Fast forward to today when I'm making YouTube videos and I'm using my real voice to speak, I get all of these messages saying how I have such a beautiful voice, and I'm shocked at how positive the messages are because people are complimenting my voice so much and It doesn't really matter what others think of me, but it truly shows that I could be the most beautiful sounding person to some people and the most annoying and dreadful sounding person to another. I guess what I'm trying to say is don't change yourself for anybody else because the right people will see your beauty for what it is. And now I can confidently say I love my voice. And to make this clear, this isn't just about the voice. It's about many other aspects in your life. You don't have to change yourself for anybody. Just be yourself.
