Love isn't measured by how much you give or how often, but by how much of yourself you sacrifice. A single meal or one gathering can be as profound as grand gestures, depending on what it costs the person giving it.

Hello. I've learned that love doesn't look the same for everyone. Sometimes I feel like I'm giving people my all, pouring out so much of myself, hoping that they will meet me there. And a lot of times, what comes back doesn't look equal. It's smaller, quieter, and maybe even less consistent. Hello. But here's what I've realized. For them, that might be their everything. Just because it doesn't match the way I give love doesn't mean it's less real. Some people love in cups instead of oceans. And some people love in quiet gestures instead of big ones. And that cup, that gesture, it's their whole heart in that moment. And I've had to realize— I've had to Remind myself not to measure love by how often it appears. The friend who only makes it to one gathering might already be giving more than I know. The person who brings a meal when I am overwhelmed, even if they are not present every day, may have poured in all the energy that they had. So love is not always constant or loud. Sometimes it shows itself in a single effort, a quiet gesture, or the way someone offers what they can. Love isn't always equal in size, but it can still be equal in weight. What matters is how much of themselves someone is giving, not how much it looks like from the outside.
