A short solo podcast episode in which Kwame Christian expresses his love for podcasting but emphasizes that he prefers live presenting (keynotes, workshops, trainings) because it builds deeper relationships. He outlines two categories of trainings offered—transactional negotiation-focused sessions for roles like lawyers, procurement, sales, and real estate, and leadership-focused sessions on difficult conversations, feedback, and persuasion—and announces upcoming in-person workshops in New York (August) and Los Angeles (October). He invites listeners to use the link in the episode description to book trainings.
Hello, my friends, and welcome to this very, very quick episode. And I just wanted to tell you a little bit about what we've been working on here. So of course you can hear the joy in my voice when I do this podcast. I really love podcasting, and some may even say, kwame, podcasting must be your favorite part of the business. And you'd be close. You would be close because this does bring me a lot of joy. But actually, the thing that I like more than podcasting is presenting, doing keynotes, doing workshops, doing training. I love that because I get to go out and have a real relationship with people. And what's really fun is when podcast listeners like you either bring me in to do a training or show up at some of my events, because it's almost like we're starting off the friendship at a different level because you've listened to a lot of my voice already and I don't know, it's just a completely different vibe. So I've been all over the country already this year and we're only six months in and the calendar is getting booked up very quickly. And I want to make sure that my podcast listeners, like you, are the people who are filling up the calendar. So again, I just want to remind you about these trainings that we do. So if your organization does professional development training and you are a human who happens to talk to other humans as part of your work, then we can do a training for you. So we have the transactional trainings for people who are lawyers, people in procurement, people who are salespeople, those type of things, real estate, a lot of real estate as well. So we can have those transactional type of negotiation trainings, but also we have those more leadership focused trainings for people who have to have difficult conversations at work, giving feedback, persuading colleagues, dealing with difficult people, those type of things. And also I'd like to announce that coming up soon, we're going to have some in person workshops. So keep an eye out for a workshop coming up in New York in August and LA in probably October, so keep an eye out for that. But long story short, I just want to remind you that I love getting out there and meeting all of you in person. The podcast is great, but it's only a one dimensional relationship. You're just hearing my voice. I want to hear from you too. So check out the link in the description if you're interested in working with us and we can book a training and see if we can make something happen. So I hope you have a great weekend and we'll be in touch soon.
