Laurence Edwards caught an unusually warm December day at 16°C, with his bees unexpectedly active. He uses the warmth to perform "vaping," a routine that helps bees expel excess honey and clear their stomachs before winter sets in.

It's the 12th of December. The bees are very, very active. We're always happy when we see this in December. Get a day or two like this, gives us the opportunity to do the vaping, but also gives the bees the opportunity to get out, clear their stomachs, get back in ready for the winter.
