Laurence Edwards left a crack in a box while handling a drone-laying colony, and his bees robbed every frame clean. He was furious, but admits the bees were just doing what bees do: never missing a chance.

Do not let your bees rob out your frames. This is an error. This is a mistake. I did not mean to do it, and this is what robbing looks like. One drone laying colony, shaken off all the bees, put it into what I believed was a sealed box. Been in here for a few weeks actually. It must have happened when I moved the boxes the other day. I've let a small crack open and appear, and the bees have taken advantage, and now they are clearing out every single Incredibly annoying, really, really frustrating. But you know what? The bees are doing what they do naturally.
