Laurence Edwards shows pollen frames from his Heather Apiary bees, which are collecting from bramble, rosebay willowherb, and other plants beyond heather. The wide spectrum of pollen colors and densely packed brood frames indicate strong nutrition and a healthy colony heading into summer.
The bees have been incredibly busy going out and collecting all different colours of pollen. Really nice variety of flowers up here in the Heather Apiary. Shows that it's not just heather that's up in the Heather Apiary. They're out on the bramble, out on the rosebay willowherb, lots of different flowers coming in, which means that the spring and early summer crop at the Heather Apiary is really nice. Look at all those different colours. Jam-packed brood frame full of pollen shows the bees are getting everything that they need up here.
