Laurence Edwards grew monster-sized blackcurrants this year, grape-sized thanks to good bee pollination and perfect weather. An early warm spell followed by plenty of rain made all the difference.

The bees have done such a good job of pollinating these blackcurrants. The weather's definitely helped as well. Really nice spell of weather early in the season, and then plenty of rain for them to get the nutrients to turn them into absolute monster-sized blackcurrants. They're pretty much verging on grapes. So well done, bees, you've done a great job.
