Laurence Edwards shows how to directly introduce a laying queen into a queenless hive. The method only works if the colony has no queen and the donor queen is actively laying. He demonstrates the introduction and confirms she settles in.

This queen has been in this colony for a matter of hours. I picked her up from another colony next door, laying queen, and introduced her into a hopelessly queenless hive using the direct introduction method. Do not do this unless you're 100% sure the colony you're introducing it to is hopelessly queenless. Also make sure that the mated queen is in the process of laying. She has to be laying or it doesn't work. But check that out, she is well and truly introduced. And if we give her a little bit longer, I reckon she'll go and lay us an egg right about now. Oh no, that's just teasing. That was going to be the most perfect timing in YouTube history.
