In this short video, beekeeping expert Laurence Edwards examines a brood frame from his hive. He notes the frame’s excellent condition, with only about 20 missed cells across the whole frame, and a distinct ring of nectar stores around the edge. Edwards highlights the queen’s vigorous egg‑laying activity, the presence of many supers on the colony, and the current forage landscape—Himalayan balsam has finished blooming, bramble is now in flower, and lime is about to flower. He concludes by expressing hope that favorable weather will sustain the colony’s strong spring production.
