Honey Extraction Room Being ROBBED by BEES - It Doesn't Get Much Worse Than THIS!

Beekeeper Laurence Edwards' nephew left the honey extraction room door open, and tens of thousands of bees swarmed in and robbed about 90% of the honey. He chose to let them finish rather than trap and kill them, then planned a thorough cleanup for that night.

So I said to my nephew, have you left the door of the honey extraction room open? And he said, I might have left it open a little bit. Take a look at this. I, I actually can't believe he's done this. I cannot believe He's done this. A little bit. It is fully open, and the entire honey extraction room that is due to be cleaned tonight is now under attack by robbing bees, and there is no way that we can stop this. I genuinely can't quite get over this one. I said to him once, make sure you close the door. I said it twice, make sure you close the door, and he repeated it back and said, I would definitely close the door. But you know what, this is probably good for people to see. If you're doing honey extraction Anywhere, make sure you always close the door because within seconds this is what's going to happen. So I'm not sure if the mic is picking this up, but there is the biggest thunderous roar in here at the moment because there is tens of thousands of bees just working their way through my cappings. This was the reason that I said to him to make sure that the door is closed. What am I gonna do now? I genuinely don't know what to do at this point because I've had it where I've been robbed out before and you try and like close the door to limit the risk, but really like the damage is done in this instance here. They've probably taken 90% of it already and they are not very happy with me kind of going through it all. But all of the machinery is like this, it's covered in honey, it's covered in wax. It was due to be cleaned tonight. I thought I'd protected the room well enough with the door that was closed, but no. Someone has come in and opened it, and now I have a real big problem. So I can see huge flows coming in, lots of bees coming in, lots of bees going out, tens of thousands of bees over there. What are my options I've got at the moment? Well, one option is to close the door. Would have been good at the beginning and probably good when there's a few bees coming in and coming out. It's really not going to make any difference at the moment because the bees have done the damage, the mess has already been made, and by closing the door All of these bees here are going to die. And I don't want to be responsible for all of the bees dying. And the fact that if there is going to be any disease spread, it's already happened. I'm just going to have to let this one run its course and let all of the bees come in here and clean everything up, come back in when it's dark, give it a really, really good clean down. And then the final thing I'm going to do to prevent this happening again, I'm going to close the door.
