I Am FINISHED - Again!

Laurence Edwards shows how he packages honey in wooden section racks, a method that outsells his other products. He buys extra racks to prevent gaps when bees fill them, uses fold-together boxes with a small plastic window, and labels the minimum weight. He packages each section in 30 seconds.

Right, we're back with our wooden sections, and I have to say I'm so, so happy with how these 2 have turned out. They definitely didn't all turn out like this. And as I said in the previous video, don't wait until every single one of the wooden section racks is complete because the bees can fill them, then go backwards and refill them again. My advice to you is buy a few extras or even buy an additional pack extra, and as you get to the point where your section racks are full like this Take them out individually, pop a new one in, and then just iteratively do that all the way throughout the season. These are by far and away though my favourite section racks and probably my favourite honey product across all of our range. The reason being is that it doesn't come much purer than this, but also it's wooden. Really do like the fact that there's kind of no plastics involved. Doing the Ross Round section video today as well, and there's quite a lot of plastics involved in the Ross Round sections. These are very popular and I can see why they're very popular. Also, what I absolutely love about these is that once you get them out of the hive, all you do, shake them off, bees come off, and then you've got the easiest way of packaging these up. That's what I'm gonna show you today and it's gonna take me literally 30 seconds. So when you buy your wooden section racks, I think you can buy this as part of the kit, but if you can't, I would recommend just buying a good batch of these to keep them in stock as and when the wooden section racks are ready. So simple though, you can just fold them together and there you go, simple as that. So they fold together really, really nicely and then all you get at the front there is a little plastic window which is very nicely designed in that it reduces the amount of plastic but also it's in the center so it gives that finished product a really nice look. Means that you don't get the edges in view 'cause sometimes it can be difficult with those edges to get them in. So then it couldn't be much simpler. You just take your folded up wooden section rack, take your wooden section, Pop it in, close everything round, and that is it. They're ready to sell. On the back of it, you've got minimum weight section. Really easy just to weigh these, get the minimum weights on. But trust me, these will not hang around long. These are by far and away the best sellers that I've ever had, but they are difficult to produce en masse. Final thank you to Thorn Beekeeping for providing both the packaging, the wooden section racks, and all the ancillary products that go inside it. I'm gonna go and slice these up now. I'm gonna have it with a cheeseboard today. I'm so excited.
