Laurence Edwards of Black Mountain Honey tries to beat Chris Manton's 30-second record for assembling a DN4 brood frame. He finishes in about 46 seconds and nearly hammers his finger in the process. It's a casual, funny attempt at a beekeeping speed challenge.

Hi, I'm Laurence Edwards from Black Mountain Honey. Today we're going to have a go at putting together a single frame to see if we can beat Chris Manton's record of 30 seconds. Now I'll start off by saying there is absolutely no way in hell that I'm going to beat this record. I'm really bad at putting frames together, but I thought it would be quite a lot of fun to see me fail, so I might even put together some of the outtakes of me shooting the nail going into my finger or Messing it up in any which way I can, but we'll give it a go. So we're putting together a DN4 brood frame. I know when Chris did it, he did it with a super, so that probably gives him an extra 15 seconds head start on it. So anyway, here we go. I'm not gonna try and start a timer or anything, so keep an eye on the, uh, the timing of the video at the bottom, and we'll maybe put a little sign to say how quickly I did it. Done! No idea how long that was, but I'll put a little timer up to see. I'm gonna guess 46 seconds, which I'm pretty happy with. All right, thanks for watching. See you again next time.
