Beekeeper Laurence Edwards found a winter colony packed so full it was "full to the brim" with bees in early January. The cluster was unusually large, a sign the colony was healthy and thriving through the cold months.

Just checking my winter clusters, and take a look at the size of this colony here. First week of January, they are full to the brim with bees.
