In this brief segment from his YouTube video, Laurence Edwards observes a troubling situation in his bee colony: all the drones have been expelled and the worker (lady) bees refuse to let them back in. This marks the end of queen rearing for the season, leaving the colony to face an upcoming cold, wet night without new queens. Edwards conveys a tone of disappointment and mild sarcasm toward the bees' behavior.
