"Letting Go" Paraliminal with Dr. Paul Scheele and Hale Dwoskin

A YouTube audio/video session where Dr. Paul Scheele introduces the "Letting Go" paraliminal co-created with Hale Dwoskin. The talk explains the Sedona Method's "triple welcoming" release process—welcoming (1) "I don't want this," (2) "I have to deal with this," and (3) "This is about me"—and guides listeners to let emotions pass so they regain mental clarity, equanimity, and creative focus.

You.
It's time.
And the session that we're going to be looking at today is called Letting Go. It's a paralliminal that I created with Hale Dwoskin. If you don't know Hale's work of the Sedona method, really encourage you to look into its powerful work. And as you may know, with all the other authors that I've done paraliminals with, I'm always looking to use the very best of the work that they have. And when I looked at everything that Hale Dwaskin had at the time, for me, the one that moved me the most, that got me the best results, the quickest was a process called triple welcoming. And that's what's embedded into the program of the Letting Go Paralympical.
You may know that there are a lot of powerful waves of change that keep coming through our human family, keep hitting the planet. And one of the things that we know is we can't control the wave. It's just going to be what it is. If you're a sailor and you're in a sailboat, you cannot control the wind. You're at the mercy of the wind, but not just to be blown about. What you do is you set your sail and you use your rudder and you can actually maneuver to where you want to go. You can't control the wind, but you can direct the boat that you're floating. Right? So the Letting Go paralliminal is based on a very important idea. When there is an emotional wave of energy that hits you, you know it, you get it as a feeling response, but it's energy in motion. Emotions are energy in motion. And when they hit you, you might not be particularly aware of what just preceded it. It might have been an event, but you might just be having a normal day. But then all of a sudden there's an angry thought that occurs to you, or there's some sort of memory that shows up in your mind in those moments. What's happening is below the threshold of your conscious awareness. There's some kind of turbulence that's occurred.
What you are experiencing at the moment is a strong feeling, an emotion of some kind. Now, you can't control whatever it is that just showed up. What you have is the opportunity to deal with that. Now that it's there. There's either two ways that we can go. One is that you can love what is there. It is. There's that feeling. Here's that event. This is the situation. It just showed up. It's perfect the way that we know it's perfect is that it's there. So you don't argue with reality. The reality of it is it just showed up.
The other way that you could deal with it is you could resist it. You could be upset by it, you could be shaken by it, you could decide that you don't want it, you're going to make a change in it, and that's all fine and good as long as there's a sense of peace and power that allows you to focus your energies and creating what you want. Most people are buffeted by whatever just showed up and they rage against it. They resist it. And what we know for sure is what you resist persists. So if you're in a sailboat, you have your sail up and a big gust of wind hits you, it's going to throw your boat off. Now what you do when you have the sail up is you're resisting the wind. Now the wind is going to push you. Can you use that? Maybe another way to deal with it is to drop your sails, welcome the wind.
And this is what triple welcoming is about. What Hale Dwoskin identified is that there are three very typical responses to any negative emotion that shows up in people's lives. The first response very typically is, I don't want this. I don't want to have to feel this. This is not what I was expecting today. And so the resisting that and don't want to even have it here.
The second response is, now I got to deal with this. I've got to do something about this. This has got to change. I'm going to have to drop everything today. And now I've got to deal with this thing. It's on me to have to deal with this.
The third thing that people really don't like is to say.
This is about me somehow personally. This is a reflection on my personality and other people recognize and it doesn't look good. And so we try to resist any incoming negative issue, circumstance, feeling, or experience.
One of those three ways. And sometimes in all three. So what we do is we say, could you just welcome it instead of resisting it, could you just welcome it? Because here it is.
Not because you appreciate it, not because you want it, but instead of resisting, could you just say, okay, here it is, welcome it, let it be. In other words, drop the sails and let it blow through because it came to pass, didn't come to stay, it just came to pass. So there it is. Could you welcome it? Secondly, could you welcome the thought or the energy or the feeling that you've got to do something about it. Not that you have to, but could you just welcome that thought or that feeling?
And finally, could you welcome the thought that this is about you personally? Could you welcome that feeling that this is a reflection on you? Could just let it be? Could you just welcome it and then you run the true Sedona method.
Could you let it all go? Would you let it all go when?
Could you? Would you. When? That's the essence of the release method. Could you? Would you, When? Now? These aren't questions that you have to verbally answer. Could you let it all go? Yeah. Would you let it all go.
When? And just feel that sense that I'm ready to let it go now. I don't need to have this circumstance dictate my level of upset. I'm just going to be at peace, love what is, and keep moving in the direction that's important to me. Maybe there's a pause, maybe I have to deal with it, maybe not. But could I just let it be? And this is what the essence of the triple welcoming and the letting go paraliminal is about. As a result of that, you have far more intellectual, mental and emotional bandwidth to deal with whatever's going on because the stress levels diminish to practically nothing. Your sensory systems are more available to you. Your thinking, your decision making, your ability to respond, your memory, it's all far more accessible to you. You have the full range of all of your internal resources available. And so one of the things that we do during the paralimal experience is we go through three iterations around whatever it is that's currently upsetting you. Three iterations. So could you welcome the thought or the feeling? Could you welcome the idea that you have to deal with it? Could you welcome. It's about you personally and could you. Would you. When? Could you let it go? Would you let it go when? We do that three times and as a result, the brain and the body get the pattern and says, okay, I got this. Now I would recommend this paralympical to be listened to just in general, because regardless of the circumstance, even if everything's going wonderfully well, it's useful to do the letting go process.
And this is a very interesting idea behind the Sedona method is if you release on the ideas of negative emotions and if you release on the ideas and the feelings of positive emotions, what do you end up with? You end up with a sense of.
Equanimity, a sense of balance, a sense of spaciousness, expansiveness. It's what some refer to as the quantum field of energy from which your thoughts can bring about the manifestation of the results that you truly desire.
Thoughts turn into energy, light, movement, and physicality as well. So when you use your thought energy, you are far more creative when you're coming from that place of peace and expansiveness. So drop the sales, welcome it, let it pass, then put up the sales and start directing where you want to go. So you navigate to the future that you're choosing to create. So listen to this para liminal Whether things are going fabulous, or especially when things are going really tough, what you're going to experience is that sense of peace that I believe passes all conscious understanding. It's the natural peace and joy that is your birthright. Enjoy it. Have a spectacular day. Thanks for being with me, and we'll see you again in the next session. Bye for now.
