Q&A: Is it your goal or someone else's?

Wendy Greer answers questions about using paraliminals and EFT effectively, including timing between sessions and daily dosage. She shares stories of clients pursuing goals imposed by others, like a pre-med student who actually wanted to be an artist, and explains how to identify and clear blocks that keep you from what you truly want.

Hello and welcome to today's coaching Q and A call. I am Wendy Greer with learning strategies and mind tracks. And today I'm going to share a few more insights on how to get the most out of your fair liminals. I am going to start by going back to a question that came up on the last session. I think I, in retrospect, I wished I had added a bit, even though I was trying to share so much so fast that I would have run over. But we had a question about using EFT in tandem with perilyminals, and I gave a definite assent that I do that and I have had great results. But there's a caveat to that, and I want to bring this up because it comes up so often and it will stymie your experience if you're not aware of this. Generally what you want to do with paraliminals is allow 20 to 30 minutes between either a single paraliminal and another paraliminal, or a single paraliminal and some other modality like EFT or a meditation program or whatever you're doing. There's a very, very good reason for this. When you're doing change work in a para liminal, it's, you're working with energetic frequencies. You're making a major shift in the way you operate. And what you're doing is you're, you're, you're really often, you're changing your paradigm. Some people, I think, are changing genetic history. You know, their, their mom did it, their mom, their grandmother did it, their great grandma did it. So they're doing really, really deep work. And you're shifting what is going on. You're, you're, you're shifting the way you see the world and you want to let that energy settle in. So the reason for the 20, 25 minutes is to sort of give you time to absorb it, to let it start gestating, to let it settle in. So it's, it's becoming integrated into who and what you are, and you're really internalizing it at a very deep level. An analogy I always use with this is, well, not always. I have lots of analogies, but the one I really like is imagine a still pond and you throw a single stone in and you can see the ripples, you can see the ramifications, you can see the effect. You can see if the ripples are hitting the shoreline. So, so that might be, you know, the pond is your goal and you're, and you're putting a new thought in and you're seeing Whether it's enhancing. If you're throwing one stone in and then a second one, the ripples get merged and you can't tell what is doing what. And so. And if you throw a whole handful in and you're, you know, jamming them all up together, then you really got a muddy mess because you can't tell what is doing what. So it's really important that you allow that 20 minutes to a half hour. Now, one caveat to that is the more you use parallel, the more intuitive you'll get. And sometimes one will be in service of the first one you did. So sort of pay attention. Like if you're, say you're trying to clear space for something and you have a belief that you want to shift, but you're using the letting go. If you feel like you processed the letting go and you created space for a new belief to enter, then you might but the belief paralleliminal up to that. But that's sort of an as needed or. Or a. It's how you perceive it and how you're perceiving what's going on. So again, make it yours. If it feels right, then it's probably going to be okay. I'm going to segue from that into another issue that I see. One of the first calls that really took me aback when I worked here was your programs make me angry and I want a refund. And I'm sitting there on the phone going, well, I'm so sorry, what program are you using? And he said, paralympos. I'm thinking, what? So I said, well, tell me what goal you're working on. He goes, oh, I'm not working on one. I'm working on six goals. So we discussed how, you know, it might be good idea to, you know, distill that you can have multiple goals going, but put some on the back burner, bring a couple forward and work on those. And then I said, and tell me what pair of liminals you're using for that. So we. And then he said that he was using. He didn't. Couldn't always count them, but usually about 10 or 12 a day. And my first thought was, do you work? That's three hours listening. My goodness. But what was happening with him was he was using so many paralyminals on so many goals that his unconscious going, give me a bloody break. I need time to process this. Give me a chance. So the reason I bring this up is anytime somebody is getting very anxious when they're doing paraliminals, when they're resenting spending the time. I can't believe I'm doing another paralyminal. If they're angry, if they're agitated, you're probably overusing. So that's your tip off, the tip off right there that you want to sort of back it down. And what we did with this gentleman was we distilled to two goals. The other four were on the back burner. And just an FYI, often when you're working on one goal, the other ones come along for the ride. So often people will shift things they aren't even working on with paraliminals. And we distilled his listening. We did one in the morning, one in the evening and then he started using the sleep track and everything settled and he didn't need a refund. Pete will be really glad to hear that. So today's topic is questioning whether what you're working on is what you want. If it's your agenda, your goal, or is it someone else's. When this came up really strongly for me, and this was such a curious circumstance, when we released the self discipline paralimanol, I had three people within probably a four week span that got that self discipline had nothing to do with why they weren't achieving their goal. They really didn't give a hoot about that goal. It was not theirs, it was not something they cared about, it was not something that was aligned with who they were. And I got really curious. And so what I did was I went back when I, when I wanted to know how a paranormal works. I listened to right ear, then I listened to left ear. I listened to them separately to see what Paul's doing because he knows, he knows what he's doing. But sometimes I don't understand why it works so well. So this was really interesting because when I went in there I just pulled a few off. It has constant references to my intentions, my values, my actions, my habits, my goals, my outcomes, my natural intuition, my skills, what I choose to create, my course of action, my natural inclination, my capacity, my competence, my confidence so you can see what was happening there. People were listening to this and there was all these references to empowering yourself and my volition and my choices and, and it wasn't their choice. I had the three that I remember very distinctly was we had a guy who was pre med and he wanted to be an artist and his dad was a medical doctor, his grandfather was a medical doctor and his great grandfather was a medical doctor. He could, he didn't, that was not what he wanted. To do that. And that was not what he loved. So that was a major sticking point. No wonder he didn't have the discipline to crack his textbooks. He wasn't into it. That wasn't his thing. One that sort of worried me a lot was a guy who had a relationship with a lady that his mom liked and he was thinking of proposing to her, but he couldn't get around to it. So he was using self discipline and he realized this was not the woman for him. I mean, can you imagine if he followed through? So it's really, really important that you sort of take a look and make sure that what you're trying to get to is what matters to you. Another funny one. And I pulled in a different exercise here just because I was curious. But we had a gentleman in one of the metropolitan areas, I think he was New York, and he. His lease was up and he was looking for a new apartment, but he just couldn't get into it. And so he used self discipline to give himself some volition to look for an apartment, and it still wasn't working. And so in the abundance for life course, there's something called the miracle question. I don't know why, but I just sort of thought, I'm going to try this with him. So basically I had him. Imagine going to bed tonight and life is as it is. You, you, you don't have a place to live in in a month. You don't know where you're going to go. And you really need somewhere, somewhere that floats your boat. So you wake up tomorrow morning and a miracle has happened. How do you know? So I sat there with him and we talked it through and. Okay, so you're. And something has happened and you just woke up. What. What's going on? I can smell the sea air. I can hear the seagulls. I can hear the. I don't want to live in the city. Well, whoa, there's a reason not to do it. He would have chosen a place that didn't float his boat. So.
Needless to say, I found that it's very important that you figure out what you want and that it's aligned with what you're doing and where you're trying to get to. Another interesting thing, and this was such a profound experience for me. There's a turnaround on this. Sometimes we integrate other people's belief systems and we don't know that we've done that. And when this came up for me was we had a gentleman, I'm going to call him David, who had been Using parallel for quite a while. And he had a interesting habit. He was a lay minister. His connection to source and to his. To God and to his divinity was very, very important to him. But he had a trouble hanging on to money. And he would, he was doing some small business, you know, startup companies, and he would do the weirdest things. He would, he would start, you know, the money would start flowing in. Then he'd miss an important meeting or he'd. He, you know, he just did some crazy things and, and he would go, I just don't understand why I'm doing this. This is just so bizarre. He was so articulate, he was so personable and, but, but, you know, he knew, he knew what his values were, but for some reason, money, he could get money to play into it. Well, we had just released Abundance for Life. And one of the things I have found over my years of coaching and I do some energetic healing work is you may not remember what's operating behind the scenes, but your body does, because if you stuff it, it's in there somewhere. And that's one of the reasons paralyminal has helped so much, I think, and why some people will have. Sometimes I've had weepy customers where something just bubbled up and they just had to process it. Basically, what was stuffed somewhere came to the surface. So I suggested to David, because the Abundance for Life course has a. An accelerator and you work with energy centers and the lower three centers, if you're at all familiar with energetic centers, are to do with security, safety, survival, and the ego. So I suggested he do the first couple of. Of mini meditations in the course. What he realized and this, I mean, oh, his grandfather was a Helen Brimstone type minister and he heard repeatedly, you cannot be godly and have money.
I mean, oh my gosh, what a dichotomy. I mean, what, What a travesty that here is this person whose major focus is his connection to his divine source, and he can't get that to jail with, with, with, with. With having money as well. So. Oh, today my feature parallel is New History Generator. I had it out here, but anyway, I've misplaced it. So once David realized this, we went to New History Generator. New History Generator. The session A is an incredible tool. What the reason a lot of people don't achieve their goals is the present positives are so attractive. They're so comfortable, they're known, they're. They're. The status quo is safe. There may be another future out there, but it's often taking A chance it's doing something different. It's, it's stepping into, beyond your comfort zone. So what the fourth path does the, the new history generator is you have four paths. The past as it was, as it actually occurred. The past with unexpected events, the past with spontaneous things happening, or that, that, that you would choose to put in there. The fourth path you create. So you're taking from those other three paths and you're building the path you are going to walk. What that allows you to do is take the past positives from, from the past, put them onto the path you're walking now along with the resources you're stepping into. Paul, Paul calls that push me pull you oscillation. It's perfect description in, in our natural brilliance course. You know, do I, do I want to stay safe? Do I want to take a chance? Do I want to do. Do I stay where I am and this job that I don't really like, or do I take a chance and do that which I'm really, you know, which, which are you going to do so that, that, that dichotomy is resolved by doing the four paths, you know, the spontaneous events, the past as it was, the past as you would like it to have been, and then creating your own path. Basically it puts you back in the driver's seat. And what, what David was able to do was take his, his love for his grandfather. And oh, one interesting thing about that too. His grandfather had died when he was 5 years old, so he had internalized this at 5 years old, stuffed it, and could not remember why he had an issue with money. So, you know, just goes to show, you just never know what's down there. So New History Generator is great for that kind of thing. In fact, any of the generators are great for stuck states. If you find you're doing something over and over and you feel like the past equals the present is going to equal the future, that will really move you. And any of the generators, that's the new action, the new behavior, the new history, and the new option generator. Any of those are wonderful for stuck state, so I highly recommend them. All right, we only had a couple questions and one of them, I'm glad it came in because there's something else I'd like to mention. We have somebody who wants to know, how do you select a paraliminal? There are so many choices, they overlap. How many listings per day can you do? Well, I sort of addressed the last part with the gentleman who was doing the 12.
It's going to be different for Everybody, but generally one in the morning, one in the evening, maybe one in the middle of the day, you know, you're gonna, you're going to customize your listening based on what you're dealing with. Like say, positive relationship. Say you have a chronic issue with a person that you, you only see on the holidays. They're in the family. So you might do positive relations the week before Thanksgiving, positive relationships the night before, positive relationships the morning of. You're even keel throughout. You deal really well and compassionately with this person and then you're done. If you have worked for a company where there's a lot of negativity and there's a lot of if she stuff coming at you, then maybe you're going to use positive relationships until you really have become, you're letting it slip off your back. You're no longer internalizing, you're no longer integrating. It can't hook you anymore. So it's going to vary a lot. But what I wanted to share is with your mind tracks, you got the Parallel Accelerator and we created a couple of really fun documents in there. The Parallel Accelerator guide is divided into Success, Health, Relationships and growth. Those four topics. And we recommend which paraliminals would support those. So it was really sort of a fun project because there's several of us here that use the paralyminals a lot. And then we, we drew Paul in because of course his, he has such an incredible knowledge of where he was going and where they will take you. And then the other one we created is Recommended listening by topic. Oh, meant to mention, Parallel Accelerator Guide is on page 128 of your manual. So that's Parallel accelerator manual, recommended listing by topic. What we did was we made a list of the things that people seem to present with regularly. And then we, we, we sort of went through the parallel and because I talked to so many customers and Pete talks to so many customers, we sort of put our heads together and then, you know, we have other people here that use the products. And then I would go through my notes and see who called in and what they had success with. So we're constantly customizing that and integrating the new pair of liminals. So I would definitely do that. I mean I mentioned last time, look at the paralyminal name, look at the tagline and see if it pertains, you know, 100 people call it anxiety. There's going to be a hundred different reasons they're anxious. So that's why I love paraliminals so much. They're so adaptable. So, you know, anxiety free would clearly be the first one you would suggest. But it may be that somebody has a problem with talking in front of people, so they might do talking to win or they might do peak performance. So it's going to depend a lot based on what you've got going on. So that was the one question. The other one was somebody who says they have a poverty consciousness and not enoughness. How do I get on the right track? I can't even figure out which goals to pursue or others or how to transpose them. What are my next steps regarding paraliminals? Okay, a couple things on that one.
When people have multiple goals, I tell them to do one of two things. One is look at the goals that are most pressing. If you are going to be evicted because you don't have your rent money, then you're probably going to be focusing on your finance goals. If you.
If that's, if everything's fairly even keel, you just feel like you're not moving the way you'd like to, then pick the goal that's going to have the greatest impact. So, so there'll be almost a domino effect where if you get that, the whole, the whole series of dominoes will go over. And as I said, one of the things that happens if you have more than one or two goals is you get too diversified and you don't do any of it well. So I really encourage people to pick one or two. And as I said, you know, I think it was John Muir that said when you pull on one tendril of the web of life, the, the entire web shifts over and over. I've seen where people are working on their finances and all of a sudden their relationships open up and somebody they hadn't talked to, they've got a good connection with. So I think it's, it's all one tapestry. So if you pull on one thread, it all shifts. So it's, it's a beautiful plan. It really is. It's just glorious. And then as far as what I mean, the, obviously the, the parallel I would probably recommend would be abundant money mindset, the wealth motivator. I really like Soul of Money and the reason I like that one, Lynn. We did that with Lynn Twist and she talks about sufficiency. A lot of people want more, more, more, more, more, but they really have enough and they might be better served spending all that time and energy on their relationships or on, on something, you know, their leisure time, their creative endeavors and the happy money. I haven't Had a lot of feedback on that one yet. But I do know that a lot of people have felt that that puts them. It's almost a, almost a Zen attitude to money and maintaining and cultivating your money and how you're going to do that. So, so those are the ones that I would probably pull now. Another thought, you can use tandem Intentions. So what I would suggest for you might be what I did with David, which is do the paraliminal. So your intent is that you want to understand why you don't have the mindset you would like to have. You know, how you might move that forward. But also stipulate, if there is any stumbling block, any buried belief here, anything that that isn't serving me, please make it evident. Because once you tell your other than conscious what you're looking for, it will comply. But unless you tell it, it doesn't know. So, you know, with, with David, if we had had any thought of that, we could have built that in earlier and he would probably have received an answer. We just happened to choose a different route to that destination. So. So I think that covers what I wanted to say today. And I did it in under 20 minutes. I hope I didn't talk too fast. So, final thought.
Everybody, every single person walking this earth has their own special gifts, their own special qualities, and you will never be replicated. There will never be another you. So if you're not living what you came here to do, if you're not aligned, if your heart and your heart and your head are not coherent, if you aren't standing in your power and expressing what you brought with you, you lose. And we lose. So this is such an important topic. And so I just like to reiterate, you know, you are powerful beyond belief and I don't care what you have done, how stuck you are, what heinous things have been done to you, what heinous things you may have done to other people, none of that makes a difference. You are unique and you have a gift. And that's what that. That's what you're here for. So please step into it. Step into it. Step into it. So I'm going to wind up with one of my favorite thoughts from one of my favorite meditation teachers. We are all.
Light expanding without end. You are that. So please take that sparkle out into the world and express it and emote it and radiate it and help everybody you see, because we're all in this together. So thank you for being here and I leave you to sparkle and shed your light and we'll see you next week.
Omn.
