Hello and welcome to Today, to today's coaching Q and A session. I'm Wendy Greer with learning strategies and mind tracks. And as we have in the past, I was just going to talk briefly about a topic and then we'll go into the questions, which we had quite a few today, which is wonderful. So basically I wanted to talk about stepping into, into your power, into the full potential of what you're here to do and be. And I have a synchronicity, so I'll share the way I wanted to start this. There's a quotation by Anais Nin that I really like that sort of sums up and distills what the topic is today. And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. So it was more painful to live confined and in the bud than it was to blossom and be everything you could be. Well, I'm working on some projects at home and I'm clearing, doing some space clearing. I do that periodically just because I want to allow fresh new energy to come in. And so I was organizing some papers. I have a habit of copying down things that I really enjoy. Quotations or thoughts or poetry, that kind of thing. And came across this one, which I love too. It's. And suddenly, you know, it's time to start something new and trust the magic of beginnings. That is from Meister Eckhart, one of the early Christian mystics. So you got two people contemporary, a mystic from a long time ago in a religious tradition and exactly the same thing. Suddenly you know it's time you got to step into the full potential. You got to allow, allow the flower to bloom. You got to step out of the, the confinement and the, the place you've been stuck. So I just thought that was wonderful. So a lot of what we have talked about so far in the Q and A sessions is really leading to this point. Are you in a place of self acceptance? Are you taking full responsibility and control? Are you being proactive? Have you looked at your self sabotage? Your limiting beliefs? Have you moved through those and beyond those?
Have you made sure your goal setting is aligned with what you value and what you're passionate about? Is it present tense? Is it, is it what you want more of? Is it a power statement? I am. I now. I have. So we've covered a lot of different things, but what I wanted to focus on today was really tuning into what you're passionate about, what fuels you. I've talked earlier about success built to last the Parallel success built to last that we did with Stuart Emery. I like that so much because it really helps you to tune into what you're passionate about, what you do well, who. Which is almost always what you're here to do. And that's what we want to tune into. We want to really fulfill that higher purpose, your. Your unique gifts, the things that you bring to the table that nobody else can in the way that you can do it. And you know, presupposing that you have accepted that you, that you are already wise and creative and resourceful, that you're whole and complete without that life purpose in place. But that brings the circle full, full, full closure. You know, you're going to keep exploring new possibilities, visions and goals and priorities, but you sort of have a handle on what you're here to do, why you're here, you know what, and you're stepping fully into the power to do that. What's really intriguing to me is there's a couple of events that normally precede this or that often precede it. One of them is a traumatic event that really shatters your world. And it causes you to reexamine your whole perception, the way you see the world, what's going on in your world. And it really.
It'S a really tough place to go through. But as a coach, I get really excited when somebody's world is in chaos because it's like you had a jigsaw puzzle that seemed like it was glued down to the table and all of a sudden all the pieces shatter and nothing is where it was. But guess what? You get to decide what the new picture is. And so in that incredible chaos and disorder and discombobulation, this just feeling of just everything being out of order and upside down and topsy turvy, there's the opportunity for a new paradigm. And often that it's just the strangest thing, that out of the greatest challenges come the greatest growth. So. And I see that over and over and over again. So that's one of the things that sometimes precedes this stepping into your full power. Another one that I've seen quite a bit is people that are incredibly curious about the world. And that curiosity gets piqued by different things and they keep, they keep exploring. It's almost an overwhelm situation until they find the peace that is what they're here to do. That curiosity.
I think it weakens old stories. If somebody has been sort of stayed and even keel and all of a sudden they start exploring their world, the parameters they're Operating from ship, the box opens up and the old identity can become a rut. You know, I mean, you need some banks on your river, but you need the river to fl. Flow freely. You don't want to have a block that stops the river from flowing. So that curiosity is really a crucial part of, of seeing what else is available, what, what else might be out there. And, and one of the, you know, one. One of the challenging types of people for me are people that think they know everything. They've already got all the answers, they already know it all, but their life isn't going right. Well, you can see what happens there. They cut off the options. I mean, there's infinite possibilities about what you think you know, is. So, so. And, and when you, when you think you know it all, you tend to close off from that. And sometimes I'll be really didactic and think, you know, well, why. Why are they going that route? You know, but, but, but always there's other possibilities. And so you want to not get stuck in that rut because that will close you down and take you out of power because you're, you're, you're. You've lost the ability to see beyond what's right in front of you. And as human beings, as one of our incredible capacities, that we're so resilient, we're so flexible, we're so. We can flow in so many directions. And I love to see people that do that. One of the components that I'm also very aware of, and I think it's partly because I coach a feng shui course, but any clutter, any clutter, mental, emotional, or even in your physical environment really closes you in because takes up space, it takes up energy, it has to be maintained. And so it tends to keep you spinning in circles, dealing with stuff, dealing with, you know, whatever it is. And so what. What you want to do is, is open up some space around the things you're thinking, the things you're feeling, and your physical space so that you can really see what's happening and embrace the other possibilities that are there. The story that comes to mind with this, and I've always loved this story, apparently the statue of David that Michelangelo did, I think it's pushing 20ft tall. And this humongous block of marble got delivered to the studio. And for some reason, somebody was in the studio who wasn't really familiar with sculpting. And, and he just, he was just so puzzled, like, how in the world are you going, how are you going to turn this into anything? It's just a block of stone. How, how, how are you going to make. You say you're going to make a statue of David? How is that going to happen? And Michelangelo said, I'm simply going to remove everything that isn't David. And that's what we want to do. We want to remove everything that isn't us, everything that doesn't support us, that doesn't confirm what we stand for, everything that isn't having a step in our power and our capacity, everything that's reactive and not proactive, everything, everything that's contracted and not expanded, all of that we're going to remove so that the full glory can be expressed and, and viewed and, and emoted into the world. So, and another, another thought I just sort of like to bring up. It's not really that we're finding ourselves. One of the things that I've come to realize over the almost 20 years I've been coaching here is it's, it's generally I'm holding the space for somebody to remember because they already know.
It's not that you're completely lost or you're not there, or the possibility isn't there. It's that you've forgotten what you've done with it. And so you need to come to center. You need the space. You know, one of the reasons I think paralympos work so well is because they're so enjoyable to start with. So people will do them. But also you come. You come to a place of stillness. You come to a place of quiet. If you have a room where you do your paralyminals, you'll notice the minute you walk in there, you start sort of expanding and sort of anticipating, tuning in, you know, and really seeing beyond your normal visual, you know, the normal. The normal way you see the world. And so. And in that quiet, the other thing that happens is I think people can hear. You know, I often have people where something will keep reoccurring in their life, and it keeps getting more and more and more extreme. And I think what's happening there is the universe has been knocking quietly, and then it's knocking a little more loudly. And then it's whapping on the door. Finally it's charging the door, trying to get you to listen to what's being said. And when you sit to do a parallel, you're opening, you're opening to listening. You're opening to what you know. You're opening to that internal wisdom. And so once you, once you do that, then you're able to take that actively out into the world. And so, you know, it's a. It's a great combination of the quiet time, the commitment, the discipline of doing it, and then the openness to hear. And that is so important. You really need to be able to do that. So that's my thoughts for today around that topic of stepping into your power. New Action Generator would be one of the parallel I would select for this.
There's something about moving into action that really shifts you into.
A more joyful, more expanded state. And so New Action Generator really helps you to see where you might be stymieing yourself and where you might want to be moving, what direction you might want to be moving instead. So I really like New Action Generator for that. Simplicity is good because in the simplicity you'll find the stillness. You'll sort of release the stuff that isn't David. You'll release the stuff that isn't you, and you'll come back to basics and you'll come back to understanding the, the strengths and the power and the, the sheer.
Genius that you bring to the world if you allow it to, to express itself. And the other one, the one of the newer ones I like for this is self actualization because that's about really the. The subtitle Live each day as the best version of yourself. And the best version is going to be what you're here to do. It's going to be what you came here to do and what only you can do. And so those are the three that I would choose to support that topic. And we do have quite a few questions today, which is exciting. So I wanted to move on to those first one we sort of talked about briefly in an earlier Q and A. How many times is advised to listen to the paralyminals? There's no cookie cutter answer to this. There are hardly any cookie cutter answers to paralympical listening. So I'll give you an example. If you have chronic anxiety, then you might do anxiety free in the morning, you might do it in the evening, and you might do it midday. Generally two or three times is probably your max for a single paraliminal. But for some people that might not be the case. So you need to do more of what works for you. But the reason I bring anxiety free up is say anxiety is provoked by a particular person that you have to see at a monthly sales meeting and this person gets your goat and you just haven't been able to stop them from.
Needling you somehow. Then you might do anxiety free the night before in the Morning of. And that might be sufficient for that circumstance. I have mentioned before too that sometimes people do overuse parallel. And what happens is you get in sort of a state of anxiety or frustration or resentment that you're sitting down to do another paralyminal. I think what's happening there is you're just not giving your other than conscious mind time to work through what's going on and sort of noodle the problem or noodle the situation to come up with solutions that are viable. So you probably want to back down your listening a little bit. So it's very personal. So pay attention to what. What seems to work for you and do more of that. Also, there are guidelines in the. The Q and A section that comes with the parallel in the mindtranks app. So that's the answer to that. Okay. Or my. My response to that. Not the answer, my response. My name is Nora Samyla. I am stuck in every aspect of life and I want to move forward. I tried everything to change my current situation, but it doesn't yield results. What can I do to change my current status and move forward?
The question I would ask you is what does forward mean? Because if you aren't making it clear to your other than conscious mind what forward is, then there may be some confusion and that might be where you're getting stuck. A lot of people are very conscious of what they don't want. They are not nearly as clear on what they do want. They just know they don't like what's going on and they would like something different. So I would really take a good look at what that means. And. And I had shared a couple of exercises in a couple of earlier Q&As, but even write down the things that aren't working and then flip them 180 degrees so that you have a second column, do a T chart and have the things that aren't working. And then things that are. Or that would be the reverse of that. And then throw away, destroy, shred, burn the things you don't want because then you want to activate the things that are on the other side of the column. So a couple of parallel I would specifically use would probably be letting go because you want to let go of what's going on that isn't serving you. You might use gratitude to tune into what those events have given you, what the learning has been so you can release them. That would be another possibility. New action generator. Again, because you're wanting a different action. You want to take it out into the world, whatever the new behaviors, the new actions, the new way of perceiving things is. So those would be probably where I would start. But I would start by taking a really good look at your goal setting. Make sure it's very powerful that it's present tense. I am now I have. I am grateful for put a feeling word in because the feeling gives you a personal attachment to it. You don't want an academic goal that could be anybody's. You want it to be personal because then you're invested in it and. And then it's more aligned with who and what you are and where you're trying to get to. So that's a few thoughts on that. Which parallels would be best to attract people to join my direct sales team. Abundant money mindset did wonders for my sales. Great. Good to hear. Positive relationships is a real workhorse. And it doesn't have to be just romance or, you know, personal relationships. It can be used for business relationships as well. What I would really tune into is the kind of.
The kind of people that you want on your sales team. What's the most important? Integrity, compassion, academically sound skill sets. You know, sort of tune into what you want, build that into what you're looking for, and then move forward that way. You might also consider instantaneous personal magnetism. That one is really good for. It's good for salespeople anyway because it sort of puts you in a very charismatic place where you're really emoting honestly and with integrity, but in a very affable.
And approachable way. So you might use that and even use that and build into that that not only are you going to do that, but you are choosing people that. That can generate that magnetism because that will be the kind of person you probably want on your sales team. So that's a few thoughts about that.
Next question. When making a decision regarding the timing to leave my marriage, should I use mainly logic or faith? Oh my goodness. Wish I could give you a hug. That's got to be so tough. I can't answer that. Only you can answer it. But I do have a few thoughts of parallel that might help you to do that. You know, I don't know the history, I don't know the water under the bridge. I don't know where you're at. But what I would probably think through would be.
Gratitude for the relationship. Even as it is, as it was. Most people get married because there's something there. There's some spark, there's something that was positive and meaningful. It may have. You may have received from that relationship, what you were looking for. I don't know, you know where you stand on that. But gratitude would be probably a good start to whatever extent you, you can gratitude for, for the circumstances, for what's transpiring, for the growth you experienced, for even the challenges, because that's where you grow. I would probably use letting go because letting go will clear the space for you to see more clearly. You'll, you'll have the, the.
You'Ll release assumptions and history and whatever has made this relationship a sticking point or, or a non, a non progressing possibility for you. So letting go will let you remove that and then maybe intuition amplifier because that would help you to tune into. You know, I would think the answer to your question would be there's going to be some logic, but there's also going to be some, some intuitive trust, some faith that, that you, you are being given information that is meaningful to you and that you need to.
Do something about or act on somehow in the world. So that's just a few thoughts. I, as I said that that is such a personal thing and I don't know and, and I don't really need to know. You need, you need to understand that you know what the best way to move forward. And so trust, trust yourself. Open, open, open the doors. You know, explore and then, and then trust and act on what comes to you intuitively and mentally. You know, the two, you know, the two go hand in hand is just when you're so close to something like a marriage, it's hard to see the pragmatic part and you tend to get very emotionally embroiled. So I think the three I'm suggesting will probably help to give you a little distance, a little space and a little cl so that you can see clearly which way is most positive and most.
Compassionate for everybody involved. So that would be a few thoughts on that. What is the impact of using parallel as background music on a speaker instead of a focus session with headphones? Is there any benefit to the suggestions to the non conscious mind? I'm sure there are.
There's a couple of things I would say about that. One is make sure it's a road activity that you can do without having to be conscious of what you're doing. You know, clearly anything involving heavy machinery, things you wouldn't do that. I've tried using paralyminals as ambient sound and I don't think I get nearly the depth. I don't get the.
I don't get the clarity, I don't get the insights. You know, and maybe that's my presupposition that I take it in with me, try it and see. You know, I would assume that even, even though you aren't totally tuned in, the change work is, is having some impact. But it wouldn't be my cup of tea, but try it. No, it may work for you. I mean, you know, I, I have a lady who does her house cleaning with, with Paul's Paralympicals going, and she, you know, things like vacuuming and dusting and things where she's just, she's doing a repetitive action. So it may very well be that the two are so, so you sort of aligned, you know, the, the, the repetition and the rhythm that somehow she's almost gets into a trance state automatically by doing.
See, see where it goes for you and let us know so we can pass it on. I am in the worst financial situation I've ever been in and find myself paralyzed with fear. I have periods of feeling optimistic, guided and positive. But I am on a constant roller coaster of emotion. Any suggestions about paralimal or other ideas for me to reign in my erratic emotions?
I'd like to remind you of Jack Canfield's acronym for fear, which is false evidence appearing real. You've got a real financial situation, you're under duress. You know, there's a lot of things going on. Apparently you have a computer that you can write to us on, so, you know, you could be out on the street with nothing. I think I shared the story of Joe Vitale. He was living out of his car and he picked up a pencil and started thinking about the potential of a pencil and what he could use it for and recognized that in his hand he had this incredible, incredible tool. So even though he was on the street and living in his car, he sort of tuned into the fact that there were, there was potential all around him. I don't mean to negate the situation you're in, but, but despite outward appearances, you had the potential to do something about it. And so I would encourage you to, to remember that, that you know, you are powerful beyond belief. There is no doubt in my mind. But from a Paralympical perspective.
One other thing too. Remember that I just mentioned the chaos. The chaos that precedes a new order. This may be an opportunity for you to shift gears and change directions. I don't know, I don't know why this is happening or what, what has precipitated this. But sometimes when something happens that's pretty dire, it's the wake up call where you do actually shift gears and you, you, you, you take a totally different direction, a totally different perspective and the road opens up in front of you. So just please try and stay as open as you can.
Obviously the first one I would think of would be fearlessness because that's tuning into the courage to be proactive. To look at the situation as it is sounds like you're accepting it as it is. However, there's always around every situation, no matter how dire, there are an infinite number of other possibilities and you're probably looking down a few degrees. There's 360 degrees in that circle. So the fearlessness would be good, anxiety free. You might think about new option generator. You might think the generators are really good for stuck states. And so the new option generator, you know, again, gratitude that whatever the financial situation is, you got there through a series of events that somehow have helped you to grow. Because life does not happen to us, it happens for us. And so you know, what, what is the opportunity there? You know, I wish.
I wish I could be more help. I wish I could somehow give you some really pragmatic advice. But this is pragmatic in the sense that it helps you to help yourself. So, but trust, trust that, that you have the capacity, you know. Another quotation I love is Mother Teresa about she, she, I know God won't give me more than I can handle. I just wish he didn't trust me so much. So you know, we, we are not given more than we can handle. So you know, trust, trust, trust the process. Use as I said, the fearlessness, the letting go might be good. The anxiety free. If anxiety is popping up and the generators for reinforcing your own, your own faith in yourself and, and your capacities because it is there, it is there. And that false evidence appearing real despite outward appearances. You are capable. You are, you are, you are, you're you, you're seeking help, you're, you're using some awesome tools that will help you shift your whole perspective in your paradigm and ask what the opportunity is here. In every challenge there's an opportunity. What is the opportunity? And I, I trust and I hold the space for you to remember that you are capable, that you can, you can do something about it. And as I said, this may be a life shifter, it may be a new paradigm is, is right around the corner. So wish I give you a big hug. I'm sending you a virtual one and I am sending lots of love to all of you because that's all the questions for today. So lots of love to you from all of us here at Learning Strategies and Mind Tracks. And we will see you next week. You take care. Bye. Bye.
