Q&A with Pete Bissonette

Transcript of a Mindtracks Q&A session (Dec 14, 2023) where Pete Bissonette answers listener questions about using Paraliminals—audio programs for personal change. Topics covered include mastermind/accountability groups, whether paraliminals work without explicit goals, journaling dreams/insights, advice for starting a hypnosis/NLP business while working a day job (use prosperity, get-around-to-it, automatic pilot, new behavior generator, personal genius, etc.), techniques to build focus (breath awareness during paraliminals), recommended listening frequency (one/day or up to three), and the annual "Clear Mind, Bright Future" live program with Paul Scheele.

You.
Hello and welcome. I am Pete from Mindtracks and I'm filling in today for Wendy and she was planning to talk to you about motivation today, but that's something we'll save that topic for when she is on one of the future ones. Today I'm just going to address some of the issues that we've been receiving or some of the questions so that it's a little easier for you to use your paralyminals. So one of the first questions, please offer a mastermind group that meets online either once a week or once a month based on accounting for our increased progress and improvements and goal for a goal achievement because of our daily listening to Paralympicals. So in other words, an accountability partner of some sort or a mastermind of some sort. If this is something that you're interested in, drop us an email to customerserviceindtracks.com and be really specific of what your ideal support would be and we'll see if we can put something together. So for example, if you've been participating in another mastermind and you like that, the way that that is handled, share with us how they do that. And if you know what online platform they might be using to help coordinate everything, we'd love to know about it too. We haven't done mastermind programs like this, but it's something that we've chatted about and this might be the time to do it. So if you're interested and if you know something, please send us an email to customerserviceindtracks.com and address it to Pete and Customer Service to make sure that I get that. Okay, so here's another question. Are paraliminals still effective even if you don't have a goal or intention for listening? Yes. But what you really want to do is at the beginning of the paralympidol is to answer the questions that Paul asks you. So if there aren't any questions, no problem. Just listen to it and just let your mind just float with it and everything's going to be cool. But for the ones that you have to answer the questions, like the new behavior generator, you need to know what your goal is and where you're headed and what behavior you want to acquire. So in that case, yes, you want to be able to know what your goal or intention is. But some of the other ones, like the Self Esteem, Supercharger, Deep Relaxation, Gratitude, let's see, joy memory, supercharger, 10 minute supercharger, fresh start, Simplicity, those Euphoria, those are all really, really Good for just kind of listening to the paralliminal and not really having to tie it into a big goal or to an intention. But the more you tie something into an intention or to a big goal, the more benefit you're going to get from it. Got a lot of flexibility though. Okay, next question. I've been persistent with paralympinals for over 30 days now. I brief to come into consciousness with certain messages and I experience short term dreams. Just curious. Well, when you have those experiences, whether they're during the pair of liminals or during your sleep at night or any other time, what you want to do is be aware of them. And if you can write them down, if you can even write it in a journal, that would even be better. Because what will happen is when you're writing in a journal, you start to see patterns and it'll help you make sense out of what you've been experiencing. And maybe you'll find out that what you are experiencing are messages for you to pay attention to this or to pay attention to that or to do something differently. See, when we talk about people who are using the journals, the clients who use the journals, we hear some of the coolest experiences from them because then they're able to make the connections, either connections to what the experiences are, such as ones that Charles just wrote us about, or goal achievement. The more you can make the connections, the more benefit you're going to get from it. You're going to see what kind of transformation that you're experiencing. Okay, here's another one. Hello, my name is Vito and I'm going after my dream, starting a hypnosis coaching and NLP business. I've had some clients and it's been wonderful to be able to serve them. I still work as a press brake operator, bending metal full time and I know that that's the cause for my business not taking off. Do you have any advice? I really appreciate it. Well, I don't know enough about your experiences, excuse me.
Or about your situation to fully address it. But I have some thoughts for you. So I assume that you cannot afford to quit your job and go full throttle into your new business. If that's the case, be really clear on what you want to be creating, what is exactly your business and what services will you be offering? Very specific. Specific. Who's going to be your client? How are you going to find them? Write it out completely. The clearer you are as far as your goals, your intentions, your purpose, the easier it's going to be to move forward. With them and even to select the paralyminals to help you with that. Now, if you want some support in becoming clear in what it is that you want to accomplish, once a year we do a live, clear mind, bright future program. It's always just before New Year's. So it's coming up. It'd be the Friday before New Year's. Paul Scheele is leading it from 1:00 o' clock central time to I think 6:00 clock central time. So when you get the email about it, check it out because it might be something that you would be interested in. It could be very beneficial for you because it really does help get you clear on what your goals are and align your goals with your purpose. It helps you become clear of what your purpose is and all that other good stuff. I've been using this process myself since the mid-1980s, the first time that we began offering forever ago. Right. But it works. It's a very cool process. Now another thing that you can be doing is this is again for Vito, is.
You want to use paralytics that help to align your vision and your purpose with your life and your non conscious mind. You want to get all of the resources available to you online so that it's easier for you to achieve your goal by getting your business prospering. So speaking of prospering, the prosperity parallel is your friend. That's probably one of the best parallel to use as a catch all for bringing something into your life because it pretty much asks you three questions at the beginning. The first one is, what area of your life would you know? First question is, what would you like to have? What do you want to bring into your life? Second one is what area of your life would it be in? And then thirdly, if you could have it now, would you accept it? Would you welcome it into your life? So come up with what your goal is. Be very clear about. The goal is pause the recording if you need to so that you can be clear about it in your mind. And then, yes, I want to bring this into my, my life. You know what the benefits are going to be for you, Then sit back and listen to it. And that's something you could do every day if you'd like. I wouldn't really do the same goal or the same aspect day after day after day, because then you're. It might come across more that you're trying to force something to happen as well as opposed to allowing it to happen. But if you use a prosperity for one aspect on today and another aspect Tomorrow and another aspect the next day. Hey, more power to you. That will absolutely work. And a lot of the other parallels will help you too. All you have to do is scan through the list and do the ones you're drawn to. You know, when you're looking at the app, you'll see the name of the paralympical and you'll see the subtitle on it. And if that's of interest you hey, do that. Or if you want to learn more, just tap on that the icon there and it'll bring you into a page that gives you a whole lot more information about that paraliminal. But don't left brain it too much because there's so many different ways. I always say there's so many ways to get to Chicago, right? And it's the same thing with any goal. There's so many different parallel that can help you with your goal. So find one that you're drawn to, that you intrigued with and then use it. Okay? Another thing you'll want to do too is be making a list of the things that are getting in the way of your success or of getting the business going. Including, you know, what skills do you need to develop, what talents do you need to bring on board or what people you need to find and then find the parallel to help you. That's one of the things for the clear. My Bright future program too is that Paul brings you through a process to help you figure out what it is you need to be bringing into your life to make it easier to achieve your goals. And then when you know what this is, find the pair of limit that will support it the most. So for example, the get around to it that's perfect for helping to wire in your goals and dissipate procrastination issues. And I absolutely love on that. I'm not, I don't have a whole lot of procrastination. I've been using bare limits forever. But I tell you, it really does help bring your goal into your life. It helps you with your values and your priorities so that when there's something that you want, the reason you no longer procrastinate, because it really is something that you ideally do want in your life. And that's what get around to it does. Session A is about procrastination in general. Session B is about a specific situation. So I'll do session A on a semi regular basis because it is so good. But if there is something I'm just having a hard time getting to for whatever reason, then I do get around to it, session B. And it's like all of a sudden I can get it done. How Paul Shelley does it, he just does it, you know, it's really cool. And the expertise that it brings in is just, you know, I don't know if you know this, but before we created the first parallel, Paul had done hundreds if not thousands of individual sessions with people, closed eye sessions with them sitting in his office so he could see how they're responding to everything. And so he could see then what happens in their lives because he follows up with them. That's where the beauty of the parallel is come in. Yes, he has expertise and training and accelerated learning, neuro, linguistic programming, preconscious processing, a whole bunch of other things. But it's that had the hours and hours and hours that he spent with people to help him go through their changes and their transformation that's coming into the Paralympicals and that's why they're so effective. So another one that would be might be of interest would be the automatic pilot one because that one's really good about reducing self sabotage and negative self talk. And again it helps wire in your goals and if there is something you need to be doing, doing, if there's a particular task, it will help wire that in so it becomes an automatic process for you and other ones. If you're having problems with your business or just getting into everything, remember there's overcoming overwhelm, anxiety free, new behavior generator, 10 minute supercharger. There's any number of parallel that can help you just pick the one and go for it. Like I said, you know before, just make a list of the things that you want to take care of or enhance in your life and then find the pair of liminals to help you with them. And if you have questions about them, you're always welcome to call the office and ask for Wendy. She can help you in a brief telephone call, get clear on a couple things or to help you with a parallel. But the truth of the matter is you don't really need Wendy's help. All you need to do is to go through the periliminal, find one that interests you, be clear of what you want and then use it. But one thing is, don't use Paralympicals as an excuse for not doing your business right now. So you don't be saying, well I don't have time to do this because I have to listen to pair of liminals. See, paralyminals are used to support your new business, right? And just make sure that you Schedule everything into your calendar so you're scheduling all the tasks that you have to do so that you can really get your new business flowing as well as the parallel that you're going to be listening to. They all need to fit in your life so that you can make progress. And when you do that, you're going to have the skills and ability to deal with all the issues that come up as you move into the higher levels. Sound good? Okay, so next question. How do I address difficulty staying focused, the need to be a good planner and stay organized, productive, to bring my best self to the world? I would love to write a book. How do I make that happen? Well, so many of the things I've been saying during the session today are the types of things that you can be doing. One of them is the clear mind, bright future. Because that can help you figure out what you want to do and how to help it unfold in your life. And that's especially like, for example, if you want to write a book, all the process in order for writing the book and then getting it published, that can all unfold for you when you're doing clear mind, bright future. So keep that as an option. Focus and concentration is also really, really good for being able to concentrate. There's even something else you can do. Try this. You know how we always say that once you push play in the paralimal and you say what your intentions are, answer the questions with Paul and you just close your eyes and relax and just kind of go with the flow and the rhythm of the voices. And you can let your mind wander. But try this. Instead of letting your mind wander, try to stay aware during the perilyiminal. You don't necessarily have to be listening to what Paul is saying, but rather just pay attention to your breath. So you're breathing, notice your inhale and then exhale and just be paying attention to your breath through the whole parallel experience. And as another thought pops into your head, dismiss it, release it. And so inhale and exhale so that you're just focusing on your breath. And when a thought comes in, let it go. And what you're going to find is that initially you might be able to go a half a second, you know, one breath before thoughts start to come in or, and it may even take that once the thoughts start coming in, it may take some time before you even notice that other thoughts are coming into you, into your mind, because those thoughts have that way of worming in there. So then as you become aware of the thought, just let it go, just dismiss it, thank it, say goodbye, whatever, and let it go. And what you're going to soon find out is that you can go for longer and longer, longer periods of time without having other thoughts come in. Which means what you're doing is you're building your ability to focus. You do that process while you're listening to the focus and concentration paralyminal, that's going to be absolutely superb. You get a whole lot of benefit from it. But like I say, you can let your mind wander. You don't really have to pay attention to the paralyuminals, but paying attention to your breath is one good thing to help develop your focus. So a couple other parallel that could be good for you. Self esteem supercharger. That's one that one of my favorite ones too. That's it's always good for when you need to stay focused, to be a good planner, to get organized and all that stuff. Because it builds this incredible self confidence, this feeling that you can accomplish anything. Get around to it. Like I mentioned before, self actualization is really, really good for that. Especially about bringing your best self forward in the world and the prosperity, you know, the prosperity paranormal. You can use that for all the things that we've been talking about so far today. And for your writing, use the personal genius paralliminal. So before you sit down to write, like within an hour before you sit down to write in your book, listen to the personal genius parallel. I tell you, you won't have writer's block because that just dissipates all that. You can really get into that flow for your writing. I know a lot of writers or a lot of people that I've heard from. Clients who have used a personal genius through the years is that if they do it just before they write, they listen to it and then they just sit down at the computer or get out the notepad that everything is just flowing then. So usually it's like within an hour beforehand that you're going to get your best results. And the new behavior generator, if you haven't used a new behavior generator, get that one out because that one is so cool. That was a first parallel that we created way back in 1988, you know, a billion years ago because it was so powerful and it's been through a couple iterations since then. So the one that is in the app is the most up to date version of it. I think you're going to love it. So session A is about reframing, it's about taking care of Things that are keeping you from achieving your goals. So New Behavior generator, you clearly want to have a goal in mind so that you know what it is that needs to to happen. And session B, though, that's about modeling. It's about taking on a new behavior. So if you know someone who's written a book, you can model them and you don't have to have seen them write the book. You don't have to know what the whole process is. You just have to have a connection with them and know that they've written a book that you respect that maybe is a New York Times bestseller or something like that. The paralympical will help you take on so many of the attributes of that particular person so that when you are working on your book, it is so much easier to write the book. And that's the same thing for anything. If you want to improve your tennis game, use the new behavior generator. You can watch TV and then use the new behavior generator based on the tennis player that you've been watching on tv. It is so versatile and it is so powerful. And you know in each parallelism, when you get to the page with the first play button on it right below that, you'll see some bubbles, some tabs, and those tabs will help you go deeper to help you understand the paralyminal a little bit more, a little better. For New behavior Generator. That's the one I actually recommend that you sit and read those. Most of the other ones, you don't have to read them, they just kind of give you some insights. But the new behavior generator can help you get a whole lot more benefit out of this, the new behavior generator, quicker and more easily once you understand more how it works. Totally up to you though. Okay, next question. I'm wondering how best to address all this powerful content in the app. How much listening time per day is recommended to get the evolution or expansion of being within me happening so that I can show up in presence and not in fear. And I don't want to be blind or ignorant to the issues of the world. I want to be a light that shines in the darkness, to be in the world, but not of it. Okay, so first of all, when it comes to using paraliminals one a day, all you have to do is really do one a day. But you can do more.
A lot of people who are using the mind tracks, what they love about is the perilyn of the day. So they just come to the parallel of the day and they just see what that one is and say Yes, I want that. Maybe read a little bit about it so they can set up what their intentions are. That's one way to be able to have a parallel that you can just use every single day if you don't know particularly which paralleliminal you want to use. Now, as far as how many a day, you don't want a day. But I know a lot of people who do three paraliminals a day. So it's just part of their daily practice that they have. They get up, they listen to the Paralympical. The second paralyminal is either around lunchtime or right after work. And then third Paleminal is later in the evening or just before bed. That's a nice cycle if you want to do it, because a lot of people meditation practices like that. So if that's too much, by all means, don't do it because you don't ever want to.
Get the sense or have your other than conscious mind get the sense that you're trying to force anything. You simply want the paralyminals to be supporting your life. And that's the sweet deal. And so do whatever comfortably fits in your life. Now, typically I'll recommend for listening to one major goal or intention a day. So if you got something big going on, have all the sessions of the day kind of focused on that one. Or maybe you do if you're doing multiple paralytics that day, have one on your big goal and the other one's more minor goals or intentions. Don't work on two big goals at the same time in the same day because that can be a little bit overwhelming and that can, you know, it's, it's better if you don't just do one. That's what our clients have been telling us for you. And that's what I found too, when I've used the pair of liminals. And then, you know, any of the parallel will help you show up as a magnificent human being that you are. So just go through, pick them and listen to them. And the more when you're listening to it, you know, when you're there, you're making it a special time and just sit there. You're going to listen and you're going to just get into it. Yes, you can just grab your phone and sit down and listen to a parallel and get on with your life. It's a little bit better if you take a little bit more time and be a little bit more conscious or a little bit more intentional when you listen to the paralyminal. As far as other content, the app, we have those paralyminal courses. Those are really, really good because they have paralympinals that are built into them. And they're not the ones in the regular library, the, you know, the carousel, when you go back and forth. These are the ones that are created specifically for that parallel course. So you can get some parallel listings in there. Then you can get some teachings too. Because one of the cool things about the parallel, let's say you only want to listen to, you know, one, two or three in the day, but you have other time that you want to do something. Listening to one of the courses is something that's really good that you can do. And I'd say do one a month or one a quarter and just put it in your calendar, what you want to do to make sure that you don't forget what your goals and your intentions are with that. So get out your calendar, whether it's, you know, the one on the phone or whether you have a paper calendar or what have you, and write in that you can be doing the programs and you want to be doing them. Do programs consistently, and you want to be listening to parallel consistently because, you know, learning is lifelong. And also the world has a way of bringing stuff to us, of challenging us, of both the not so good, you know, when problems pop up, but also the good, good ones when the opportunities show up. And you always want to make sure that you are tip top shape, ready to take on any of the challenges that come your way. So that's why doing the courses once a month, quarterly, and doing the parallel models every day if you can. If you miss a day, don't worry about it. You know, I listen to Paralimnos most every day, but I certainly don't listen to them every day with everything else that's going on in my life. Especially because I have a nice robust meditation practice and I like to practice spring forest qigong and do yoga and that kind of stuff. And there are only so many hours in the day, so do what's best for you. And then the other thing is Paul's podcast. Those come up pretty much right now, I think, as every other week is when we're releasing a new one. So when one comes out, listen to it. And as you know, the first part of the podcast is Paul interviewing somebody who's quite fascinating. And those interviews have been really, really good. He's done a great job of being able to get important advice from them to help coach you into getting more from your life. But. And it's nice to see that connection there. But the sweetest part is after he says goodbye and then it's only him and you, he will tell you which paraliminals are best to use to put into action what his guest was talking to you about. So that's really, really good. So listen to the paramilitary. When you're in car, by all means. When you're vacuuming, mowing, not mowing the lawn because you can't hear, but you know, doing anything, by all means. But that second part, be sure to go back and pay attention to the advice that he gives you and write those down because those are paralympics that you might want to be listening to. So let's see. I think I got out. That's it, got it all. And when we do the next program we'll put it send you an email. We send you emails on Tuesday for the weekly update and there's usually a link in there so you can submit a question and then the just before we'll put a message inside you after so you can just tap on that message so you can leave a question for us. We love to answer the questions for you. We do them on a semi regular basis. If we get a whole lot more questions, we'll be doing them more often. More often. So that's it for now. Have a wonderful day. We'll see you again. Bye.
