Sonia Choquette – Trust Your Vibes

Transcript of a MindTracks podcast interview (Paul Shealy with Sonia Choquette) about intuition, 'vibes', spiritual guidance, and practical ways to reconnect with and trust one's intuitive intelligence. Choquette defines intuition as an 'inner teacher' or sixth sense, describes exercises to access bodily signals (heart/gut), demonstrates an in-session intuition check, and discusses energetic protection, spiritual guides, and legitimizing direct knowing.

You don't want to be sucked into everybody else's fears and limitations. You want to protect your own innate energy field and what feels true for you. And we are pack animals. We are socialized to go with whatever and, and especially I'll speak to this as a woman. Women are really socialized to kind of go with the guy or go with the authority figure. And don't be uncooperative. That, fortunately, is changing as the generations evolve. But to be able to stay true to yourself and not feel that there's something wrong with you, which is implied, that you're uncooperative and unpleasant, you're ruining everybody's fun. You have to protect yourself from the judgments of others, overriding your own better judgment and sense of what you know is right for you. That's what I feel we need to protect ourselves from. In other words, don't live for approval.
Welcome to the mindtracks podcast with breakthrough ideas to live your best life possible and how to make it happen. Paul I'm Paul Shealy and today we'll be talking with Sonia Choquette. Sonia Choquette is an intuitive guide, spiritual teacher, and best selling author of 27 books. Her breakthrough titles, Trust yout Vibes and Ask youk Guides lay the groundwork for living a deeply connected life. Sonia was raised in a family that believed intuition was necessary as a matter of survival. She was only 12 when she began offering intuitive readings and started her training with spiritual and metaphysical masters. Today, Sonia helps people quickly remedy any spiritual disconnection they feel and get answers they need to navigate challenges and lead a more authentic and joyful life. Foreign.
Hello Sonia. So good to be with you. Thanks for joining the podcast.
Oh, it's my pleasure, Paul. I'm excited. I always have loved your work, so this is a real opportunity. Thanks for having me.
Oh, great, thanks. You know, I love your work as an intuitive counselor, helping people really access their intuition. You're world renown, you're living in Paris and part time in London as well.
I think everybody knows the word intuition and perhaps from time to time have.
Intuitive intelligence show up for them. But could you give me from your perspective, what are the definitions of intuition and intuitive intelligence?
Well, I like to use the word itself means inner teacher. So it's like your inner guide. I, we, we have an innate inner guidance system that's cellular, organic in our heart, connected to our spirit, that helps us navigate life on every level. And I just, it's just as natural as I say. Whales have sonar and birds fly with radar and and we navigate energetically with vibration energy. So it's a natural sense that's been ignored and it's been.
Kind of denigrated, but it's waking up in people now. It's just a knowing that goes beyond your five senses because your whole, whole body is a radar receiver of energy. And it informs you not through the physical senses which are at a slower rate. It's just an energetic kind of understanding and knowing and a pulse on what's happening in your life. So if you're aware and you're present and you're, you're oriented toward listening to this, it comes pretty naturally. It's not a big stretch.
Okay, well you just put three giant barriers for most people on the planet. Aware, present and listening. Right. So I heard the distinction that it's heart. And I agree that if we look at just the nervous system itself, it looks like a giant antenna array and we really are oriented towards sensing the world. And I love on your book you're described as a six sense counselor. And I love that it wasn't six with a th, it's sixth sense. So what, what is that distinction? The sixth or the sixth senses?
Well, I, I, we've been conditioned to believe we have five senses, but we actually do have six. And it's not even.
A matter of do you believe it anymore? That's what I call so last century. I mean science has evolved and understanding that we have a conscious heart, we actually have a conscious gut. I actually don't think it stops with six. I think it goes to seven, eight, on and on.
Yeah, that it's called the enteric nervous system, that gut sense. I absolutely agree with you. Yeah.
So if we recognize what we need is a re education for what is natural to us in our natural knowing. My experience in teaching for as long as I have is that everybody actually is quite familiar and, and has quite a direct experience with their intuition, but their conditioning has been to invalidate it. So they, they ignore it, they argue with it, they tune it out, they look for logic based substantiation. It's like I can't figure this out. I don't know why I'm this. Because they feel they have to have a reason.
Absolutely. Because the reason, the reason is the thing that we're going to use to justify the position that we're taking.
Exactly. Which limits us because we are being directly informed with something our reason hasn't caught up with yet. Reason looks backward. Reason is about drawing conclusions based on your experiences in life. And a lot of Other people's opinions. Whereas intuition is having a direct experience. And I'm educating people say this sense, your six sense, is informing you in a different way than your other senses in just that it picks up more. It, its range of perception is higher than the five physical senses spectrum. And that my sixth sense is the reason there's no. We can't dumb it down to look for one of our other senses, our history to explain. I'm getting a direct communication right now in the moment that's giving me information that will help me make a better decision if I'll go with it instead of look for a reason why.
Excellent. So the reason why, the reason why in driving, by looking in the rear view mirror of our history that we're trying to.
Download, to put in front of us how we should go forward. I'm totally with that. And I'm also aware of the fact that a lot of these greater powers are often marginalized and there are plenty of reasons for it. I'd like to get into that as we go. I want to ask you, is there a distinction that you make between vibes, which is the word that you're using? Vibrational energy, any waveform, any sine wave, whether it's light, sand, pressure, temperature, any of that we're picking up according to research, the smallest unit of energy that can be measured, the brain, body responds to it. We know that the science is in. When you say vibes, is there a difference between vibes and intuition?
No. I think your vibes are what I think your intuition is the receiver and vibes are what you're receiving.
Okay, good.
You are receiving energy. It's informing you. And we call that that hub, inner guidance. It's like the, the, the, the matrix of receiving all of this and interpreting it for you, helping interpret it for your brain to make decisions in the moment.
Excellent, excellent, I get it. So we're all trained to see a world of objects. Space, time, distance, all of that. In the meditative tradition, we say a thought followed by a thought creates time. Two thoughts held simultaneously create space. So in the ancient wisdom traditions, we know we're creating all of this. And as a researcher, I use constructivist lens to understand the subjective experience. Because your vibes, your interpretation of that, that's subjective to the positivist, evidence based, concrete, reproducible. We need to know that this is verifiable somehow with our physical senses. And unless a person has studied a path of inner reflection and being present to the intelligence that's there, they will tend to hold A very cynical view of your way of knowing would you say to someone who is in that cynical mindset?
Well, it's interesting, Paul. I've been working in my field for over 50 years. So I've been like way out in the field and dismissed as the woo woo and the weirdo for the majority of that time. But here's what's interesting. In the last decade that's changing and science is evolving. The verifiable evidence that, that people are wanting is becoming more and more available.
So it's also more acceptable because it's a more robust.
Academic approach to being able to study somebody's subjective experience. That's how I got my dissertations, by using those methods. Yeah.
What I am sharing with people. And it's interesting because in my own academic ventures I came to a standstill at my, at my final research paper saying, look, everything about research is saying that the only way we can validate it is if someone else gives me their experience to validate my experience. And so I don't agree with that. I am outside that matrix. My direct experience takes more priority over what some scientists in the 50s said. So I've always been a bit of a maverick in that regard because I feel like what happens if we're always looking for evidence based backup for our direct experience with life? We become disempowered. It's like if I'm walking down the street and the hairs in the back of my neck stand up and there's someone 20ft behind me who looks benign enough, but I'm feeling intent to harm. Do I tell myself I'm crazy while they come, you know, jabbing on, you know, on my back? Or do I say, never mind the science, I'm going with my vibe and I am going to be okay with that. Then I empower myself to be make a decision in the moment that I'm not waiting for permission to go with. So I, I really believe that if you want to be empowered, go for the science, but don't suspend what you feel in the moment until you get it.
Beautiful.
Science is catching up with us, but we have to go with what we're feeling right now because we're one step ahead.
Experience?
Yes. I mean, very often when I describe things to my students, I say the science could be decades before they can validate that experience that I have had. I'm sharing you with you. My experience is firsthand and most of those sorts of things are dismissed. So let me ask you, I mean, you've been dancing on the Woo Woo fringes, experiencing spiritual guidance, understanding all of that, you've learned to trust it. And if somebody is coming with a history of distrust and in fact maybe have gotten scorched a few times for trusting a gut feeling and it didn't turn out the way they thought it would, what do you do to help someone get back on track? I love your Woo Woo workouts. I think in your book trust your vibes, that's a great way to think of it is unabashedly woo Woo.
Yeah, that's what it is.
Right? Well, I like to tell people that it's not a stab in the dark. It's actually having a direct, energetic, physical experience, that it's more subtle than you're used to paying attention to. Then vibes don't speak English or your native tongue. They're just pure energy that you then have to interpret. So there's a whole constellation of things that has to go on. Number one, do you want the information? To me, that is the biggest block. It's like, no, I love that guy, he's great. I want that job. I'm going to make that investment. Because you've predetermined that you want something that you're. That tunes out any contrary input. So a, are you open? Secondly, be in your body. So you have to do a few things that help breathe. I, I recommend that you, you move a little bit, go for a walk because it regulates your left and right brain and they get into a nice harmonious swing instead of fighting. And then your head and heart start to get into a nice harmonious communication. And then I always ask, tell my students, don't ask if your vibes are right because you're right back up in your head, check in your body and ask if they feel true. Does this feel true? Does it feel congruent? Does it leave me feeling harmonious? Do I feel peaceful? Even if the information I'm getting isn't what I want to hear, does it feel congruent?
Yeah. So even if, even if the intention, the vibe, is one of creating an anxiety or a nervousness, the most important thing is to really attend to that as an energy, not as a judgment call or as an assigned meaning or anything else.
And the second thing I always say is speak it out, don't get it out of your head and just say, put your hand on your heart, put your hand on your gut. Depending on whatever they're close proximity, you can get the same answer. What my, my, my heart says or my gut says, speak it out. And Listen. Is the, the sound of your voice comes from here.
Listen. Is it resonating? And then this is something that I've learned as a teacher. Always give yourself a choice. Acknowledge what you're feeling, but don't force yourself to pay attention or go along with it. Just name it. Even if you choose to ignore it, once you verbally express what you're feeling, you're going to have evidence pretty darn fast if it's worth listening to. So you can, I call it, you can be a member of the Woulda, Coulda, Shoulda club for a couple of weeks, but if you name it enough, it's going to bear witness to that. This should, you should pay attention.
Okay. I absolutely want to know more about what you're talking about right now. I think I may have an inkling of what you mean by it. I'm just not so sure. And perhaps a story could help.
How about if we do it with you? Yeah, please, let's just actually do it. Okay, so first thing that you need to tune into your intuition is you want to have an authentic question or an authentic availability. So is there any part of your life you're willing to share that where you genuinely would like some intuitive guidance that you could share with us?
Yes.
Don't know. So what would that be?
So there's a book that came to me, actually. I was writing a book on how do you gain access to the non conscious resources of our mind. And three guardians showed up and said, you're going to write about us. And I developed a firmware update and I had been teaching this, getting all kinds of great information about it. It's amazing, it's really tremendous. And I have not written the book.
Okay. So the question is, what is my hesitation?
Well, no, the question is, is this a book I need to be putting at the top of the list to write at this moment?
Okay. So the question would be, is this, is this, Should I make this a priority?
Yes. Good.
So here's a technique that works. I always say to get present, what I want you to do is look around and name one thing you see right in front of you right now where you are.
A very cool lamp.
Okay? Just register it and take a breath, exhale. And just kind of empty your brain again like you're blowing out candles.
Look at something else. One more thing.
Right in front of you.
Beautiful piece of art that a friend of mine in London created.
Okay? Check that out. Feel it come back to your breath and exhale one more time like you're blowing out candles. Emptying your mind. Now, next thing.
Fill in the blank. Very quickly, out loud. Is this book a priority? My head says.
Yes. Take a breath, open your eyes. Be present. Ah. Look and notice one more thing.
What do you see now?
An old timey 1800s map of London or of England.
Okay. So take a breath. Put your hand on your heart or your gut. Answer very quickly, out loud. My heart or my gut? Say yes.
And take another breath. Last question. Is that true, Paul?
No. I get this little wrinkle in my forehead, which is often a symbol of uncertainty or probably.
Did you go back to your head?
I. I don't think so. I felt the. I felt the wrinkle happen there.
So let's go back to. Does this feel true?
Too long. It took too long. Take a breath.
Let out some sound.
Ah.
Now let out some real sound because we want to open the throat, which opens to the heart, which opens to the gut.
Ah.
And my heart and gut say yes.
Does that. What does that feel like in your body?
It feels very resonant. It feels like it's a deep connection.
And your voice changed, your energy changed, your enthusiasm changed, Everything expanded.
Yeah.
When you got back up in your head, everything contracted. Your voice contracted, your. Your expression contracted. That is your intellect. And your intuition is expansive, so you can literally check by the energy that's happening. And then you get a choice. You can. You can go with it or not. But I think it's very important to give yourself a choice.
Yeah. Good. It. It makes total sense to me.
The.
What's interesting is knowing what it will take and what I will be confronting along the way. There's this sense of hesitancy or doubt that sort of comes in at an intellectual level.
Here's what I.
Don'T know. You're assuming your assumption, based on your past, is that it's going to be a similar experience.
Correct? Yes.
However, you had three guardians come in, which is a very different experience. So it might create something very different that you don't know.
Ah. So, yeah, I'm trying to hold the.
Space for something different.
I get it. So what I'm trying to do is I'm trying to stuff the guardians into a bottle in the past.
You're contracting them.
Yes. And. And they had to show up the way.
And that's no fun. What if Instead I've written 27 books? I have never. I wouldn't even know how to do a book proposal, let alone figure it out. I just sit and write. Seems to miraculously organize itself. And I Haven't ever done a rewrite. I've only had some edits with an editor. But your intuition and your guardians have their own order. It is not a chaotic experience. It's actually very congruent and harmonious and beautiful. So it might be a whole different way and a whole different thing. That would be fun to discover.
Yes, it does have fun to discover. I really love it. Yeah. And so much nicer than trying. Like the academician, you know, the writer of the last big project I did was writing my doctoral dissertation. And that was brutal.
I mean, I know that is brutal.
It was an amazing experience. I gave myself a lot of time and space to do it, and it was very difficult. So I used all my resources to make sure that I could complete it. It was really. It was an amazing experience. And difficult.
Well, this is what I have a problem with academia, is that I think it doesn't validate your direct human experience. It actually confronts challenges and often attacks it. So that is. That is definitely why intuition has been so denigrated, to our detriment. And if you look at any real innovative scientists, inventors, musicians, artists, poets, and you ask what was the defining element that brought them to create such magnificent.
Creations, they will almost unilaterally say it was an intuitive motivation. It was an intuitive guidance. Like Einstein discovered the theory of relativity when he was playing the piano. And Steve Jobs, of course, is going to attribute his work in India and this meditation with, I got this hit to create this whole new way of communicating, and. And we could go on and on. So I think that it's time to start validating direct knowing as a legitimate way of knowing.
Absolutely. And.
Philip Goldberg years ago, wrote a book called the Intuitive Edge, where he was interviewing top executives from major corporations. And without exception, they say they always make their decisions intuitively. And then they go back and construct this elaborate rationale for how to manager.
But it's for their managers, because they are not they. And, you know, it's interesting that you bring that up, because I have cited that, because he was interviewed in the Harvard Business review in the 80s, right. And I use that as my. My power. When a lot of people were saying, you are ridiculous and idiotic and we don't want to talk to you. And I'd say, well, usually managers think the way you do, but leaders don't. Leaders are intuitive and they will validate their intuition. Even though in that same interview, as he didn't read the book, he said that these great intuitive leaders.
All their guidance, but didn't Tell others exactly. That's where you get that. Nice. It's like, I believe we should change that now. I believe the world is ready to change it. And frankly, anybody who's Gen X, Gen Z, the younger people coming up, their brains are completely wired to, to get on board with this consciousness. Quite naturally I agree.
And sometimes what happens is that people come to that awakening by way of some kind of trauma where they finally just surrender. They say, okay, I give up, I can't, I can't handle this any longer. And that's where, I don't know if we call it divine intervention.
I do.
Good. So I want to talk about that. Because once we do awaken, our soul really does guide the rest of our continued education along that path. So what is it that's happening in those moments of surrender that finally, I don't know is it, is it opens the curtain or creates enough of a crack or a lens?
I feel as we're literally changing the channel.
Oh, cool.
Ego. Your ego self is part of your physical, mortal, finite being. It's scared because it is, it's wired to, to end. When you're, when you die, your ego goes with it. So it's trying to control the show, but it, it knows its limitations and spends a lot of time protecting you from life, you from others, you from judgment, you from competition, you from ambush, whatever. It's always great. But when you change the channel and you begin to connect to. Well, there's more to me than just this temporal self, this human in time centered self. I have a spirit. I have a, an untethered, unlimited self that resides in my heart. It's my life force. And when I change the channel to that, couple things happen. First, your brain gets quiet. It start. I call your brain your barking dog. It's like your barking dog finds everything, makes it skittish in every way and it's always ready for an attack. Your, your spirit in your heart isn't scared. It's not living life from a, from a place of, of limitation and fear. It's living with the, the goal of connection, creativity and flow. So it's, it's like, I call it like going from AM radio to satellite. You know, AM radio is a lot of talk, talk, talk, and a lot of subjective, limited opinion and a lot.
Of, a lot of static too. A lot of noise.
And then the satellite, you get to see the bigger picture. And I use language like see, but it's not really necessarily I see. It's like vision. You, you, you sense.
That you're okay. And if you're not, you're going to move away before you actually encounter anything that's incongruent with your well being. So we're. If we start the whole thing, intuition basically boils down to changing your identity from ego to spirit.
Okay.
When you make that change, everything makes sense. And until you make that change, your ego, which science loves to write run, is going to fight it and fight it and fight it and fight it and block it and do everything it can because the ego is about to get unseated. So it's, it's working really hard to prevent that from happening.
I think you'll like the Guardians of Change program that I produce because what it does is it helps us understand that these egoic presences that we created as protection mechanisms guard the open mind, the open heart and the open will. And when we have an open mind, open heart, open will, we have that open connection to source. We know that it's always going to be there for us and guiding us. And when I say we encounter those guardians, a lot of time the hands are out as you shall not pass. And all it's trying to do, it's not trying to send us home, it's trying to say, look.
Across this line is a transformation of your life. Don't cross it unless you're all in. And what I hear you saying, Sonya, is that it's easy to go all in. It's our natural state. So yeah, if we live coherently with our true divine Source and if we live congruently according to our an open heart, open mind, open will to step forward into this life, we're always taken.
Care of and better than we can figure out.
Way better. Way better. Absolutely.
Story to tell you. I was standing in Chicago with my friends and family in July one summer, ready to board a flight to Paris. And it was full on, packed, just like travel is today. We had our boarding cards ready to get on the flight and all of a sudden spirit said, take, ask them to give you tickets to another flight. So I, my family knowing me, stepped aside and I walked up to the agent and I said, excuse me, I'm wondering, we're ready to. I know you're ready to board this, but do you think you could please look for us for tickets on another flight today? And that the woman at the gate was trying to get ready and board and she truly thought I was a nut and she was very nasty to me and said, absolutely not. And so I said, well, you know, I travel a lot, I'm One of your. One of your top fliers. Will you at least just humor me and look? So she. She obliged me, but she was very angry that I was interrupting her process. And I. She said, it's not possible. And I said, well, you look and I'll pray. So.
Few minutes, seconds later, her partner comes over and he says, what's going on? Because he could tell she was pissed. Like he was ready to call security on me. And I said, I'd just like us to take another flight. And he said, by the way, there's eight of us. And literally they were ready to call security. And just then, the captain walked up to her while I'm standing there, and he goes, I'm sorry to tell you, this plane has a mechanical and we're not going anywhere.
And she just looked at me. She's like, how did you know? And I said, I felt it. And I got eight tickets. We were the only ones out that night. So you have to be willing to take a little tension and not get defensive. Just hold it. Just hold the space for my vibes matter. And so that's one of my favorite stories about don't be logical. Go with your vibes.
Yeah, I love that. And it's so important also.
That when other people are operating from this socialized mind and this limited limitation of possibility and opportunity and all of that, this is never going to happen. I can't do it. That we're able to stand in our truth, first of all, perceive our truth, but then stand in it. So I love it. You speak sometimes at about protecting ourselves. Could you say a little bit more about energetic protection, why we might need it?
Well, I like to say I'm not. I'm not saying that the. I don't subscribe to the idea that the world is this horrible, dangerous place and we have to hunker down and put on our psychic armor. I think the third dimension, the ego frequency is. Is pretty combative. Everybody's fighting everybody for power and control. It's an unpleasant frequency. So what I'm saying is protect yourself from getting sucked into that frequency. You don't want to be sucked into everybody else's fears and limitations. You want to protect your. Your own innate energy field and what. What feels true for you. And we are pack animals. We are socialized to go with whatever. And especially I'll speak to this as a woman. Women are really socialized to kind of go with the guy or go with the authority figure. And don't be uncooperative. You know that fortunately is changing as the generations evolve. But to be able to hold your. To stay true to yourself and not feel.
That there's something wrong with you, which is implied that you're uncooperative and unpleasant. You're ruining everybody's fun. You have to protect yourself from the judgments of others, overriding your own better judgment and sense of what you know is right for you. That's what I feel we need to protect ourselves from. In other words, don't live for approval.
That's a big one. But that's the most important thing.
And historically, because we are social beings, to get ostracized was very dangerous for our potential future. If we get kicked out of the tribe, that's a problem.
So.
So it's okay that you could feel the disturbance in the force when we're stepping beyond what the norm might suggest. I think that that's a great way of positioning it all. Sonia I had a friend who took one of my classes and she admitted that when she was a little girl, she woke up with a horror in the middle of the night. Ran and crying to her parents. We've got to get my cousins out of their house. Are burning to death. Oh, sweetheart, you're, you know, you're just having a nightmare. Go back to sleep. And in the morning the family got the call that it had happened. Nobody would talk about it.
That's the crime.
Yeah. This. The sign on the mantle said we, you know, we don't attend it being very Christian. This was like bad stuff. And, and I've for her when she would have a clear intuitive knowing, it would create a backache. And I, I coached her right.
It corresponds. Our body is energetically has its own hierarchy like Maslow's hierarchy. And the first intuitions and why it gets a bad rap sometimes is our most basic intuition is survival like the fire and, and things that are bad. So if we're not educated and understand that that's just our most basic intuition, we start to associate it with bad things. I don't want to know. And it's like, well, wait a minute, let's be logical here. Denial is no protection. This is helping you. But if we have, if we have a matrix or a world that, that doesn't validate this, then you, you really are like this poor young woman at that time really banished. She was really shamed for her own legitimate knowing. And this is why I've been such a, such a campaigner for, for legitimizing intuition and helping people find support. And, and if you can't Find that support in your own family. Find your spirit family. Find your best station. You need a community. I grew up in a family of seven. I grew up in a home where the sixth sense was the first. My mother was deaf. She was a. She was in a prison of war camp in Germany. She lost her family. She had no language. So she said, I was blessed. I couldn't hear and they didn't have any authority figures to, to control me. All I had was my vibes to save my life. And that's what she gave us. So I grew up with a whole community saying, well, whatever, trust your vibes. No matter what anybody says, trust your vibes. And so I realized that's that probably the primary difference between me and someone else is not that I'm inherently more intuitive, but I was given the gift of the community. And that's what I've been creating my whole life for people is means to find mirroring that validate you so that you will stay true to what you feel.
Beautiful. And scientists have even identified mirror neurons that seem to be the very basis of civilization and language. So, yeah, I'm. I'm totally on board with it. I want to kind of finish our session today, just talk a little bit about the spirit.
And because not our spirit, but the spiritual beings around us or spiritual teachers or spiritual guides. Because when I received a very important download, I thought, oh, well, this is my intuition giving me something. And what I later realized something like 20 years later, is that was guided by the lineage that I was initiated into. These avatars, teachers, light beings in other dimensional realms that were trying to get this to humanity. It didn't land just on me, it landed on others simultaneously. I found a way to make it happen. So how do we in a way know that this is a safe thing to reach out to a lot of people, really vilify the idea that, you know, we could speak to others on other dimensional realms. What do you have to say?
Well, basically, Paul, I have two major works in my life that as much as I've written a lot of books, the two major ones are trust your vibes, and the second one is ask your guides. And what we need to understand is that we are spiritual beings, not religious, not mental, spiritual spirit beings. And there are many levels of consciousness in the spirit realm. So we are multi dimensional. We have snippets of that experience when we have prophetic dreams or we have out of body experiences that are very spontaneous and not planned. But we enough of us have had them and we've all had. We have had experiences where we feel that we're being guided. Like, like that must be an angel. We say it. People talk about it all the time. I feel like an angel helped me. Where did that come from? Or I feel like I have this guide in my head. It's because as we lift out of our ego, we are beginning to tune into these higher frequencies of consciousness in this more subtle realms that are trying to elevate us in our human journey back to our birthright, back to our original blueprint, our. Our original frequency. That's why we're all kind of marching home in a way. And these higher beings are coming in, and now they're coming in left, right and center. I mean, there's more and more and more and more of this channeled experience, this spontaneous downloads. I'd say in five years, it's going to be considered a lot more natural for anybody under 50. Older people have had maybe more conditioning that that gets fixed. And they don't want to change or open up to what leaves them feeling vulnerable or out of control. But if we have less of that imprint, we're going to get more direct experience. So I would say, in fact, I just had a post today saying, are you changing? And I put it on my YouTube channel. I said, are you changing? Do you notice you're getting downloads? Do you notice you are aware of guides? Do you notice you're starting to be aware of the choices you make and what you're thinking and the energy around you? Because we are evolving and you're part of it and it's happening. So rather than having the habit of saying crazy, say interesting, let's just call it interesting. Let's see where this goes. But to your question about how do we know we're safe? Trust your vibes. If you feel incongruent, if you feel like this goes against my moral code, if you feel this is asking me to. To betray my boundaries and my, my good judgment and taking care of myself, well, use common sense, because any higher frequency is divine love and will only help you feel more authentic, more empowered and, and at ease with yourself, not less. But it, it will scramble your brain, like looking for logic. You're going to not find it. There is no logic yet. Quantum physics is help. Physicists are helping us with a little bit of this, but we're still pretty new at the. At science catching up. So I would say trust your own experience and use your own good judgment.
Excellent. You have a new granddaughter. I have a granddaughter now, three years old at the time that we're recording this. And, you know, she is. She has come through into a universe that's more evolved than the one that you and I were born into. Right. And so it does make sense to pay attention to what the energy is. And I totally adore this girl. And it is so interesting the way she looks at the world. She looks at it with real suspicions, like, are you going to be one of those people that. Are you going to shut me down? Are you ready to let me play and really open up this game? It's. It's fascinating to me to watch her.
I agree with you. My newest teacher is my two and a half year old granddaughter. We were. We were in the park yesterday and the wind was blowing and she was in the trees and she threw her hands open and said, hello, friends. Welcome to my house. And I just laughed because that was so her true experience, being connected to the earth. I thought, okay, that's my lesson for the day.
Oh, that's gorgeous.
Hello, friends.
Hello, friends. Welcome, spirits. And yeah, I do ceremony where I welcome spirits in the seven directions. And it's. It's important, I think, to realize as multidimensional beings that we have access to so many resources beyond what we have been instructed to use. So thank you so much for the gorgeous work that you've been doing all of these years. Your book is a real testament to how you have trusted your vibes and helped others to trust theirs. As a parting thought as we say goodbye, any final thoughts to our listener?
Well, I would say if you really want to get connected to your intuition, like turning it on immediately, just go for a walk. And as you walk, name all the things you love, because that art channel is going to open up. Even just recognizing what you love will bring that energy out, because intuition is the frequency of divine love flowing through you.
Gorgeous. Thank you so much. It's been so fun to have you here. I can't wait to see you again.
Me too. Big hugs.
All right. Peace and blessings.
I hope you enjoyed our conversation with Sonia Choquette. You can learn more about sonja@soniachoquette.net that's S O N I A C H O Q U e t t e.net and now, in the second part of the podcast, it's just you and me. I'll tell you how to use the parallel sessions in the MindTrax app to easily handle obstacles and move toward the success you want, especially as it relates to our discussion with Sonya. If you're new to the relaxing Paralympical audio sessions. They use breakthrough technologies to activate your whole mind in only 20 minutes to help improve any area of your life. Let's get going.
Welcome to the Follow on to my conversation with Sonia Choquette where we're talking about trusting your vibes, really being in touch with your intuitive intelligence, being able to use that to create the life that you really want to live into more than anything else. Wow. I mean, she was really focusing on what we can do to recognize the natural gift of intuitive intelligence. It's a gift. Everything about us is designed to receive it. And historically, we marginalize those kinds of perceptions, we deny those kinds of intuitive insights, and we end up living, in many cases, off target or against the true flow of the life that we're here to experience, manifest what we want, find the best ways and means to get there, and so on. I. It was an amazing.
Experience for me to be with her and get some of those insights she shared with me. I already put them to practice since I saw you. I got a download and I started writing.
Trust that vibe. Write it down while you can. So there are really four areas that I think were most important for us to consider as we look at using paralyminal technology to make the most out of some of the directions that Sonia was suggesting we go in. The first is about being present. Second is about opening your intuitive perception. Third is about living from your heart, which is a. It's a neat idea intellectually, but really what's the lived experience of that? And she said, just got to feel it, notice it while it's happening. And then the final is about trusting yourself. Ultimately, it's about trusting that the signal that you are receiving is one to attend to. Trust it, trust that vibe, and live in accordance to what you know is right. So often we're trained by the world to doubt. And so most of the time when we get those kinds of signals, the first thing that comes up is doubt or resistance. So lots of fun in terms of being present the first of these four areas. I thought that the parallel that I did with Hale Dwask and called letting go would be super good for this. It's the idea of just welcoming whatever is at that moment you're having a.
Feeling.
Whatever that feeling is, could you just welcome it? And the triple welcoming process is what I do with hail on this para liminal. It's really lovely and it really puts you in touch with the energy that happens to be there. And whatever is not yours to attend to. You can let it go and just be Present to what's there. The other one that I thought would be really interesting kind of surprised me when it occurred to me to use this one. It's called Creating Sparks. And what it is, it's about how energetically we interact with another human being that we allow ourselves to be fully present to the energy that we are. And when we're in communication, really see that it is the interaction between your field of energy and another person's field of energy and the connections that you have there. So it's going to be a neat training experience to having an embodied recognition of that vibrational energy that we're always perceiving and always transmitting from this antenna array that really is about sending and receiving messages.
The idea that we could connect with someone way faster through our. That energetic connection than we could through our speech, through our communication process is a very interesting one. It is the first form, the first principle of communication is that energy connection.
So that's about being present. Secondary is opening your intuitive perceptions. And certainly the para liminal that I did called intuition Amplifier will really help you do that. It's about the fact that when we get an intuitive insight of some kind, it might be an image, it might be a feeling, it might be a voice. There's always some signal just before that. Think about the threshold of your conscious awareness. This kind of squiggly line here.
There are messages that are now in our conscious perception and there's messages that are just below our conscious perception. It's the message below that that comes into the periphery of our awareness that we then notice there was a voice, there was an image, there was a gut in. In impact of some kind of gut feeling. And it's. There is a signal just before that. And amplifying that signal helps us to become even more clear and clean about the messages that are occurring to us. Really good one. The other one about opening our intuitive perceptions is to realize that we can really trust that we're always doing the best that our current awareness permits. And it's about increasing our current awareness that gives us more access to more of the real power and potential that's in us. And so we imagine connecting with our younger self and we connect with our elder self. And we have essential, essentially a circle of communication. Could think about it also as a communication between me, myself and I. Me is that physical presence. Myself is that personality that I've developed. And the I am presence is that spiritual presence that Sonia spent so much time talking about. We are spiritual beings. It's most of us Think, yeah, I'm just a human and we make a mistake, well, I'm only human, right? No, the, the truth is we're spiritual beings having the human experience.
And when we recognize our divine birthright as spiritual beings and we bring that spiritual intelligence into our daily living, that's where the game really changes. And our soul self is always guiding that process. So opening your intuitive perceptions is an important message in this. The next is about living from your heart instead of from your head. Right.
There is that other side of the equation. So it's specifically about living from your heart. There is a para liminal I created called youthful vitality where you get to choose from an array of childlike qualities that we lived more readily when we were younger, before we came socialized by our culture and before we dismissed many of the rare and special gifts that are naturally imbued within us. So this is an opportunity to bring one of those. Each time you listen to bring one of those qualities to the forefront and live into that, you will connect with a lot more of the amazing creative potential that's within the other one in terms of living from your heart is called self actualizations. Now there is a very rational movement towards self actualization, the real purpose of which is to live in a self transcending life, which is beyond the lower needs that are often competing for our attention to get met in our everyday society. So self actualization parallel is a, an amazing opening to this recognition that you're here for a purpose greater than all of this and it's time for you to live that greater purpose. Very cool parallel. The next one that I was saying would be helpful for us is about trusting ourselves. And when you can trust yourself, you know that you're always doing the best your current awareness permits. It's easy to right now look back at something you did in the past and go, I shouldn't have done that. Well, you only know that now if you punish that younger you for having done it and learning it, we're really shutting down a lot of our greater potentials. We essentially mistakenly impose.
Same kind of punishment that our culture doled out on us as we were growing up. Don't do that. You know, really live from that place of your heart. Trust yourself. And the paralympical that I think does this really well is called the self esteem supercharger. And you may know the story, they actually started building a self image supercharger. But it's not about self imaging, it's about self love. It's about a compassionate view of ourselves. Wherever we are in whatever situation being able to accept and acknowledge and allow ourselves to be who we are in this moment, doing the best that we know how, and therefore increasing that self love, that.
Self esteem.
And the final para liminal I might encourage you to listen to is called Finding Yourself. So in terms of trusting yourself, it's nice to look at the arc of your life and realize this path has brought you to where you are today. Loving yourself at in each of the developmental levels that you have gone through, all the way back before the time of actually being born, back in the time of the womb to here you are a spiritual being coming into this life that you're about to live. How cool to remember your divine inheritance and the real purpose for you to come here.
Those are the paraliminals I'd recommend enjoying trusting your vibes and living a more intuitively congruent life in a place of flow and divine wisdom.
