"Soul of Money" Paraliminal with Dr. Paul Scheele and Lynne Twist

A short paraliminal/audio program in which Dr. Paul Scheele (with contribution from Lynne Twist) introduces and guides listeners through three core ideas from the book The Soul of Money: sufficiency (the universe provides what is precisely needed), flow (currency and resources must circulate to remain healthy), and appreciation (what you appreciate grows). The piece links personal mindset, cultural conditioning, and practical metaphors (water, blood) to encourage experiencing abundance and generosity.

Yay. Hey everyone.
Good to see you. It's wonderful to be here with you today. We're talking about one of my all time favorite parallel. If you get tired of me saying that, it's because whichever one I happen to be focusing on, that moment really is so fabulous. I'm excited to share with you what it's all about. This is called the Soul of Money, which was inspired by my colleague Lynne Twist, who wrote a book called the Soul of Money. And we collaborated on the development of the script and we actually recorded this program in three ways. With her alone, with me alone, and with her and I together. And it's a beautiful paralliminal. And there are three major principles that I'd like to share with you about how this parallel works. The first is the concept of sufficiency. The universe is abundant. And the interesting thing about the way the universe provides that abundance is that it gives us everything that we need. In other words, the universe is precise, doesn't give us too much, and never leaves us with not enough, always gives us the precise amount to be sufficient. Now, Lynn experienced this by traveling all over the world and working with indigenous communities in, well, all over. And one of the things that she realizes, if for whatever reason someone in the community would have more than they would need, it would always be shared with others. So there was always enough for everyone. And this principle of sufficiency is essential for us to recognize because when we think that there isn't enough, there isn't enough to go around, there isn't enough for you, there isn't enough, then you'll begin to recognize the sense that it's you that's not enough, that you're not enough somehow. And that's absolutely not true. But it's easy for us to come to that conclusion as a result of the way we're raised. In the culture in which we are raised, whether it's your education, your family system, your community, your culture, your, your religion, it doesn't matter. Almost without exception, there is this. It's very easy for us to get this sense that we're not enough. Somehow that might mean also that we're not worthy, we're not worthy to experience the abundance or the great fullness that's available to every single person. So that's the first concept is the concept of sufficiency. And the soul of money really brings us concept to you in a powerful way. The second is the idea of flow, that in order for us to experience the abundance that's all around and within us Is it has to be in flow. The word.
Currency comes from the root to flow. And if you think about water has to be in flow in order for it to be pure and healthy and good. Blood within the systems of our body has to be flowing. If it's stagnant, becomes toxic, and it can kill you. Same thing is true with our financial resources. They need to be in flow. You can't bury them in the backyard and hope that that's going to appreciate and value somehow. We need to be able to keep our energies, our purpose in life, our activities, our focus of service, our financial resources invested in a way that allows the economy, whether it's our local economy or it's our.
National economy, or whether it's our global economy, it needs to be in flow in order for it to be productive. The third concept of this program is this idea of appreciation. And this is the notion that what you appreciate, appreciates. Appreciation means growth. And when you focus your energy on anything, your energy tends to flow in that direction. It's the concept of the law of reinforcement. You get more of what you reinforce. When you direct your attention to something, your energy flows in that direction. So when you think about what is it that you truly appreciate in your life?
When you think what is it that you're most grateful for?
That gratefulness tends to appreciate the value of what it is you're focusing your attention on. And that area of your life will tend to grow commensurate to your focus and level of appreciation. And so this is the final concept, the concept of the great fullness of life. Being able to come to you and be experienced. That happens when you appreciate what it is that is all around you. And it could be simple as this sunrise today. If the sun isn't rising, it could be the beautiful pattern of clouds in the sky. If it's snowing or raining. The beauty of those.
Everything can be appreciated. Think about the people in your life that you appreciate. The work that you have the opportunity to provide a service to others and appreciate everything that you can think of, that you can appreciate, will have a tendency to grow in value and help you recognize the great fullness that's within that can then flow out in your life to all those that you choose to care for and support. And that helps us recognize the great sufficiency of our lives and the universe. Enjoy the soul of money Parallel. I hope you can listen to it today. If you can't listen to any other para liminal. And tomorrow we'll see you for the next one thanks for being a part of this. Peace and blessings.
