Here's today's OLP Quick Tip. We're talking about the setup for a deadlift or clean or snatch, whatever exercise where you're pulling the bar from the ground. We want to make sure we're starting in a braced and neutral position. That's going to start by bracing our core at the top. As we go down into the bar, we don't want to just drop forward, bend our knees and grab the bar. We want to hinge into the position. Once we're able to grab the bar, we want to pull the bar apart. This keeps our lats engaged so the bar stays nice and close during the lift. And finally, before we just rip it off the ground, we wanna make sure we're pulling the slack out of the bar and essentially just pulling half the weight before we actually pull it. This will keep us stable, this will keep us neutral in our spine, and it'll keep us safe during the movement. Hope that helped, catch you next time.
