Here's today's OLP Quick Tip. We're talking dumbbell bench press setup. Now this is going to be a lot more complicated than your traditional barbell bench. We don't have a rack to unrack and rerack the weight overhead. We have to get from point A to point B without that rack. Wish it was simpler, but it's not. What we want to make sure we're doing is setting up in the safest and most stable way every time. That begins with shrugging the shoulders back, and as we lean back with the weight, we're going to kick the weight up with our, with our knees. Get momentum, take it over the shoulders. We're going to do our set, press, press, press. And after our last rep, we're going to leave the arms locked out, rotate the dumbbells back in, bring the knees back up to the chest, and slowly but safely guide the weight down. Not slamming it down, not trying to muscle it down. Might tear a pec that way, might injure our shoulders. This is the safest way to do it. Hope that helps. Check you next time.
