So we're here to talk about the debrief on Axie Infinity. And you know, this is one of my favorite things to do is look at what is going on in the world and talk about it. So right now, what is Axie Infinity? Well, it is a Pokémon-like game that has a virtual economy of its own. Now, just like in all in-game currencies, these can be used to buy land or farm or breed Axie. When did this start? It started in the late 2017 era, which is only just a few years ago. It just seems like yesterday. And since launch was over $2 billion in total, the NFT transaction volume was one of the biggest that had ever happened. So right back then, it was $150 to $200 worth of ETH to get in, and now it's 10 times that to participate. So I want to know, why do you think this is important for our audience to know about?
Well, because it's changing lives, first and foremost. People are being employed in this ecosystem, and that seems like a crazy statement, but you're seeing this play out over and over again where people are actually deriving their livelihood from being in the game, playing in the game.
And they have an interesting currency. It's unique just to them.
Yeah, it's got a little funky name, SLP. It's Smooth Love Potion. So who doesn't want a little smooth love in their life?
But that's one of the reasons why people were interested in the beginning. They thought it was Isn't that the truth?
And what's happened as a result of that is people are spending an inordinate amount of time. Their average user spends over 2 hours a day on this platform. Media companies would kill to have those sort of numbers.
Eyeballs for over 2 hours on average, that's unheard of anywhere else.
And so look at the extension possibilities as these projects grow and become more commonplace.
We were talking about another one that's really interesting, which is called the Sandbox.
another project, Stoner Cats. It's a television show. It is not an unrealistic thought process to say, where are the opportunities for sponsorship? Where are the opportunities to develop and grow that ecosystem? And so what's happening now is already massively disruptive. You, you see it. I mean, certain countries have such mass adoption of a project like this, it's changing their not only the way that their currency is being valued, but actually their workforce is gravitating towards this because it's a much more lucrative path to financial freedom.
That's going to hurt us in the VA market because I have so many VAs from that side of the world. This sounds like something even more interesting. So what is happening right now is kids in different countries can make money by playing games with each other. And if you haven't caught on to this yet, This is revolutionizing gaming and in my eyes, even education. So you were talking about one of the biggest sales forces in here is in the Philippines, right?
It's true. And so the average salary in the Philippines is $200 a month. Folks on average that are playing this game in the Philippines are earning 5 times that, $1,000 a month. It is a game changer for these people and it gives them a path to things educational opportunities, medical advances, just things that they never had access to. And so I—
And by the way, who's the biggest bread earners in the family now? It's the kids.
It's absolutely the kids, which is a wonderful way because especially culturally, the kids being able to support their elders, there's actually a beautiful component to that. But for me, it's not only the good that is being done because of this game, it's what can come of that. So we're teaching these younger generations That they don't have to go the conventional route. Like, I see so many of my friends who have kids who are 15, 16, 17, and the path when it was my age, it was what college are you going to go to? Now the questions are, oh, what path are you going to take educationally? And it's not a 4-year university anymore.
And you don't even have to wait. It's what path are you going to take right now?
Absolutely.
So The saying is, you know what, be left behind or join in right now. And I'm telling you, join in right now or you will be left behind.
Oh, I feel like I'm already left behind. I need to be in there even more.
Excellent. So, I will take some advice from you and from the kids in the Philippines. Right now, you get to get paid for your game playing.
