It's all about the obliques, which are your side abdominal muscles. That's what we're focusing on today. Definitely going to be a full core workout, but it's going to be quick and dirty. We have 10 moves. You do each move for 40 seconds of work, followed by 20 seconds of rest. You're just doing it one time through, no repeats. And I have the awesome Rachel. Hi. Who's going to be offering modifications so you can take it at your level today. For this core workout, all you're going to need is one dumbbell. If you want to add weight to the first four exercises, you can absolutely do this with no weight at all. But we're going to jump right in, no warm up, because we're just going to get after it. Today we're going to grab our weights and go for one of my favorite oblique exercises, the good old wood chop. You're going to be standing. The weight's gonna come outside the left knee and go over the right shoulder. Left knee, right shoulder. Really targeting those side abs, but definitely gonna feel your full core for this one. We go 40 seconds on, and it starts in three, two. Let's go. Left knee, right shoulder, left knee, right shoulder. Bend and drive. So you're bending the knees. Power through the heels, drive through the hips. See that weight overhead? Taking that weight across the midline is where those obliques come into play, right? Transferring the load from low to high. Hello, obliques. They're turn. There they are. Nice work. Come on. It's 40 seconds. You can only do each side once. Inhale, down, exhale, chop. Inhale, down, exhale, chop. You got this. Come on. 10 more seconds here. 10 more seconds. Yes, you can. Right here. Finish it. Nice final 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Nice work. Now you're gonna take that weight. I'm gonna put it right in the left hand. Let's go left. Left hand. Right toes are gonna face out. Left toes face forward. I'm gonna shoot this weight overhead. Totally optional. Rachel's gonna go without the weight windmill. I'm gonna slide my right hand down my right inner thigh, cinch myself back up with my obliques. We go in three, two. Let's go. Nice. Take it down and up. You do yoga. A little bit similar, like triangle pose. You're sliding down and then pulling yourself up. Really thinking about using my left obliques here to. To stand myself back up. Hinge and change. Hinge. Push those hips back. Drive up through those obliques. Nice. Weight is totally optional. If you got that weight, it's locked out right over that left shoulder. Eyes on your dumbbell. Pull yourself up using these obliques. Ten more seconds. Here we go. Drive up. Nice. Right here. Finish. 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1. There it is. Nice. Same two moves. We're just going to repeat them. Other side so it's no repeats. You only do each once, right? You take that weight. Right knee, left shoulder. Right knee, left shoulder. You're going to chop it out. You got 10 seconds of rest. Roll those shoulders down and back. Put a soft bend in your knees. Take the weight. One head in each hand. We go in three, two. Let's go. Right knee, left shoulder, right knee, left shoulder. Nice. Toes stay facing me. Toes are square to me. Using those hips to drive that weight forward, crossing that midline. Core obliques. It's all turned on right here. Nice. We have four standing moves, and then we're going to hit the mat. Yes. Four standing moves, then we hit the mat. Come on. You got it. Inhale down. Exhale, chop. Inhale down. Exhale, chop. Let's go. What would it look like if I said 10 more seconds here? 10 more seconds. Yes, you can. Let's go. 5, 4, 3, 3, 2, and 1. Nice work, team. Awesome job. Dumbbell's going to go into my right hand this time. Right toes face to you. Left toes face that sidewall. Left hand is going to glide down my inner left thigh. Right hand is going to be overhead. Right shoulder, wrist all stacked on top of each other. We go in three, two. Let's go. Probably one of my favorite true targeting the oblique exercises is this move right here. I love a good windmill, and I definitely feel it in my obliques. Right? We're hitting right obliques right here. Standing me up. Cinching through those right obliques. Hinge, hinge, hinge. Get a nice little stretch for those hips, too. Immobility. Yeah, yeah. Hello, mobility. Taking those muscles and joints through a full range of motion with load. That's mobility, right? Flexibility, lengthening, mobility. Taking the joint through a full range of motion with load right there. 10 seconds. You're under it. Come on. 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1. That was challenging, too. Nice work, you guys. We're gonna go body weight for the rest of the moves. Okay, we're gonna hit the deck. You're gonna find a nice forearm plank for me, okay? On my forearm, I'm gonna go outside leg. So let's go left leg, left knee drive, right hip dip, left knee drive, right hip dip. We're gonna hit both obliques. We go in three, two. Let's go. So it's left, then right, left then right, left knee drive, right hip dip. Rachel's just gonna keep that knee on the ground. On the right. Right. Way to level up. You could always take this up to an incline. Placing your forearms on a chair, a bench, something to support you. One knee drive, one hip dip. One knee drive, one hip dip. There it is. Hello, obliques. You feel them, right? Whoa. Holy bananas, there they are. Holy bananas, there they are. Come on. Five, four, three, two, and you're out. Whoa. You know, right from that into a side plank. Should have brought my sweat towel. My forearms are sweaty. Gonna roll over. Right arm on the ground, right elbow, shoulder stacked over right elbow. Let's find a side plank. You can stack the feet, you can scissor the feet. You can put a knee down. We're holding it in three, two. Let's go to 42nd hold. Right here. You're just holding. Holding. Side plank isometric, right? Right here, we're hitting this oblique, right? Keeping those hips lifted off the mat as high as you can. Nice work. Option. You can always drop down to that inside knee. Outside leg can come up, and we can crunch. That's a double whammy, right? We're going to hit this oblique, and we're going to hit this oblique. Let's go for it. Let's go for it. Nice work. You can option to hold your plan, right. Hold that side plank option right here. Crunches nice. We'll give you a little variety today. There you go. Crunch it. Let's go. Let's go. Saying it right here. Final five. Four, three, two, and one. Nice work. We're gonna roll that forearm plank over. We're gonna do the same thing. Other side, but this time I'm gonna pull. Okay. Forearm plank, right knee pulls in. Left hip dip. So it's pull on the right, dip on the left, pull on the right, dip on the left. I'm not going there until I have to. Yes. You got five more seconds. Soak it up. Nice work. Find that plank. You're on in three. In two, let's go. Pull on the right, dip on the left. So we're hitting both obliques. Pull and dip. There it is. Pull. This is a New move for nml. A new move we love incorporating new moves to keep you coming back for more. If you've never done one of our workouts, love to have you back to try a full 30 minutes on the mat with us. Nice work, team. Come on. Pull and dip. Yes. Pull and dip. You got it. Stay with me. Pull and dip. Come on. What would it look like if I said 10 more seconds? So stinking strong. That's what you are. Right here for Five, four, three, two, you're out. Whoa. Holy bananas. That's what we say when the going gets tough. All right, side plank this time. Left forearm on the ground. Okay. Shoulders stacked over form. We're gonna hold the side plank for a, and then we'll drop that knee and go into those crunches. Sound good? Love it. Love the variety, right? Variety. Keep moving. Bite of Life. We own five. Hips up in three, two. Hold that side plank. Option A, hold here. Right hitting this oblique nice and strong and solid right there. Arm can go up. Overhead gaze can follow that. Option A, stay here. Option B, drop to that inside knee. Lift and crunch. Crunch. This way. I'm hitting both obliques, right? I got obliques and hips working down here. Nice. Up top at this oblique right here. Yes. Come on, crunch through it. Come on. Yes, you can. Let's go, team. This is move 8 of 10. 8 of 10. You're so close. So close, team. 10 more seconds here. 10 more seconds. Yes, you can. Come on. Right here. Let's go, team. Let's go. Stay with me. Nice work. Final three, two and one. Nice work. All right, you guys. This time you're only gonna go. We're gonna go bicycle crunches on your backside. Bicycle crunches on your back side. Here we go. On your backside. Bicycle crunches. Bicycle crunches. We go in five. Here we go. Hands behind the head. In three, two. Let's go. Crunch and crunch. Now you don't have to rip through these. Rachel's got a modification. Shortening the lever as the legs extend away from the body. Gets harder right? Closer those legs come in to the body, tapping the toes. Knees closer equals easier. Knees farther equals harder. Crunch and crunch. Nice work. Crunch and crunch. Knee to elbow, oblique to oblique. You're getting them both right here. You got this, team. Stay with me. Nice work. Come on. Ten more seconds. Ten more seconds. Go. Ten. Nine. Eight. You got this. Seven. Stay with it. Six. Five. Four. Three. Two. And one. The mother of all moves, the oblique crunch. It's a challenging one. We're gonna hit each side for 20 seconds. So you're gonna go 20 seconds on this side, and then you're gonna take a 10 second break and flip it over 20 seconds other side. Because it's a challenging one. Yes. We're just gonna do 20 seconds per side. This is move 10. This is it. Hand behind the head. Oblique V up in three, two. Let's go. So up, lower. Lift and lower. You can always bend the knees. The shorter the lever, the easier it is. Let's go. Nice work, team. Boom. Right there. Come on. 10 more seconds on this side. Flipping up and over in 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1. Flip it up and over. Right into it. This is your finisher. This is it. You go in three, two, two. Let's go. 20 seconds here. Boom. Up. Come on. I'd say this is like the mother of all the oblique moves, right? It's a challenging one. You only got to do each side for 20 seconds. Finish it right here. Lift. Let's go. Final five, four, three, two, and one. There it is. Ten minutes on the mat. Obliques. That was awesome. You guys cracked. Crushed it. We'd love to see you back on the mat. For more workouts@nourishmovelove.com have a great day. Awesome work crushing that oblique workout.
