In this instructional video, Lindsey Baumgren of Nourish Move Love demonstrates three freezer‑friendly, make‑ahead snack recipes—Cashew Butter Bites, Sweet Potato Muffins, and Kale Smoothie Packs (which can also be turned into smoothie pops). For each snack she explains the ingredient composition, step‑by‑step preparation, and optimal storage methods (glass containers, Ziploc or reusable freezer bags, parchment paper, aluminum foil) to prevent freezer burn. She notes that all snacks can be kept in the freezer for up to three months, and describes how to thaw or use them directly from frozen (e.g., eating the bites frozen, thawing muffins in the fridge, blending smoothie packs straight from the freezer). Throughout, she frames the snacks as convenient, nutritious options for busy parents, highlighting benefits such as supporting milk supply during maternity leave and appealing to toddlers. The video concludes with a call‑to‑action to access full recipes via a linked blog post.

Hi, I'm Lindsey Baumgren of Nourish Move Love, and today I'm sharing healthy meal prep snack ideas to make and freeze. You can make all these ahead of time, throw them in the freezer so you have grab and go snacks on hand. Three of my family favorites include Cashew Butter Bites, Sweet Potato Muffins, and Make Ahead Smoothie Packs and Smoothie Pops. So let's show you how we make them and freeze them. All right, let's talk about these. Cash. Cashew Butter Bites, my personal favorite snack to have on hand for my son and I, especially during maternity leave, because they're great for mama's milk supply as well. So basically, we have our little Cashew Butter Bites here. It's just oats, date cashew butter, and sea salt. And then I put chocolate chips in about half of them. And I don't in some because I like a variety. And how I'm going to pack them for the freezer is basically option A is to put them into a Ziploc freezer bag or a reusable freezer bag right here, so you can just pop them in here. Makes for real easy storage. Today I'm actually going to use a glass container. So what I'm going to do is I'm just going to pop all these balls along the bottom right here. And then I'm going to use a layer of parchment paper in between so the balls don't stick to each other when they freeze. And then I'll top it with some more. And you just fill up your glass container until you have all your balls in there and you put on a nice airtight lid that's gonna seal it up. You're gonna pop these bad boys in the freezer for up to three months. And I personally just grab them right out of the freezer and I'll enjoy one because I like them frozen. But if you don't, you can always just pop them in the fridge. Keep them in the fridge, let them thaw there and enjoy them straight from the fridge. These are my favorite snack, and I hope you love them as much as I do. And here we have sweet potato muffins. I always make half a batch with chocolate ch and half without. Either way, they're gonna freeze the exact same. But what's really important here is that I removed the muffins from the muffin tin and put them onto a cooling rack to cool. You want your muffins completely cool before you prep them for storage in the freezer. So how we do that is I'M going to take a couple muffins. We'll start with our chocolate chip ones and place them in aluminum foil. This is going to prevent freezer burn. And I'm just gonna package them up here nice and tight because no one wants freezer burned muffins. And from here I can take these wrapped muffins and either place them into a glass lock storage container and store them with the lid on sealed tightly. But because I have a small freezer, I usually tend to err on the side of using a Ziploc bag. So I simply take the Ziploc bag, stick them in there, seal it tight, and I can store my sweet potato muffins in the freezer for up to three months. And when I'm ready to take them out, I simply take them out, pop them in the fridge overnight to thaw, and you have sweet potato muffins as an easy grab and go snack that parents and kids will both love. And finally, we have kale smoothie packs. And also I'm going to show you how you can make them into smoothie popsicles. So this is basically taking a smoothie and putting it into a bag with all the ingredients so it's make ahead and ready to go. All you have to do is grab this bag out of the freezer, throw it in your blender, add your milk or your liquid of choice, which could also be coconut water in this case. And then if you want to add a protein powder or anything else you want to add to your smoothie, blend it up and you're ready to go. So in my pack I have kale, a little bit of pineapple, and a little bit of mango and some coconut butter. I'm going to literally take this smoothie pack, throw it in the freezer for up to three months. You can use a reusable silicone bag like I have here, or just a good old standard plastic Ziploc bag like we have here. So you put all your ingredients in, you're gonna toss these in the freezer. When you're ready to make, you grab it straight from the freezer, don't let it thaw, and just pour it straight into your blender. Add your liquid, any protein powders or anything else, and you're ready to go. And then anytime I have extra smoothie, I always, always put it into these beautiful little popsicle molds that my 2 year old toddler loves for a smoothie pop. So that's how you can make make ahead meal prep smoothie packs and smoothie pop and these are three of my favorite snacks you can make ahead of time and pop in the freezer. I hope you love them as much as I do. Get all the recipes for these snacks right below this video in the blog post. Enjoy.
