Hi, I'm Lindsey Baumgren and today I'm leading you through a 30 minute bodyweight barre class. You can do this class entirely at home using just your body weight. There's no barre, no dance experience, no equipment. Just you and some good pulsing plies, lunges, squats. We're gonna hit the arms, we're gonna hit it all using barre exercises. We'll be doing some traditional barre exercises and pairing on some larger full range muscle movements to increase your heart rate. So think of it more of an athletic barre class at home. Okay? We'll have some strength and option for car intervals. Make it high impact or low impact. It's your workout, you get to decide. We're going to get ourselves started with a warm up and jump right into our 30 minute barre class. Join me. Okay, we're going to start right here. Shoulders stacked over feet. Just give me a nice shoulders down and back. Arms come at the side. Opposite hand, opposite knee. So lift and lift. Right knee, left hand, left hand, right knee. There you go, pulling those core in nice and tight. Low abs turned on with each knee lift. Just lifting up right here, trying to engage that pelvic floor and core the entire workout. You got 8, 7, 6, 5. Step wide in 4, 3, 2 and 1. Go ahead, step nice and wide. You're going to go heels in, toes out. Second position, plie, squat. You're going to take it down and up, Inhale, down, exhale, reach. Inhale, down, exhale, reach. Give me some big long arms. Inhale and exhale. Sweep, inhale and exhale. There you go. Down and up. Knees go down towards the pinky. Toes pushing out away from the body, pulling those inner thighs together as I stand tall. Right here you have 4, 9, 3. You're going to hold it low in 2 and 1. You're going to slide that back down a wall. So pretend a wall's behind me. Tuck the tailbone towards me. Hold this nice spot right here. Tiny pulses. 8, 7, 6. You got it. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Pop the right heel, then the left heel. Pop the heel and the heel warm up the calf and ankle. You always have the option to go onto your toes or what we call releve. That's gonna increase the intensity of each exercise. You have 4, 3, 2 and 1. Stand tall. Give me a nice forward fold. Nice. Just shake it all, let it all hang heavy down towards the mat. Right here. You're gonna drop the hips tight. Take it down and pop, Drop and pop. Nice. You have three. You're gonna hold low in two. Last one. Hold it here. Push side to side. Hit those inner thighs. You can keep your hands connected to the mat if that feels good for you. If it doesn't, don't worry about it. Push side to side right here for four. Three, two. Let's hold it over to the right side. Just sink down nice and low. You can pop that left heel off the ground. Just sitting in here. Get this nice inner thigh stretch. That feels really good, right? And now you're gonna walk your hands over. Frame that front foot right here. Rise up. Find the crescent lunge. Nice. Pull that core and tight, tiny pulses here. Open up this hip flexor for four. 3, 2, 1. Let's go full range. Squat down and lift. Down and lift. Give me that full lunge. Take it down and lift. Inhale, down, exhale. Lift. Adding those arms. They sweep nice and big. Bigger the arms. Higher that heart rate. Get. You have three, two, and one. Step back to lunge. Rotate. Find that plie. Pulse it down for four. Three, two, one. Forward fold. One more time. Let it all hang heavy. And this time, push over to the left side. That right heel can pop off the mat. Sitting nice and deep into these inner thighs. Stretch it out. Good range of motion here. We're going to walk over. Frame that front foot. Find that low lunge position. Rise up. Tiny pulses down, opening up this hip flexor. Pulse it here for four. Three, two. Full range lunge. Take it down and up. Sweep the arms down and up, driving through that front heel to stand you tall. Down and up. Nice big inhale and exhale. Starting to warm up those legs for three. You got it. Two and one. Step back. Rotate. Open. Find that plie squat right here. Pulse it low, pulse it low. Back to those big sweeps. Take it down and up. Inhale and exhale. All the way down, all the way up. You got it? Nice. Give me four. Three, two, and one. Nice work. We're gonna move on and get into a plank series. Still gonna be warming up our bodies, but we're progressively gonna move on, activating the core. So we're gonna start series, starting with walkouts. So how that works is I hinge forward, okay? Stretching through these hamstrings. And then I'm going to walk out and find a high plank. Walk out, find your high plank position. Hold here. Walk it back in. Tap the toes. Stand up tall. Just a couple walkouts right here. This is going to stretch through the posterior. Chain my hamstrings, my glutes, my low back. Warming up my core and shoulders on that walkout. Nice. Take it all the way down. Walk it out. Find that high plank. Walk it back in. You have two more walkouts here. Your pace, your tempo, all the way down. Walk it out. Find that high plank. Nice. Walk it back in. On this last one, you're going to hold your high plank, okay? Take it down, walk out. Find that high plank. Shoulders stay stacked over wrist. Core stays nice and tight. Pull up on those kneecaps. Push back on your heels. Distribute the weight between all ten fingers. Hips are square to the ground. Hold here for 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1. Push back down. Dog. That should feel really good. Press the chest towards the thighs. Pedal out the heels. Pedal it out for 4, 3, 2, and 1. Hold here. Settle in. You're gonna send the right toes long. Send it long. Keep the hips square to the mat. Pulse those right toes up. Squeeze the glutes and hamstrings. 8, 7, 6, 5. Moving on in 4, 3, 2, and 1. You're going to pull right knee to left elbow. And then shoot it straight back. Pull right knee, left elbow. Shoot it straight back. Exhale, pull, inhale, push back. Exhale, pull. Can you make that knee to elbow connection? That is what you are striving for, that knee to elbow connection. Feeling your core fire, slow and controlled. There it is. Nice. Two more right here. You're gonna hold that knee to elbow right here on this last one. Hold that knee to elbow. Windshield wiper. Knee to elbow. Swim. Sweep it. Sweep it. The windshield wipers go side to side for 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1. Push back down. Dog. Oh, that feels good. Shift forward. Find a high plank. Hold here. Just hold that plank for 10. 9. You get a drop to tabletop in 8, 7, 6. Hang with it. 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1. Let's do a quick child's pose. Big toes touch. Just push back. Open up the hips. You put your forehead to the mat. That feels really good. Nice work, you guys. That's a challenging plank sequence. Walk yourself up to tabletop. We're gonna hit the other side. Don't worry. First, find tabletop. Shoulders stacked over wrists, hips over knees. Okay, right here, from my tabletop position, I'm gonna do a fire hydrant kick. So I'm gonna kick my heel to you. It looks like this. Stamp and down. Stamp and down. Join me when you're ready. Just kicking your heel to me. Hitting those outer glutes. Gonna do a little glute work here. Little glute activation. Right. Working from a tabletop position. Nice. Push it. You can always Drop down to one forearm if that feels better for you. Okay. Your wrists are a little bit sore. You could always take this down to one forearm. Kick it out. Nice. You have five, four. Hold that leg long in three. You got it. Two and one. Hold it here. Point the toe and sweep it back around. Hold it here, toe pointed. Draw tiny circles right here. Draw a circle, like a donut sized circle, straight back. Trying to keep the hips square to the ground, drawing tiny circles. Feeling the glutes activate and fire of both the stabilizing knee that's on the ground as well as the leg that is circling. Circle for four. Three. Switch directions in two and one. Circles other way. Circles other direction. Other direction. You got it. Oh, that booty burns. Right? You feel it? Keep that leg kick straight behind you and draw those tiny circles. You have four. Three. Keep that core pulled in two and one. From here it is a curtsy. So tap behind you. Kick to the side. Tap behind, kick to the side. Glutes are on fire. I feel it. I know you do, too. Tap and lift. Tap and lift. Nice work. Tap and lift right here. Come on. It's five, four. You got it. Give me three, two and one. Nice work. Shake it out. You can sit those hips back. Push side and side. That should feel really good. Push into those glutes. Right. Awesome job. All right, two beautiful legs. We're going to do other side, so find a down dog for me. Push up and back. Just pedal it out again. This time you're going to send the left toes, long hip stick square to the ground. Pulse those left toes up. Pulse. 8, 7, 6. Knee to elbow in 4, 3, 2, 1. Left knee, right elbow and kick it back. Exhale, pull, inhale, push back, exhale, pull. Making a nice straight long line with your body as you push back and then pulling in, squeezing through the core again. Striving to make that knee to elbow connection as you pull in and feel that core activate. You got it. Give me three more right here. Come on. Three. You're gonna hold that knee to elbow. And two. Back to windshield wipers. Last one. Hold here, windshield wiper. We go side to side for eight. Seven, six. You got it. Five, four, six. Three, two and one. Step back. Push back down dog. I'm going to switch around so I can face you guys while I give you my fire hydrant. Kicks. Find that tabletop. Shoulders over wrist, hips over knees. Kicking your heel right to me. Right here. Kick to the side. Push it. Nice kick kicking through this outer glute. Outer glute. Drive your heel right to knee. Stamp it up. You should feel the obliques. That's your side abs. Those are going to fire as well. Again, it's more comfortable. You can always take it down to one forearm if that feels better for you. I know. Wrists can get sore. We're holding plank for a little bit here. You guys are so strong. All right, four more. You have four. Three. Hold that kick in two and one. Point the toe. Sweep the leg to the back. Hold it here. Draw tiny circles. Draw tiny circles, tiny donut sized circles with that big toe. Draw them and draw them. Feel the glutes and hamstrings right there. You're going to feel this in that leg. That is on the ground as well. That outer glute is working to stabilize your hips. Keep those hips square to the ground. Keep that core pulled in tight for four. Three. Switch directions in two and one. Circle. Other way. Circle, circle. Now, you could always make this more challenging. You could add some ankle weights if you have them. That would make this really fiery. But using just my body weight, let me tell you, I am feeling that burn for 4, 3, 2 and 1. Curtsy kick. Tap behind, kick to the side. Tap and kick. That's where we finish. Right here. You get to sit back into that child's pose. Yes, you do it. 8. You got it. 7. Stay with it. 6. You're so strong. Come on. 5. Woo. 4. And 3. And 2 and 1. Push back.
