It's going to be a really feel good workout. We're really going to open up these hips. I wrote this workout yesterday as my sick baby was sitting on top of me and I was sitting all day. I did not get my 8,000 steps in yesterday. But we're really going to open up your hips. My hips are so tight. So here we go. All right. All you're going to need, we have anywhere from 5 to 10 pound dumbbells. You can use whatever you want. If you want to go heavier, go heavier. We have to give a shout out to Ann who commented on our last live workout, who has been with us since 2020 and she went from 5 pound dumbbells to 12 pound dumbbells, everybody. Way to go. Ann and Anne, I expect you to do this entire pilates strength workout with 12 pound dumbbells. I'm just kidding. We're gonna go a little bit lighter. Lighter weights today, higher reps so you go heavier on your strength days. We're gonna go a little lighter on these potty bar days. All right. And you can have a booty band near you. It's going to add some intensity and some fire. If you have one, grab this bad boy. You ready? Rach, let's go. We're gonna get warmed up. We got 30 minutes together. We're just flowing from move to move. So just go ahead and follow along with us. I'm actually gonna add my booty band right here into my warm up. If you have a towel, go ahead, grab it or booty band whatever you have. We're just gonna warm up with it so Feet are stacked underneath my shoulders. Big inhale, reach up. I'm stretching that band. There's tension on this band right here. We're going to reach over to the right side. Body stretch, come back to center. Give me a calf raise. Up some toes, Roll it to the heels in barre. We call that releve. Up and over to the left. Back to center. Let's do another calf raise. Up. Nice. Let's do it again to the right. Big stretch up. Calf raise to the left. Nice. We're going to go again, but this time, if you feel good about it, we're going to go all the way down and around. So take it to the right. If you feel good, go all the way down, around. Big sweep. Big spinal rot. Calf raise to the left. Big sweep, big rotation. Nice. One more each way. Calf raise. Let's go to the right. Big sweep down and around. Nice. Calf raise. We were just joking before this started. Yep. And calf raise. Go ahead. And you're just gonna go knee to band. Knee to band. Lift those knees up. And we're like, welcome to Pilates strength. That's just so not me, you guys. And so you know, if you've done any of my bar Pilates workout, they're very non traditional, right? They're gonna be big athletic movements in this. Okay? So it's like we should do like a welcome to my Pilates strength workout. And then we show you, like, doing burpees. There might be burpees. I don't know. Go for 3, 2, and 1. Nice. Let's hold that right knee up and go ahead. Just give that right knee a nice little squeeze. And then can you balance and open. Nice. Open those hips like I said. We're gonna open those hips today. Set it down. Switch it out. Let's go. Left knee up. New balance and open those hips. That feels really good. Right? Nice. I'm gonna take this band. I'm step into a nice wide pa. Heels in, toes out. Take this band behind my back, give myself. I'm gonna hook my thumbs into a nice chest expansion. We're gonna stay in this chest expansion as we go. Down two, up two. Take it down two. Up two. Put tension on the band. Nice. Think about tailbone talking to me. It's like you're gliding your back down a wall. Nice work. Down two, up two. Nice work. Down two. Up two. More. Two more. Down two. Now, when you come up, don't go all the way up. Keep constant tension on those legs. Nice. Last one. Take it low and hold. Hold it. Here Lift right heel, then left. Heel right, then left. Go for 8, 7, 6. You got it. 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1. Stand up and take a nice old. Let those elbows or those hands hold me. Release your hands from the end. Take a nice wide leg forward. Fold. Shake, shake, shake, shake, shake. Walk it in. Let's go. We're gonna go left leg or right leg? Left leg forward, right leg back. This is my challenging side from this lunge position, but a nice, low isometric lunge hold. Tuck that tailbone towards me. Take those arms, reach overhead. Give a nice little side body and back. Hold it here. Just tiny pulses down in this lunge pulse 8, 7, 6. You're gonna slam that band to that knee. Knee drives in 4, 3, 2, 1. Transfer the weight to the front leg. Get low, get low and slam it. Slam it, slam it. Go for 8, 7, 6. You got it. 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1. Switch it out. Right leg forward, left leg back. Tuck that tailbone towards me. Arms go overhead. Tiny pulses down. Pulse pulse 8, 7, 6. Transfer to that front leg and slam it in 3, 2. Let's go. Slam and slam it. Go. Drive, drive. How low can you get in that standing leg for? 8, 7, 6. You got it. 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1. Nice work. Go. Take your hands in the band. Palms are going to face up. Elbows are at your side. Tight. This band is too tight. Rotate it up. You're supposed to pull it apart. Just go open and close. Grab your weights. I was like, you know, your booty band's too tired. Supposed to do that with band. Here we go. Let's open and close. We're going to warm up those rotator cuffs. Nice work. Open and close right here. Go. 4. You got it. Go. 3. Nice work. Go. 2 and 1. Nice work. Take it down. All right, if you have that foot band, it's going to go six inches above your knee. We're going to get right in. We're going into a plank sequence. If you've done some of my bar qualities before, you know I love starting off with a good, good plank sequence. I'm gonna grab my foam pad for my big knee next to me. I'm still recovering from my knee surgery, so kneeling on the mat is not as most comfortable. Okay, here we go. You go. Plank walkout. Push up, cobra looks like this. Hands forward, walk out, find that high plank. Give me a push up or lower all the way down into a nice little gentle mini cobra lift. Tuck the toes, push yourself back up. Walk it in. Rachel's got a nice Modification for you. Take it down, walk it up, Give me a push up. All the way down. Little baby cobra. Open up that back. Tuck the toes, Push the butt back up. Walk it in all the way up. Just laughing. You guys, you cannot control life. You cannot control life today, okay? You just can't. The guy was not supposed to be here. Doing better. Stay. But it is. And it's just life. It is what it is. We have been talking about this at Team nml. It has just been a week. I've had sick kids. I got my birthday party. Work is just bananas right now. Life is just take a deep breath and do the next right thing, which is this right here. Hold that foot. Plank. Hold that plank. Nice homework, you guys. Quadruped position here. Hips over knees, shoulders over wrists. We're gonna do a hip rotation with the band on. So right knee is gonna draw a big hip circle. Back. And now reverse it. Reverse your hip circle. Next, adding this band is a great way to increase intensity. So it's nice hip, big hips. Think about drawing a nice circle with your knee and then reversing it. Working on strength and mobility in this movement right here. Guess that we're going to do a lot of hips today. Can you tell? Just for my sake, Selfishly. But it's going to be good for all of us. Open. Strengthen those glutes and hips. Ankles. You're going to need one more. One more. Here we go. Open. Nice. And reverse it. Nice. Now come into this position.
