Four strength moves for runners: single-leg deadlifts for glutes and balance, heel-drop calf raises for calf activation, single-leg glute bridges for hip stability, and a core exercise targeting outer glutes.
These are four of my favorite exercises for runners. Kicking it off with the single leg deadlift. Great for strengthening your glutes and hammies, which power your running stride. Doing it single leg, even better to challenge your balance, stability and coordination, which this heel drop calf raise is also going to do. And adding the heel drop, so much more intense. Then we have the single leg glute bridge. Again, focus focusing on those glutes and hammies, but really focusing on hip stability here, which is important for runners. And then finishing out with a little bit of core to strengthen the outer glutes, which we hadn't hit yet.
