Hey, good morning TNT friends. It's Bobby, your fitness health coach here. We're actually in our Power Plate workout room here at the office, and today we're going to talk about rest and recovery. Forgive me, I'm wearing my eyeballs today because I have some things to read to you today. But let's just say I finished a big grueling workout here on the Power Plate, and now I want to talk about what we're going to do the next day or 2 days to help, um, book all of that hard work we do on our muscles. So when you work out, you're actually tearing down muscle tissue, and so the job of sleep, recovery, and light exercise is to help that muscle repair itself. Here's some of the benefits of recovery. Number 1, muscle repair. Number 2, reduced injury risk. Number 3, improved performance on, say, the pickleball court or the golf course. Number 4, metabolic health. And so kind of here's a definition that kind of reminds you what recovery is. Effective rest and recovery combine physical, mental, and nutritional strategies to restore energy, repair muscles, and enhance athletic performance along with your daily movement. So here at TNT, we really emphasize kind of a comprehensive program for you to help grow and build good muscle as well as help your systems in your body recover from exercise, movement, and all of that. I'm going to put this down for a second. The Power Plate itself, this happens to be one of the professional models. Many of you with TNT have our Move model, which is in our other studio. But this chart will, will show for relaxation and massage of sore muscles, you can actually sit on this device, put body parts on the Power Plate, and actually do light recovery the day after a pretty rigorous workout. So the Power Plate is not only just for strength building, circulation, lymph drainage, bone density, it's a great recovery tool as well. In addition, you can get a massage gun and have this at home. This one happens to be the Power Plate's version of that. And you can hit— particularly for me, I have like a tight IT band, and I can work sore muscles after a long day of working out. That helps drive circulation and recovery and repair back into the muscle. You can also foam roll, and those of you that have done this before, you, you actually can sit on this and roll certain parts of your body to help do something similar to the massage gun itself.
