Bob's Story

Bob Hoffman in central Florida was gaining weight, exhausted, and bloated until bloodwork revealed prediabetes and insulin resistance. Working with Lori Esarey and the TNT team, he made lifestyle changes that turned it around.
Spring has sprung. It's time to open the windows and enjoy that fresh air. Just as in the north, here in central Florida, spring brings new life to plants and animals. According to a recent survey, 69% of Americans say that the arrival of spring actually puts them in a better mood. Some of the top things people look forward to doing spring spring cleaning, gardening, getting in shape for bathing suit weather, and of course, more golf. But for Bob Hoffman, getting out to enjoy all that Florida has to offer was a struggle. As Bob explains, his overwhelming fatigue and sluggishness was not allowing him to enjoy life in the villages. So he turned to the specialists at Total Nutrition and Therapeutics to find some answers.
I felt that there was something going on within me that I. I didn't know what it was. And I thought I needed professional help. I was lethargic. I had no motivation to get out of the house, to get off the couch or, you know, not having the energy to do things and get out. Basically, I was eating the same amount of food. And yet I saw as I stepped on the scale that my weight was increasing. You know, I gained about 10 pounds. So I knew and I noticed some bloatedness in my belly area and my gut and I said, something's wrong there too. So I couldn't figure it out. I didn't know. Through my chiropractor, he recommended me to Lori Essere and her TNT team here. And that's how it started. Well, if I had never come to tnt, I would have been seeing my healthcare professional and he would have been telling me that your A1C levels are in the normal range. My life would be. I would think that I'm healthy and yet inside of me, without looking in detail at the blood work, you wouldn't know that there was a problem. Yet. It's been shown in my blood work that I'm pre diabetic and I have insulin resistance. And my primary care doctor, he doesn't see those results. He just sees a 1C normal range. Your glucose level is a little high. We should get that down. He wouldn't inspire spark in me to really get moving. And he probably would want to push statins and other medications, which I'm averse to. I have a different outlook now in my life. I want to finish strong and in more ways than one. And one of them is with my health.
