Short video answering whether TNT accepts insurance. Key points: insurance generally does not cover proactive/coaching/educational services offered by TNT (hour-long visits, classes). Insurance may cover diagnostic testing and prescribed supplements depending on policy; HSAs/FSAs may reimburse services because TNT is a medical clinic. The speaker highlights partial opportunities to use insurance for testing/supplements even though core services are typically uninsured.
One of the questions that we often get at TNT is do you take insurance? And I understand where that comes from because many of us are used to using our insurance for everything if we have it. Unfortunately, insurance is just that. It's a policy that you pay for to pay for when you're sick. And this type of care, proactive medical care, unfortunately isn't looked upon as you being sick and therefore you don't qualify for. So insurance will not pay for the services that we provide here at T and T, our coaching and our education, the hour long visits or two hours in the classes that we do. So although insurance doesn't cover the services that we offer, they do cover in many situations, part of the diagnostic testing or all depending on your policy. However, there are some insurance plans, like HSAs or FSAs that will reimburse you for your care. We use those cards because this is considered a medical clinic that provides care. Supplements are also a coverage for those plans because it's being prescribed to you for a deficiency that you have. So it's part of your medical plans. But in many cases, there is a significant amount of opportunity to use your insurance.
