Meet the TNT Team

Lori Esarey founded Total Nutrition and Therapeutics eight years ago as a weight-loss program that grew into nutritional medicine. She lost 60 pounds herself and now runs the practice with Christine and health coach Jamie, who teach clients practical skills like grocery shopping and sustainable lifestyle changes.
TNT is Total Nutrition and Therapeutics. And with our logo, we actually pulled the N being the biggest, because I believe truly that nutrition is fundamentally important to health. And so it was established several years ago, eight years ago, and initially it was just a weight loss program. That's how it all started. It started as a dream basically to be able to help people transform their lives. And it has since grown into something fun, greater than that, which has been amazing for me. Basically. I had a weight problem myself. I grew up in a family of three, two older brothers and I was constantly called the fat word. And my family history is horrific. I mean, genetically speaking. My dad's had maybe three forms of cancer, my mom one, they both have diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol. My dad's had open heart surgery. So bottom line, I didn't want to be that. I worked as a family nurse practitioner for 15 years with the sick. And then I went to school actually for a master's in nutritional medicine, which is very, very different from a nutritionist perspective. It's truly nutritional medicine. It's doing medicine from a nutritional standpoint. And what happens in the transformation that occurs would never, never happen without my team. So first of all, I have Christine, who's worked with me since almost the beginning. You know, she was my son's teacher.
And at that time I was overweight. And she came to me and she said that I have this program that I want to start. Would you be interested in just coming in? And I fell in love with the program. I lost 60 pounds. And after that it's just my journey began.
So now she has the unique ability to be able to mentor and help our clients from the perspective of that was me and now I've changed. And then we have, of course, Jamie, who's recently joined us.
I started to experience symptoms like feeling fatigue, foggy headed and had a hard time making decisions, weight gain, AC and I finally decided that I needed to fix this. I wanted to feel good. So I started to learn how to eat right and I went through the proper testing, found out what deficiencies I had and then I started to apply those and it just turned my life around. I really think that it saved my life and with that it created a ripple effect and helped my family. So it actually turned my whole family's lifestyle around.
Jamie is a health coach. Her job description is make this applicable. How do I do this?
A health coach is a guide on.
Your side for your wild ride, whatever.
Your needs are, whether it's eating healthy or just wanting to live healthy. And prepare for a healthy lifestyle. There's no finish line. It's a lifestyle. So they need to know how to shop for their new changes.
It's amazing what she can do with the patients. The patients love her. The fact that she takes them on a grocery shopping experience. And the patients, when they come in, they're like, you're gonna teach me how to shop. So, I mean, there's times that she's over in the store for an hour, and the patients will come back and they're like, oh, my gosh, I learned so much.
It's important for patients to know that all three of us have experienced these changes. It's nice for the patients to see that they're not alone and that these changes can happen.
The ideal candidate for total nutrition and therapeutics is anyone who honestly wants to live a more fulfilling and vital life. But my pass truly is driven by change. You know, my vision and purpose in life has always been to be able to help people achieve things in their life that they never thought were possible. And every day, I get to show them how things are possible.
