TNT's How

Short monologue from T&T Clinic describing their client-centered care philosophy. Emphasizes careful intake and fit, listening and diagnostic testing, and a multidisciplinary team (mindset, life, and health coaching) focused on teaching, accountability, and sustained behavioral change rather than only diagnosing illness.
T and T success and client outcome, I feel is attributed to how we do what we do. T&T's how starts with the first time a client or prospective client calls us. We have to first make sure that we're a good fit for what they're looking for and that the right clients are coming in and they're not wasting their time and money and neither are we. And once you find the right client who's seeking change, the how starts with the first appointment. And the how is listening. It's understanding their background. It's taking the time to listen to their past medical history, what they've encountered, what are they looking to change from there. It's diagnostic testing, it's what is going on underneath. The blood doesn't lie, it tells a story. And that story plays out as we get those diagnostic test results in. At that point it becomes the whole team approach. It's all hands on deck around here from mindset coaching, it's life coaching, it's health coaching, taking them to the store, showing them how to cook, if that's what they need. We want you to be better. And be better takes a lot more commitment. It takes time, it takes education, it takes you understanding why you're doing what you're doing. Accountability is key. You cannot make improvements in something that you're not measuring. To manage something, you have to measure it. So it starts with a conversation with lab work for them to understand where they're at and then a conversation of where do you want to go? What differentiates T and T from other functional integrative medicine practices is how we do what we do. Many of them focus on specifically what a person needs to change. But if you don't teach an individual how to change, you haven't created long term success and they're not going to. So accountability, teaching, mentoring, education are keys to change. Our Clinic really focuses 80% of our attention on creating the change necessary, not just re instilling in them you're sick because they already know that. They need to know how to be well. And focusing on the how to be well is not easy, but it can be done.
