A brief monologue from TNT clinic describing its diverse care team, training (functional, integrative, lifestyle medicine), and philosophy emphasizing root-cause treatment and sustainable lifestyle changes through empathy, education, and long-term behavior change rather than short-term fixes. Speaker references personal credentials in metabolic and anti-aging/restorative medicine to explain approach.
TNT is comprised of a diverse group of team members from all different backgrounds with all different stories. The ability to reach the people we do now and create the change we do now only happens because of the diversity of our clinic. Each of us have overcome different obstacles and we teach in relationship to that. We have licensed mental health counselors, we have social workers and counselors, and we have health coaches, life coaches, mindset coaches, and behind the scenes, a group of wonderful professionals who just want to see people better. My team members need to have the ability to love people and empathize with people. So our training may be functional, integrative or lifestyle medicine. As I have a master's degree in metabolic medicine and I have my board certification in anti aging and restorative medicine. If you practice this type of medicine, you are looking for the root cause and you're creating a treatment plan to get a person to change, if you will, whatever that is. Because functional and integrative medicine will often focus on why they need change. Where lifestyle medicine to me is in the 80% that we do. Teaching a person how to change, teaching them how to cook, teaching them how to shop, and integrating it into their daily lifestyle, making it a long term change, not a short term change. People don't change based on their lab work or a disease state. You have a heart attack, you might be pretty serious about things for six months. You go back, weight loss, same thing. You look in the mirror, you're satisfied once you lose the weight, but is that going to keep you there? It's not looking good, feeling good, but most importantly, functioning better. That's what's going to keep you doing it every day. And that's what we focus on is sustainable life change.
