In this short, Manex Ibar explains why the Sphinx is a powerful symbol across cultures, not limited to Egypt. He describes the Sphinx as a guardian of sacred knowledge that embodies three aspects of consciousness: the animal (instinct), the human (intellect), and the angelic (spiritual). Ibar links this triadic symbolism to the shamanic model of lower, middle, and upper worlds, the Christian Trinity, and the three primary centers in Human Design—the G Center, Ajna, and Personality crystal—suggesting that the Sphinx represents the integration of these layers into a superhuman state.

Why the Sphinx? What does the Sphinx represent? And so the Sphinx is really interesting because a lot of people think it's Egypt, but it's not just Egypt. You have sphinxes everywhere in the world. There's sphinxes that are guardians of sacred knowledge and temples, always. So the Sphinx is the guardian of the sacred, and it also represents in itself all of the mystical aspects of what we're trying to do, which is raise our animal form into our intellect, which is how you go from animal to human, into our superhuman with the angel wings. And so it has and it carries all 3 elements of what we're meant to do and what we hold. There is the angelic aspect of us, there's the human aspect, and there's our animal. Yeah, you can also find in the 3 different consciousnesses that we see everywhere. The Trinity, the lower world, middle world, upper world in shamanism. There's always the 3 aspects in Human Design, the 3 crystals. You know, you have the G Center, the Ajna, and then the personality crystal.
