In this YouTube short, Manex Ibar narrates his personal spiritual journey, beginning with deep shamanic initiations that gave him a scientific, experiential approach to spirituality and left him dismissive of tarot as mere "woo‑woo" and a scam. He recounts being sent to a shabby Paris apartment for a psychic reading, where the reader initially scolds him, then bows and claims he has a profound role in the creation of tarot. Despite the odd start, she pulls three tarot decks, delivers an unusually detailed reading about his life, and predicts that he will miss his train and even describes events that will occur on the train. The prediction comes true, prompting Ibar to reconsider his skepticism and acknowledge a newfound respect for tarot’s potential spiritual power.

spiritual quest. The tarot was the thing that I thought was probably the least spiritual. It was definitely the most woo-woo, and it was kind of like your psychic, you know, neon sign in New York or in every city. They have their tarot decks and they're scammers. So I had no interest in the tarot. I went through deep shamanic initiations. Everything was very experiential, physical. I needed to have the spiritual be real. That's just my scientific background that really wanted that. So the tarot for me was this kind of woo-woo stuff until I saw a psychic in Paris in this really shabby little apartment. I was really late on top of it to the meeting. And when I got there, she first of all kind of scolded me for being late and wasting her time and all this. And then she bowed down and got on her knees and bowed to me, then said, no, stupid, it's not for you. It's for your spirit. 'Cause you have a very deep, important role in the creation of the tarot. And I looked at her and I was like, great, this is not a good beginning. So I sat down and I was about to kill my friend for sending me here. And then she pulled out 3 decks of tarot and just started pulling cards for me. And then started telling me all about my life, incredibly detailed. And so I started listening a little bit more and a little bit more, up to the point where she's like, well, you should probably leave right now because you're about You're gonna miss your train. And I was like, wait, what? No, I'm not missing my train. Sure enough, I missed my train, and then she told me what was gonna happen in the train, which it did.
