In this YouTube Shorts dialogue, Manex Ibar critiques the popular "manifest your reality" mindset, labeling it as a form of modern witchcraft that creates suffering when desires aren't instantly fulfilled. He contrasts this with an approach rooted in acceptance of destiny and the Tao, emphasizing that going with the flow and embracing both light and dark aspects of experience brings genuine joy. The conversation highlights the tension between a control‑driven, want‑everything‑now attitude and a more ancient, contemplative practice of accepting what each moment presents, even its darker facets.

I think that's one of the things that drives me the most crazy in today's spirituality where you're supposed to manifest your reality and because you think it and then you can make it happen. It's literally witchcraft. It really gives you this beautiful way of accepting what destiny is bringing to you in each moment rather than wanting something that you're not meant to have in that moment, which is where the witchcraft comes in. And it's also misery,
you
know, because when you're not getting what you want at that moment, you go into sufferance.
Yeah.
Versus the acceptance of the moment, which actually brings you the joy. And then the control freak of, I want to, I want, I want this, I want that now, here, this and that, versus like, this is what I have, this is what is presented.
Yeah.
And how do I take that in? How do I bring it in? And I think That is going with the flow, that is going with the Tao, that is accepting the Tao, which is what the ancients were teaching. And here with our map, we can kind of accept those moments, even the dark parts.
Yeah,
I mean, I know a lot of people, they see the light and they're like, how do I get there? And how do I— it's like, well, accept the dark parts. Like, that's also where there's a lot of fun.
And where there's the most liberation, to be honest. Like, it's the— it is the path where It reveals where your intentions can be put and sort of the most work that you do or the most awareness that you have. But I think, I mean, you know me personally, like, I'm a pretty hardline believer that everything is sort of predestined at this point, and that the more that we can embrace our destiny, the more it's also going to allow us to influence the expression that we do have control over, right? Yeah. Whether we force something or resist it or not and go with that flow, like you said.
