In this 30‑minute segment of the 30/30 Career Transformation Challenge, Margaret Spence, founder of the Employee to CEO Project and the 10X Leadership Academy for Women, asks viewers to examine the internal messages that sabotage their career aspirations. She explains that the harsh self‑talk—questions of worth, boldness, readiness, and confidence—constitutes an "inner voice" of self‑doubt that is more damaging than any external criticism. Spence urges participants to identify these limiting narratives, recognize that they are self‑generated, and actively quiet them. She offers practical prompts: step out of the comfort zone, replace self‑doubt with a confident inner self, and take immediate actions that align with one’s desired career path. The video concludes with a motivational challenge to confront and silence the inner voice, reinforcing the broader goal of the 30‑day challenge to reset career trajectories in September rather than waiting for a new year.

So it's day 6 of the 30/30 Career Transformation Challenge. 30 bold questions over the 30 days of September to help you create a new vision for your career. Hi, I'm Margaret Spence, the founder of the Employee to CEO Project and the 10X Leadership Academy for Women. I'm so excited that you're here with me, um, for the 30/30 Challenge and that you're joining me on this daily journey to to, for empowerment and to move your career forward. As I've said on all the other videos, we are not waiting until January 1st to do a reset on our career. We're using September as a pivotal month to change the way we view things, to look at where we are a little bit differently, and to challenge ourselves to think about where we want to go from here. What are our next steps? Where do we want to go? What's next in our career? And so the 30/30 Challenge is here to do that. So today's bold question is, what message are you telling yourself that's derailing your vision and derailing the career that you could have? Here's an interesting view that I have, and it's a personal view. The messages that I tell myself about myself are harsher than anything anybody could say about me. The messages that I tell myself is around, am I good enough? Am I bold enough? Am I brave enough? You know, those are the messages. Who am I to be doing X, Y, and Z? If I'm telling myself those messages, I know that you are telling yourself those messages. So what are you telling yourself that's actually stopping you from moving forward? Are you telling yourself that you're not ready? Are you telling yourself that you lack confidence? Are you telling yourself that you haven't checked all the boxes to move forward? Are you telling yourself that the people that you work for are stopping you from having the career you want? You know what? Here's the reality. Nobody's stopping you from having anything that you want. You are the one stopping you. Let me say that again. The only person stopping you is you. Nobody's stopping you from having what you want. So what are the messages? What are those voices, those gremlins back in the back of your head, those things that are going on every day in your head? What are those things telling you about what you should do next? But better than that, why are you listening to the inner voice instead of finding your own voice? See, the inner voice is not you. The inner voice is self-doubt. It's there to derail you. So what can you do right now to quiet the inner voice and find your inner self? Space of success, that thing that makes you push through even when your confidence isn't there. What can you do right now to stop everything that's derailing you from having what you want? Not just in work, but in life in general. What can you do to stop your inner voice derailers that's stopping you from living the life you want. So I challenge you to step out of your comfort zone and into what you want. Let it go. The inner voice is just there to make you feel that you're not ready, to give you self-doubt. You know what? Go outside and stomp it out and come back in with more confident and ready to do what you need to do. So thank you for joining me on the 30/30 Challenge. There's more videos. Oh my God, I'm going to be recording more. Thank you for coming along the journey with me. See you tomorrow.
