In this Day 28 episode of the 30/30 Career Transformation Challenge, Margaret Spence asks viewers to look outward and identify the people who believe in them and why. She outlines four key categories of supporters—mentors (guides and advisors), sponsors (advocates who open doors), partners (collaborators with no vested interest in the outcome), and champions (constant allies who champion your vision). Spence emphasizes the need to recognize these individuals, step out of comfort zones, request feedback and feed‑forward, and actively engage them to advance one’s career. She also notes that even those who don’t have your back serve a purpose by teaching valuable lessons. The video concludes with a call to continue the challenge and hints at a special upcoming offering.

Day 28 of the 30/30 Career Transformation Challenge. We are almost at the end. I can't believe that we've gone almost 30 days of the Career Transformation Challenge. Hi, my name is Margaret Spence, and I'm the founder of the Employee to CEO Project and the 10X Leadership Academy for Women. At the beginning of this month, I started out to ask you 30 bold questions to help you retool and reset your career goals. I hope that in this process you found a new vigor to manage your career more effectively. Today's question is, who believes in you and why do they believe in you? This is not a looking inward question, This is more of a looking outward question. What I want to ask you to do is to determine the categories of the people who are helping you move forward. In everyone's career, we need mentors. We need people who are going to guide us and who are going to be our guidepost. We need sponsors, people who are going to kick the door down to make sure that our career advances. Okay. We also need people who are our partners in this journey, people who partner with us to fulfill our mission and our vision, people who have no vested out interest in the outcome. They just wanna be there to have your back. They wanna be there to help you be successful, but they are not vested in how the success looks for you. We also need champions. We need champions who are going to be there in our corner all the time, ready to empower us, ready to help us fulfill our vision, ready to go to bat so that we can have the position and the vision for our career and for our life. But here's the deal. You have to recognize who these people are. You have to be willing to come out of your comfort zone and approach them to help you. You have to be willing to go to them and ask for feedback. Feedback and feed forward. If this is a skill that I want, what do you think I should be doing to get that skill? Or where do you see me having deficiencies, and what would you do if you were me to correct them? So the question is, who's in your corner? Who's there for you? That's not your parents and your girlfriends and your significant other. Who else in your career path occupies the journey of helping you to realize your vision and mission and your purpose in life. It's important that you understand who is there to empower your success. Who is it that has your back and who doesn't have your back? But the people who don't have your back, don't discard them. Because they're there to teach you things about yourself that you may not already know. You see, everyone occupies a role in your life. Everyone. The good, the bad, the indifferent. They all occupy a role. It's up to us to learn the lesson that that person is trying to teach us, because people come into your life to challenge you, to teach you, to empower you, and to guide you. It's up to you to figure out who they are. Thank you for joining me for the 30/30 Challenge. We are almost at the end. Please hang with me till the very end because I have something special to share with you. Thank you for joining me.
