I'm either listening to right now, I'm listening to. You guys should listen to this by the way, if you've Never listened to it. This is probably my hundredth time listening to this audiobook. But this is a great audio everyone should listen to by Napoleon Hill. How to raise your own salary. Can you see that? How to raise your own salary. A great, great book. Old school. Beautiful. It's amazing. If you've never heard of it, you should get it and listen to it. What's up, Dylan? What's up? Signed up for the book release. Awesome. Theresa. Thank you.
Paul.
Mike. Massachusetts, Michigan, Cleveland in the house. So I was walking today and this guy, he's out there running. I see him every morning. It's pretty cool. Consistency. That's where opportunity lies. You're the consistent or non existent. This isn't just in life, but in business and everything else, right? So I'm out there walking, this guy passes me and stops. He's like, dude, congratulations man. I see you out here every day, man. Keep up the great work. I know what it takes to be there and just positive. Planting the seed of positivity. I don't know this guy. I've never met him. I've seen him out running and vice versa. He's seen me clearly and he said something positive. Then another guy, Tim, I see all the time with his little 1 year old daughter and 5 year old son, you know, hey man, what's up? Keep up the great work, buddy. Keep moving, you know, so we're using this time to connect. We're using this time to keep moving, we're using this time to stay positive. You got to protect what's between the ears. What's up TK and Philly? What's up, Mike? In Dallas, Fort Worth? So as I'm walking again, I'm not listening to talk radio, I'm not listening to news, I'm not listening to any of this stuff. I'm either talking to people, it's helping me grow, or I'm listening to audio books that are going to help me protect my mind, literally. You have to put. It's never been more important than ever today to put on your blinders of what's going on. Put your blinders on. Focus on the me economy. The me yes, you economy. I'm writing it down so I don't forget to keep saying that because that's what matters. The me economy. Before I get started on another thing here, first of all, last night, if you guys did not see the show, I did last night with Mike Michalowicz from Profit first and fix this next, you got to go check it out. Seriously. He provides great value he has a free website with a lot of amazing free information to help you through this journey. What's up, Rob? On the process of business building during the COVID 19 situation. Not only that and way beyond. This guy's awesome. He's a character. He. You'll love his stuff. So during my walk today, not only did this guy say something cool and nice and get me excited. Makes me feel good, right? It should. It should make you feel good, too, when someone says something nice to you and you start thinking, how do I carry that momentum over into other stuff? So I hit up one of my buddies that's actually living his dream. He's moved into his dream house. He's got his new dream car. His company's building. It's bigger than it's ever been, and it's growing every single month right now. And we're kind of talking, and I pushed this guy pretty hard. I tell him to hire people. He fights it forever, and then he hires him. He's like, what was I thinking? I should have hired him a long time ago. And the conversations we have, if you listen to our conversations 12 months ago to where they're at today, they're totally different. And that's what I want to talk today about. What got you to where you're at today isn't going to get you to where you want to go tomorrow or in the future. You see, your conversations are so important. There's actually a guy on this. I won't call him out. He's a buddy of mine. We were talking recently about a property that I bought in an area and about two months ago, give or take. And the way the money comes in and all that stuff. And I hit him up, hey, man, how's the money looking? Just small talk. Touching base anyway. And it's like, oh, this didn't get paid. This is happening here. This happening. And instead of saying, well, how do we get the money? I say, sell the property. I don't want to talk about it. I don't want to talk about it. Sell it. I don't want to talk about small problems. The problem. What I see. You're right, T.K. right. What I see is people are so busy focused on small problems, trying to create big opportunities, and they don't come together. They don't mix. It's like water and oil. They don't mix. You can't create a big business with small mindset. Or better said, you can't create a big business with small problems. It does not happen. I know. I did this for 11 years, I used to collect the rent. I used to call Home Depot when my project guy, I wouldn't give them my credit card and I wouldn't set up a file at that Home Depot or Lowe's, wherever. And I'd make sure they had to call me because I was micromanaging contractors. They had to call me and I had to approve the IO to get the order out the door. And my first questions were always, hey, Nancy, how you doing? Good. Do they have any energy drinks? Monster energy drinks. And do they have any beef jerky in their bag? Because I'm not paying for it. And oh, by the way, do they have any tools? Because they're only there to pick up material. Only. Well, they have a flashlight, that's $12. They have two bags of beef jerky, $7.50 a piece. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Now I'm fighting about that stuff. Now, my production is not about producing results for what I'm trying to accomplish. I'm fighting the contractor. I'm texting them back. Then it was, I'm sending them a text via a beeper saying, dude, get a life. What is your problem? I'm trying to get this done. Why are you ripping me off? And I was feeding the wrong thing. This is a true story, guys. This is real. Your problem is not that these opportunities don't exist. Your problem is you're not changing. You're not changing your conversations. Sam, 23 years deep in the conversation, I'm not talking about rent collections. I don't do it. I don't need to do it. I'm focused on something way bigger than a thousand a month. Way bigger. How in the world are you going to grow something to millions of dollars a month if you're trying to figure out how to do something for a thousand and you're not even good at that? It just don't work like that. Not only that, in business, if you're a real business owner, you would understand things about ESOPs, UAL, policies for your future self and your family to protect you. You'd understand EBITDA and all that stuff. Probably all these words I just shared with you, you have no clue about. And I'm not trying to make you feel stupid. I'm just trying to have you gain clarity of what kind of conversations you should be having as you develop. Listen, if you've been in the game for five years or less, none of these words matter to you, probably. But if you've been in this game for longer than five years, you should know what everything I just said. EBITDA is earnings before interest, tax, etc. ESOPs, right employees. That's where your employee can actually own your company. There's some cool things as a business owner that you might want to do that with, right? UAL policies, universal life. These are policies to protect your future, your family, your growth. Where you're going. You should be asking yourself, how do I? Here's the thing is asking yourself question, how do I park 300 grand a year into a UAL policy? Mark, I'm just trying to figure out how to make 100 grand a year. That's my point. That's my point. See, when you ask different questions, you get different answers. You start seeing different problems. You start realizing your problems are not real problems. You're creating the problem. I see this every day, everywhere. You don't understand, man. My problem. Oh, I get it. Your problem. Self inflicted. That's your problem. Because the common denominator in all your problems are you. Every single one of them. It's you. So if you're not changing up your thought processes and you're not changing up your goals and your conversations with different people, you have to evolve, you have to grow. I know we talk about like how scary it is to outgrow your friends, but you're going to outgrow your friends. If you're trying to pursue something bigger, how couldn't you outgrow your friends? You're outgrowing yourself, for God's sakes. So why wouldn't your friends be a part of that outgrowing process? It's okay, you don't have to, you don't have to leave them forever. You just have to hit them up and say, hey, John, buddy. Oh pal, dude, I'm growing so big. I had so many things going on, man, you know, Sundays for football, done. This year I'm focusing on building my business. It's funny, people always ask me, mark, what do you do for fun? I love building businesses. I love building and understanding how to grow my financial future. Yesterday I had a great call with my financial advisor. These are my fiduciary actually. And I'm talking to him about how when I turn 60 years old, how do I get 50 or $100,000 a month coming into my account without me working not just for me, but to protect my kids, to protect my wife, to protect my goals, you know, to build for the future. I'm not sitting here over here today trying to figure out how to make 100 bucks today at All I'm not even trying to figure out how to make a million bucks today. I'm trying to figure out how to build a future, build a business that provides for me, not me. Provide for the business. See, when are you going to stop working to work? When are you going to start working intentionally and on purpose? Anybody, anybody can wake up and work. Not most will, but anybody can do it. Now the question is, how am I able to get more done than you and vice versa? Or we could look at, you know, look at what's his name that owns Amazon, Bezos. How's he able to accomplish so much financially and more importantly, impact the world with what he's doing? Like him or not, he's making big moves. He's doing big stuff. He's not doing this all on his own. And I promise you, his problems, your problems, he doesn't even know exist. You know what I mean? They don't matter because he's focused on so many bigger things. I don't have 10,000 or $100,000 problems at this point in my life. My problems are millions of dollars of problems. See, I see a lot of people out there, dude. I need to get leads for like 12 cents a piece or then they hook you in. Get leads for free. Well, why do you want leads for free? You understand that's. That doesn't even make sense in business. In real business, it makes zero sense. Zilch. Because there's zero scale with free. Zero offer free. Don't try to get for free. Do you understand? So I'll share some real stuff with you guys. And by the way, tomorrow, my book is not free. It's 15 bucks and it's the best. $15. You'll spend all of 20. 20. I could assure you that. But. And if $15 is too much, you should probably stop following me because I can't help you. Because clearly you can't help yourself. You know what I mean? Like $15. Mark, do you have audio? No, not yet. They'll be out in three months or so. Right, but anyways, I digress. You realize as you're developing, you have to change. You have to develop yourself. You have to grow your mindset. So what happens, like where I was going with that is you see a lot of people say, hey, get a free book. All I ask is you to pay shipping. Well, that's a great deal. Do you understand the metrics to that model, by the way? The metrics are very simple. I'm going to offer you a free book. I'm not doing this, by the way, but I'm saying someone could offer you a free book. They're gonna, they're gonna pay for clicks, they're gonna pay for opt ins. They're gonna pay for all this stuff. They've development and writing and video editing, all this stuff. And for every person that takes the book for free and pays your own shipping and handling, it's like five bucks, whatever. Five or six bucks, which is nothing. You know it cost the advertiser about $37 to get you to buy a book for free. Did you know that? There is no one that you know that goes out and tries to figure out how to get free leads. We understand the financial metrics to marketing. We're trying to figure out how to monetize called roars. Return on invest advertising revenue. Right, Return of advertising. Roar. R O A R S the spend. If we spend a thousand a day, how much did we make today? See, most people are trying to figure out how to not spend anything to make a million. That's why you're pissed off. It doesn't work. It's impossible. It does not work. Keep buying the lies. Keep sending them your money and it's, you're gonna have the same results. You don't have to believe me. I'm not here to sell you anything. I'm here to help you, baby. Dm, you want to tell them hi, what's tomorrow? Tell the world what tomorrow is. They can't hear you, they can't see you. You gotta tell them. Come on. Me talk. I'm always talking. You gotta talk. He'll be over in a second, I'm sure. But you got to realize like they're, they're trying to figure out, hey, if I can spend a thousand today and make a thousand bucks today, I'm a Z, I'm a break even marketer. I would keep doing that. You might ask, why would someone lose money to make money? Well, it's real simple, right? Real simple. Because there's a bigger, deeper funnel. They know the metrics of their KPIs. For every dollar I spend, I make $13 within 90 days or whatever the number is. That's what real business builders do. That's what we focus on every single day. The truth is today at 10:10am yes, 10:10am that's the real time. I have a call with my team. Team Redemption is what they're called because they screwed up a project and now they're redeeming themselves. I have a video team meeting at 10:10am for about 20, 30 minutes where they're going to show us something that I believe could generate us an extra three to five million dollars a year in our company. That's what I'm talking about. That's what I talk about with my team. That's what my team's thinking about. I'm trying to train my team. I'm trying to train myself. I'm trying to train everyone around us to see the opportunities. I'm trying to train my team to see not the obstacle, but the opportunity. And in the process, do you understand that there's always problems. But like Mike talked about last night, most people put their head in the sand and then it becomes a real problem. It's called bankruptcy. That will never happen in my world, ever. Mark my word. If it was going to happen, I promise it happened when I almost went bankrupt twice back in the day because I was for real piss poor, broke financially, not mentally. It was a very awesome time for me, emotionally, Mentally and physically, because it made me a better person. See, I look at the problem, the obstacle, if you will, as the opportunity. Because I know that's when people stop, overthink, don't trust their instincts or their numbers, and they stick their head in the sand. And then why everyone else crushing it, by the way? People do this for years, but everyone else is crushing it. Then they finally look up, okay, I'm ready now. Everything's different. The opportunity is already gone. That particular one, you have to learn how to act. Not be reactive, but act quickly and swiftly. I was talking to my buddy Terry yesterday. I always say, the art in the start. You follow me? The art is in the start. Or my buddy Mike Lippman always said, you don't have to get it right, just get it going. See, that's good. For procrastinators, sometimes good is good enough. You ever think about that? So as I'm sitting here, what are you talking about? I'd love to talk to you guys. By the way, if you want to hop on here and do a video Q and A, what are you talking about with yourself? What are you talking about with your team? What are you thinking about? What questions are you trying to answer? Listen, if you're trying to solve a two plus two problem as opposed to an algorithm or algebra question or whatever that requires like high level people to come in and help you, you're probably solving the wrong problem. If you want to grow. By the way, this isn't for everybody. If you're just trying to hang out and make a Couple extra bucks, go watch my videos. I talk about. Go in the garage, go in your closet, go in your attic, go in your basement, pull out all the junk you don't use and sell it on Facebook, marketplace, Craigslist and just sell it ebay. You got value for sure. But what are you thinking about as a business owner? Beacon? How can they if you guys got Q&As? What's up Domenico, thank you for dropping these every morning. You're welcome. Hey Paul. What's up buddy? Cecil. What's up my man tk? Guys, Magician versus Mule. Make sure you sign up today. It's free to get over to Magician versus Mule dot com, get on the list. We're going to be sharing some stuff with you prior to tomorrow. What's up Imbuckle? Guys, hop on here. Let's Beacon, let them know how to hop on here. If you guys have a question. Questions. I'd love questions. It's 8:50. I've been here 20 minutes sharing some big high level stuff. But if you got questions, are you talking about. I'm just trying to think like things on my desk. I don't really have a lot of Mel on my desk. Waiting for book tomorrow. Awesome man. Thank you, Cecil. You've always been a great supporter, man. I appreciate you, buddy. I'm going to be going out. I'm going to be giving out some free gear to book buyers. I'm going to be doing some private consulting. But what do you got? Hey Mark, grab that book cover for dad over there, will you? The Magician versus Meal. Yes, sir. Hop on here guys. Let's have some Q and A. Love to talk to you guys. Chat. There we go. Magician versus Mule, baby. Dm. Thank you. You want to hold it? Can you hold it for 10 minutes? You don't have to hold a bottle. I'm just kidding. They see you got it. So tomorrow at 12:34 Eastern Standard Time, we're going to be sharing a very powerful. I got some cool stuff I'm gonna share with you. Tomorrow's my daughter's birthday. She'll be 1 years old. You're gonna see what I'm buying her. You're gonna see what the conversations are I'm having for her. Can you ship to Ecuador? I'm sure Amazon can ship to Ecuador. My man Esteban, for sure you're pumped up about what is going to happen in the real estate market. What is going to happen, Mike? I have no clue. I don't really care, honestly. I'm not saying that to be Silly. I don't care what happens to the market. I'm going to adapt and grow from it. So I think a lot of times people are so worried about what's going to happen, they forget to take care of what's happening. Let me say it again. So, so many people are worried and ponder fing. Or is that right? Pondification like oh my God, this could happen. Theorizing like what could happen or not happen. Why you guys all do that? I'm actually over here making millions doing the work and my team's growing and we're learning about real time data. Here's the truth is, here's the next real question to ask yourself. Based off of what will happen or what you might think is happening. What are you going to do about it when it does happen? Because people been talking about what's going on with this coronavirus for the last six weeks, right? Or however long it's been going on. What about all those people spend all those hours, weeks, months, days, years thinking about how the market's going to shift and what it will look like. No one zero, unless you're Bill Gates was prepared for what's going on right now, right? So at the end of the day, why waste your energy and efforts? You know? You guys understand our brain is the most amazing piece of machinery in the world by far. And yet we waste it on so much stupid shit. Stuff that will never serve you in any way, shape or form, right? Ever. Bob, where's your brain at? You don't know? Is it right here? What is this? Your heart? Do you have a big brain or a little brain? Is it little? It's about size of your fist. Did you know that? Wait, that's your heart?
Yeah.
Did you know that? What are you gonna do for your sister's birthday? Do you like cash or cash flow or both?
Alright. Money.
You like money?
Yeah.
What are you gonna buy with money? What are you gonna buy? What'd you just buy recently with money?
White cigars.
You gonna buy cigars for daddy? Oh, that's nice of you. Thank you. You're always thinking about other people. What about yourself? Don't pick your nose on camera. Don't. I'm gonna cut your finger. All right. Where's the scissors? We'll cut your fingers off. Here, I got you here. We cut it off at the end of the day. What you like. You got your new four wheel car that goes in the grass. Remote controller.
Yeah, but it. But when I put it in a dreaded. Stop throwing in a dreaded Stop going in the grass. Yeah, because the little wheels.
You know why you guys bought the cheap one, not the good one. You guys went for price, not value. You and Mommy. What is bad you value values when something's worth more than a dollar. Like, you guys are shopping against the dollar, not for value. I'd rather pay $100 to have something I could use everywhere than $10 that I could only use once in a while.
Joe, why did little. Why the widow tar is. It's your little. Only in grass.
Yeah, that's only for, like, on the concrete.
You have to be. Wall has.
You have to have bigger tires. You have to have a bigger car.
Wait, I told. I told a car like my monster truck in Ohio.
Yeah. You got one in Ohio like that?
Yeah. But I saw one at the store, so I buy this one.
Oh, you did?
Yeah.
Okay. Okay. Well, let me talk to these guys. Okay. If you have anything to chime in to help them. You gonna help? All right. All right, cool. You're pumped about. Yeah. So again, I focus on what I can control. And again, it's the me economy. I don't. There's so many smart people. I remember this in 0708 06. Whatever, when the big market shifted in real estate, I literally knew it was coming. I was preparing. I was just buying for cash flow. And at the end of the day, what really happened is I just made more money because I was focused on me. And I'm not smart. I barely graduated high school, never went to college. I just understand me and what I'm doing. I can control me. I can understand, like, how I can, like, pivot in moments. What's up, Nick? What's up, Connor? Give me a second, Connor. I'll answer that question as well, buddy. Mark, stop, please. So for us, at the end of the day is there's billionaires, there's smart people, way smarter than I'll ever be intellectually. That all went bankrupt. I didn't. I actually flourished in that market. And it's happening again. There's a lot of economists, there's a lot of people that are very smart that didn't see this coming, they say. And yet my business, we pivot. We're moving, we're adapting, we're adjusting. We're going to be profitable at a high level. I hope to hit our record, like today at 10:10, I believe we will have our biggest year ever in our other company, our media company, in that space by at least 80 to 100% minimum. And that company is very profitable. It's a pretty cool company. Same thing with the real estate company right now. You know, we were getting beat up actually prior to Corona because we were dealing with some adjustments with the team and such. But at the end of the day, we got it dialed in. I have an amazing person helping us drive that company and before you know it, things are happening. They're very happy. The beat positive beats up, everyone's moving and that's what we're focusing on. And that's Christian, by the way. He's the man with the plan on that. Hey, Connor. Mark. I'm not quite there yet, but ideally, what is the benchmark that I need to hit in wholesale deals before I make my first hire? I don't know the answer to that because I hired prior. I don't hire when I need to. I hire when I want to or like when I feel like I. When I feel like I'm ready. Like you're never ready, by the way. But Connor, if you have deals, I don't know what your deal volume is. If you want to hop on here, I'd love to talk to you one on one about this, but you know, I believe everyone should hire an assistant asap. I think an assistant will buy you so much more time. Let me share something with you guys too here, because when I was talking to my buddy this morning about him hiring people, there's a couple mindset pieces that come with this. So his, this guy is a hardest work, one of the hardest working guys. I know he cannot work me, but he's hard worker. He is, he's cranking, he is doing some amazing stuff. He's hitting, you know, mid six figures a month in revenue. It's a multi million dollar company, by the way. He started with 016 months ago and he's going to hit multiple millions of dollars this year, which is very cool. But he's never really hired people and he's always fought me on hiring people. He's like, dude, they can't do it. I need to control it. I need to micromanage. Like, he's very clear about that and he's not. You know, that's a real thing. I dealt with it myself back in the day. And he finally made a hire and you know, he was talking to me, he's like, you realize I wouldn't be 20% of where I'm at today if I didn't hire people like you told me to do. He said, no joke, man. What I really done, I just sit back if you tell me to do it. I do it now. I still fight it a little bit, but I know you're telling me for a reason to hire someone. And he just hired another person recently, a high level exec, which will actually become the COO of that company. And it was a big decision financially. It was a big decision for him. But I said, dude, like this person will, this person will make you more money the day you say yes to hiring them. And you might think, how, how's that possible? Because I'm spending more money now, that's less profit in my company, blah, blah, blah. Well, what it does is it gives you confidence. It really unlocks something in your brain. When you hire someone like that, you have to elevate your game because now they're watching you and you're in charge of this. They're like, hey, what do I do next, Mark? You know, kind of thing. Not only that, you're going to sleep great at night, that night. And they're going to sleep, they're not going to be up all night. That's the kind of dynamic you want because they care. This individual he hired is a hard worker, amazing person. She's going to drive the company. She literally will triple or four times that company over the next 12 months. I know it. I've seen this happen many times. Because she's in it to win it. They're connected at that level. He doesn't want to let her down and most importantly, she doesn't want to let him down. And when you understand true leadership, that's how leaderships grow. That's how companies grow. When you have everyone dialed into that core culture where I don't want to let you down. That's why I always say they don't work for me, I work for them. I don't want to let them down. I'm thinking about how to drive them to the next step. I'm trying to figure out how to give them more marketing opportunities. I'm trying to figure out how to give them more money, how to help them a better lifestyle for their selves and their family. That's to me what it's all about. And that's Beacon. What are you doing over there? Playing around, trying to look pretty on screen? Nah, it literally just moved me. I didn't touch anything. Dude, I don't believe. See, that's what I'm saying. You got Beacon over there. He just wants to be seen over there. It was the WI fi popped up thing. Your WI Fi's poop. So I guess it like put Me. It's all good, man. Just messing with you. But, guys, this is Connor. So I recommend hiring sooner than later. And when you read the book. What's up, Shane? When you read the book, Magician vs. Mule, tomorrow, when you order it, I think you'll be very pleased to see some of the stuff I'm talking about in there. Where's my book? Here. Marco, what'd you do with that? You write daddy note? I don't have the book in here right now. Yes, I do, actually. I lied to you. Right there, right? This book has so many nuggets in it. Because, again, like, you guys understand painstakingly, this is page by page. This is me editing, by the way. This is the editor's copy. But I went through this thing. I spent hours and hours and hours, many hours. And my buddy Mike valid that helped me on this book. It's powerful. Guys over at Dream Starters. But he. You know, there's so much going on that we need to understand when hiring. It's. It's not. You're not trying to hire sometimes for growth. Like a direct correlation. Like, if I give them eight bucks an hour, I make 100 bucks an hour. Oftentimes we have to realize is actually, it's freeing you up. It's. It's creating this mental opportunity to like, holy cow, I just bought 40 hours of my life back. See, this is like mentorships, too. I'm ordering it first thing in the morning. Awesome. Thank you, Nick. Thank you, Josh. Hired based on where you want to go, not where you're at. 100%. Don't hire where you're at because that's when you hire out of your reactive, not proactive. It's a whole nother conversation. But what I want you to realize is. Can I ask you guys a question again? This is a. If you guys have commented in the box here, I'm going to wait for a minute to get a couple answers on it. But what are you ultimately really trying to build a business for? I know. Money, right? But what does money buy you? What does money buy you? What are you really trying to build and work all these hours and do all this crazy stuff and push these boundaries? What are you really trying to buy back? What are you trying to get? What are you trying to do? Go ahead, answer. I'll wait for you. What are you guys trying to. You're buying money buys freedom and options. Time and freedom and experiences. Time, freedom, cash flow every month, right? What are you gonna do with the cash flow every month? All great answers by the way, the answer is simple. We're buying time. Freedom of time. Right, Cecil? We're buying time. If you have more money in the bank, you might be able to do more things with yourself and with your family. You might be able to take care of yourself. Right? Time, freedom. Do you understand? This is why you hear guys like me and Tim Braatz and Sean Whalens and anybody that's doing big stuff talk about hiring mentors. You might think it costs a lot of money, and you're right, maybe it does. But what you're really doing, if you know it or not, you're not buying my. You're not buying my knowledge. That might be what you think you're paying for my knowledge and all that. What you're buying is my 23 years of time. My job is to expedite my 23 years and deliver to you in 20 minutes. My job is to take all my struggles, all my pains, all my wins, hand it to you on a silver platter for a small, very small price to pay. Do you think when you're laying in the casket and your family's looking over you when you're dead, do you think they're like, man, I wish you wouldn't have spent 35 grand with that Evans guy that never worked? Or do you wish they said, hey, he has a hundred million dollars in the bank. If I could only get one more minute with him, if I could only get one extra day, if I could only tell them 5 minutes, take 5 minutes of their time and have you just tell them one thing about how much it meant to me. You're buying time. And yet you will wallow over this and you'll read books. Books are awesome. But, like, you know, it takes a lot of time to read a book. It takes a lot of time. Distractions. And where you're at and where you're going, when you hire a great mentor, someone that really is a mentor that cares, you're buying time. You don't even. There's no intrusion. There's no value. You don't even know how much time you're buying. But if you came to me and you're saying, I'm here, here and here, and I want to get here, my job, while you're giving me $35,000 or whatever it is at the time when I'm doing it, it's not like, oh, my God, I just made 35 grand off this sucker. It's more like, how do we help them accomplish more in the next 12 months than they've done in the last 12 years. That's what true mentors do, right? That's the answer. And you're sitting here wondering how it makes you money as opposed to how. What if it buys you more time? More time allows you to create more revenue. More revenue allows you to create more time. I use my money to buy more money, cash flow. And when I get more money, I get more time. Because the way I've built my business, by the way, that's not always the case. The more money you make does not necessarily mean you have more time to spend to do things you love to do. Because I know a lot of guys that built businesses, bigger businesses of mine that have zero time to do anything except work and pay their bills. But if you build the lifestyle and you build the cash flow machines and you can create both of them dynamically to grow and serve each other, you could really do some amazing things. I do have the ultimate time freedom. Build it. I know how to do it. It's not always easy. It's actually more mental than anything because I'm sitting here like, everyone's saying, it's so hard. I'm making more money. Everyone's saying you can't start a new business. I've bought multiple things and I'm looking to buy more. Right? Money's a tool. That's why I like buying businesses, truthfully. That's why I like buying houses that are already built. Truthfully, I don't like to develop because it takes time. I don't like to build a company. It takes years to get it to stabilize the profit. I can buy your time for pennies on the dollar. You know that, right? There's companies you could literally buy today for pennies on the dollar of what it would take to build it up. Not only that, you would know if it's already successful. You could buy something that you already know has a track record. Why do I need to create it? Why do I need to dream about it? Why do I need to struggle through it? What? Why do I need to fight? Figure it out, fight again, figure it out again and continue down that path. Why can't I just buy a performing asset? By the way, that's what franchises are mostly. Not all franchises, by the way, are created equal, but that's what you're kind of doing. You're buying a model that works. Same thing I do in businesses. I can trade a hundred grand and produce 12 grand a month in cash flow or whatever the number is. I don't have to use my own Money, I could bring in investor money. And now instead of me getting 12 grand, I get six grand, but I have zero my own money in it. You understand? You could do that today, but you can't do it if you're a mule. Magician versus Mule. You guys have to get this book tomorrow at 12:34pm, be on the list@magicianversemeal.com I'm telling you, I have not. I only want to help you. I genuinely do. I'm pissed off. More people aren't asking questions to jump on here and do live video. I want to help you. It's not about watching, it's about learning about asking a question. I can help you. And if I can, I'll tell you, I can't help you either. But if you have a question I don't know the answer to, my job would be, how do I help you find the answer? You see what I mean? So you got to find a mentor or you got to find someone that you connect with. That's where you want to be and that can help you and that genuinely wants to help you. It's not. You're just not a number to the dm, that's for sure. Like you guys understand that. And again, I know it's easier said than done, but like, we do a lot of stuff behind the scenes that you guys don't even know about. When we see someone have a baby, when we see someone have a big, big moment in their life, you know, we have a pretty big gift giving budget. Six figures a year to be exact. Well, not exact. Semi exact is over six figures a year. Where we're sending gifts every single day to different people. People that I've never even made a dime with and nor have any intentions to, just to let them know that I'm thinking about them. But what it does, what I like about that. And again, in the beginning, you don't have to have a huge budget, but you have to. What I like about, I've always been a giver. I like to give people. I like to make their day. You could sit back and do these, right? I could send you a note, handwritten note, thank you. A dm, thank you note. That's a gift, right? And what happens when you do that is you're looking for good things to tell people. You're looking for the opportunities to separate yourself. Hey, hey, Cecil. Thank you very much, buddy. You're amazing, buddy. Thank you for always being a great supporter. Mark Evans. Just them getting that letter in the mail and saying, holy shit, this Guy took three minutes of his life to tell me thank you, or whatever. It's powerful. We all can do that today. The power of the pen and paper is very amazing. Or shoot a video. Hey, what's up? It's your boy Mark. Thinking about you. Hope you're doing amazing. Anyways, I was at the park. I saw Blah, blah, blah, blah, and I thought about you. You took a minute to tell someone you thought about them, right? It's real. You're welcome. Dylan, you gotta realize this isn't just about money. It's about connecting to create. Going to be here 60 years from now doing the same exact shit I'm doing. Growing, pushing, prodding. I might be a hologram by then, but I will be here. What's up, Joey? Hologram. And I'm connecting. And hopefully my son or my daughter or both of them are driving the back office. Helping people grow, helping people learn, helping people push. See, your mentor isn't supposed to be your friend either. Only they're supposed to be a person that helps you and pushes you. Person that challenges your thoughts. If your mentor is like, has you feeling good, every time you talk to them, they're selling you. They're just trying to figure out how to get in your pocket. Think about this. Your high school coach, or if you've ever played a professional sport or whatever, anything that you've excelled at, you've hated your coach. I hate my trainer often when I'm working out. I don't hate him as a person. I hate him. Pushing me more, Mark, two more, Mark, two more. All right, two more. Two more. You got no, two more on you. Let's go, let's go. I don't like that. I want it, though. It pushes me. It makes me better. I don't like him at that moment, but I appreciate him and I respect him in that moment. See, there's a difference. When a lot of people get beat up like that or get pushed, they actually think it's bad. They think it hurts them. You don't understand, man. I've had a bad day. No one cares but being a pussy. Let's go. At all. No one cares. Except you, by the way. No one. Not even your mom and dad care. Get over it, right? Thank you, Kevin. Appreciate you, brother. We got to do a show. Kevin, he's here, and he's my neighbor down the street. Owns a title company. But, folks, we have so much opportunities to help so many people. And if you're watching this, you know you are a leader. And if you're not a leader where you want to be. You're a leader in the making. I know I'm still being groomed. I'm still trying to figure it out. I don't act like I'm coming here knowing all the answers. But I do have 23 years of in the trenches. If I don't kill it, I don't eat. If I don't grow, I. I don't grow like period. And I've nearly went bankrupt twice in the beginning. I've built a business for 10 years that I hated, right? I was a mule to the mules level. And in 2005 that changed. I realized something. A lot of people talked a lot of smack about me. A lot of people, dude, you're gonna go under. Dude, you can't do that in real estate. You need to go to title. You need to do this. They told me everything I needed to do, but they didn't tell me what I could do right. Because they're pulling from their limited information, they're pulling from their limited capacity. See, what you don't realize is when one sees it from a different perspective, no matter what my job is now, how to look for the path of least resistance to make that happen. I'm sitting on the beach in South Beach, Florida in mid January 2006. At this point, a flip phone closing a deal, making six figures. And in nanosecond I'm getting a call from a person that's local, says, dude, your office is a piece of shit. No one's doing anything. You guys don't know what you're doing over there. I told you, you leaving out of this place, it's going to go under. And I'm like, okay, cool, thanks Ben. And I just made six figures. And I'm like, okay, who's got it figured out? Keep in mind what's interesting. They were out of business in six months. We were thriving and still are thriving. Go figure. See, it's not what we like. People don't see what we see. That's what makes it cool. That's what makes it unique. That's what makes it fun. Actually, I started with my buddy like I said earlier today, but what would we do if we so called retire? We get to wake up and build something every day. We get to wake up and work on our brain every day. We get to wake up and create challenges and opportunities and revenue or lose revenue. It's fun. What would we do every day if we couldn't do that? We've already built our dream life we're already living the dream life. Yeah, sure, I don't want to be here working every day, but I have to because it's what makes me happy. Because, right. What I'd say is, like, I don't have to. And then I go and don't do this for a week. And now I'm like, man, I'm sad. I miss you guys. I like the connection. I like to grow. I like to push. I like to come here and bring the heat. You understand? Most of you guys watching this will never even reach out and say, hey, man, this is working for the first three years, five years. But there's something I said today. There's something I'll say tomorrow. There's something I'll say the day before that. You said, mark, you know what you said? This moment, I was at my factory job, and it hit me like a ton of bricks. I didn't know what it was, but it was something. Then I remembered, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And now I'm a millionaire. Or now I'm able to spend more time with my family. Or now I'm both a millionaire, multimillionaire, spending more time with my family, creating the life I want to create. That's why I'm here. I'm not here for this moment. I'm here for what brings in the future. Actually, I'm here for both. I love being here. I love seeing you guys here. It's amazing to me. What's up, Mike? So, again, if you guys have any questions, please feel free to ask right now. What's up? Zelonis loves his Ohio network. Ohio boys are deep. Let me know you guys are over there and you signed up. Magician versus Mule. Give me a hell yes. Let's go. DM guys. Phil Pre. You know what time it is, by the way? One second. You know what time it is? Take a snapshot. Ready? I'm going to snap. Hold this here for a second. Snapshot this. Post it on your social media and tag me. This is how you're going to win gifts as well. Let's get a good lighting here for you. There you go. All right. Tag me, Bob, you want to hold it up? Don't shove your muscles, though. I want to beat this game. Hell yes. Hell, yeah. Hey, when are you starting a new business or looking to acquire one? What things do you look for? Scalability, impact. For Dylan, Great question. We can answer that here later. That's a big topic. But when I'm looking to acquire one, what things do you look for? I look for opportunity in businesses. And I look for alignment of what I have going on. Is it an alignment and is it. Can I bring a core value? Can I bring value with my competency inside the company? So I'm just looking for very simple. So right now, I'm very heavy on E Comm business. I'm very interested in them real estate stuff. I'm partnered with real estate guys. I just struck a deal with a guy yesterday, actually. I'm super excited with where I'm bringing Bob. I'm bringing financing for some deals, and I'd love to bring millions of dollars, let alone hundreds of thousands. So, you know, striking deals. I'm looking for great workers. I'm looking for great magicians that I can help groom and help become better human beings at the highest level, I can make money with them. We can make an impact together, and we can keep grinding and growing. That's what it's about for me. I'm always looking for scalability. That's the biggest thing I don't like about real estate. Scalability is tough. It's different. It's not tough. It's just different than E Comm. E Com. The world is your backyard real estate. Your zip code is your backyard. That's an issue with it. So a lot going on, but got you guys. Thank you, Kevin. Thank you, Mike and Dylan. We'll talk more about this later in the future, buddy. Because I'm very heavy on business buying, actually. That's how I started my entrepreneurial journey. I bought a seamless gutter company for $1,000 down borrowed money and took it over. And instantly I had 20 calls coming in day one, and I was in business. I could not turn off the faucet. It was literally like that. But again, I didn't know. I was 18 years old. I had zero clue what I was doing. Through thought, auditing and reflection and journaling. I was thinking about, like, how have I done this? And by the way, I've bought many, many, many businesses from this point forward, multiple per year. I buy many per year still, and I have been doing so for a long time. But I might be buying them to clean them up and reorganize them and bring, you know, maybe buy their list by their data, by their. Their products, by their systems, by their. I mean, there's. There's a lot of things I've done there, and I've also started some. Starting them is hard. It's hard, man. It's a different animal. So. All right, folks, well, if you need me, hit me up in a private message. I'll be here tomorrow. I'm not sure if I'm going to do two guys. Let me ask you a question. Should I do two shows tomorrow? 8:30, maybe I'll do a quick show. Coffee and cigars and coffee at 8:30 for half hour.
And.
And then I'll be back here at 12:34pm for the book launch party. Beacon. What do you think we should do? What do you guys think we should do? I'd love to get your guys input. Hell yeah. Hell yeah. What? Both of them? Why can't we do both? I like. I like it. I like it. Thank you, Dylan. Thank you guys. Should I do one or two shows tomorrow? One or two shows? Let me know. I got a big book launch. Josh has two shows as well. I got a. I got a beacon. You don't even know this yet, but I got a ton of. Ton of shows to do next week. Kind of like doing the, you know, book launch party, if you will. Like where we're going to. We're doing a tour. So. Dylan. Two, two, two, Mike two Bravis. Two. All right, guys, I got you. I'll do two then. I'm working for you over here. But how much do I make is a dollar for every hour I work? Is it going to pay me? Buff, should Daddy do one show or two shows tomorrow? 2. Are you gonna help me? You gotta come on tomorrow and do a show though with Daddy. Why? Why not? What should we talk about tomorrow then? Dan wouldn't be started right way without hearing from the dm. Awesome, Paul. I'll work on two guys. I'll make it happen. I appreciate you guys. If you would also help me, this would be huge. By the way, let me know what you would like me to come with tomorrow morning. I have a couple ideas, but let me know. You guys, I'm building out shows here. I want it to impact you. It's not me just to be talking to talk. I would love for you guys to give me some insights on like where you're struggling. What questions do you really have? If you don't want to share it in a public forum, send me in a private Message @Markevans DM or follow me on Instagram arkevansdm and let me know. Make sure you guys get over to Magician versus Mule sign up. It's free right now. We're going to be cranking it up. There's a lot of opportunities, guys. I'm going to be sharing over there with you prior to 1234. So keep a lookout. I'm super excited for you guys. Thank you guys for your support. Let's sell hundreds of thousands of books tomorrow. As you guys know, 100% of the net proceeds go to charity. And I'll keep you guys posted with that as well. Look forward to giving a lot of money away over there. So thanks to you. Thanks to you guys. So appreciate you guys. Share this message, share it on your wall, share it on your stories. And if you need anything, let me know. And please let me know what you're struggling with, what you're having an issue with. Let me serve you, let me help you here. And like I said, if you're embarrassed to talk about it out loud, one, you shouldn't be. But two, if you are, will help you get over that, let me know. I can't help you. I don't know. You need help unless you raise your hand and ask for it. So don't sit on the sidelines. This is for you guys, not for me. So I'm here to help. So guys, with that said, hope you have an amazing day. I'll see you tomorrow at 12:34pm Eastern Standard Time on the book launch of Magician vs. Mule right there. And I'll see you at 8:30 as well. Cigars and coffee. Have an amazing day, fellas and gals. Talk to you guys.
