Guys, real quick, give me a shout out, let me know where you're from. Where are you guys from today? What's up guys? Nick's in Cleveland. I know that. So I'm sitting here in Florida. It's beautiful out, 66 degrees. Got a lot of cool stuff going on. What's up, Dylan? What's up, Chris? Good morning, guys. Good morning. We got a lot of neat things happening, a lot of craziness. What's up Nick? Today is one of those days. A lot of anxiety, right? For me anyways. I feel anxious. That usually means a lot of big things are going on. And if you ever have that feeling, which you probably do often like I do and pretty much like every business owner I know. What's up, Mike? What's Massachusetts, Rhode island is you got to write down. Why are you feeling anxious? Richmond, Virginia. What's up buddy? So for me, what I'm doing is I'm paying attention to like everything I have going on today. Today my schedule is very int. And when my schedule gets really packed, like literally from, you know, since 6:30 this morning till about 7:30, 8:00 clock tonight, I will be literally in front of the computer, being here on something like this or on the phone or, you know, working on content of some sort. So today's one of those 6:30am well, I've been up since 4, but 6:30am of working like I was on the phone. Conference call, 6:30 this morning, then pushing it to about 8, 8:30 tonight and then kind of settle down for a minute. But it's just what you got to do. So brings me to the big topic. What's up? We got Richmond, Brad. What's up, buddy? Columbus, Mike in Fort Worth, Brayden in Orlando, Misty in Youngstown, Rob in Youngstown, and Paul in Australia. Thank you guys very much. International, baby. I love it. The beauty of the Internet. We are international and all that good stuff. So the anxiety is, as you guys know, tonight I have an amazing guest. If you hope, hopefully you guys can be there at 6:30pm Eastern Standard Time. Tonight I have an amazing guest. Mike. He wrote the book Profit first, Fix that now, Fix this next. I should say there's a lot of the pumpkin plan, the toilet paper. I mean, he's really written a lot of amazing books and I think he's very knowledgeable, way smarter than I'll ever be. On the way, he creates a chronological order to help you succeed as a business owner. And he's helped millions of people across the world. And I hope you guys can join us. This is a huge guest, a huge help for you and your business for where you're at and where you want to go. And I just want to share him with you guys. And he's got some cool stuff going on. So I feel very confident when you show up, you're going to get a lot of value out of it. So bring some questions. Even today, I'd like you to have some questions. So why is all this important? I talk about this all the time. But like in business, you're either consuming or creating. And social media, to me that is where we're shooting this video and talking to you on Facebook, Periscope, YouTube, etc. Social media is a very powerful tool. We live in a voyeurism world. There's a lot of people that are voyeurs that don't engage or connect or like today. But maybe in six years from now they're like, dude, I've watched every video you've ever shot. I love everything you got going on. Your kids have grown up, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. They know a lot about your life. No, but so what I want to share with you is like Are you consuming or creating too much? There's nothing wrong with consumption. The problem is you got to be careful not over consuming where it creates. Insert uncertainty of action. So, for example, I'm playing around with the stock market. I have recently, for the last five, six weeks, just kind of putting some cash in there. If I lose it, great. Well, not lose it, great. If I lose, it's not the end of the world. If I make money, great. I'm just kind of, kind of playing around with my thought tolerance and my risk factors and all that stuff. And you can go down a black hole. Quick learning option trading and spreads and blah, blah, blah, blah. So, you know, set aside 45 minutes a day to learn a specific skill, right? Bob, you want to say hi? Say hi to everyone. You're on cigars and coffee. No coffee or cigars for you, buddy. So you got to be careful. You got to consume, you know, figure 30 or 60 minutes a day of consumption of a specific thing. I can't do more than that because I started getting anxious. I'm working really hard and you know, writing down my thoughts, like, okay, you know, he said this or buy at this number. And then the beta, the theta, blah, blah, blah, blah. And what happens is if you watch more videos from different types of people, their theory or their thought process may be way different. So now have to consume this. Consume this. And now at my job is the decipher. Well, the problem, it's hard to decipher if I don't know what I don't know. So, for example, I'm talking to you about real estate. I'm like, this is the best strategy in real estate that I know exist. Well, that's for me. You can look out to 10 other people. They might say 10 other things. They might say apartment buildings, they might say vacant land, they might say turnkey. They might say wholesale. They might say retail. They might say hotel, they might say owner financing. I mean, there's a million different ways. And they're all right, they all work. The question is, which one works for you? And I think this is what we have to understand is as a consumption world we live in, we have to understand that we have to be conscious of the information we're feeding ourselves. So once you can do that, then you can start creating. So consume. Spend an hour max a day on consumption and then create. Because if not, you're getting all these thoughts and you're like, well, Steve said that. Well, wait, Mark said that. Well, wait, Don said that. Well, wait, Susan said that. And Then you just play this game and then you look up and you're like, oh, shit, it's 8:00pm okay, I'll get to it tomorrow. I'll do it tomorrow. Do it tomorrow and then repeat process. You don't have to say that's how it happens. I know that's how it happens because I've been there and I'll probably be there again soon again and I'll do it again. So I've tried to be conscious of it and protect your mind. Back to social media. This is an amazing marketing platform. So if you're just consuming, that's what they want you to do. I use it as marketing. You know, just so happens we can talk like this. Live video. I share posts. I did that very vulnerable post of me showing my fat body and then my not as fat body recently, which was amazing. Thank you guys. Everybody that responded, responded to that one. It was really, really, really cool. Very overwhelming in a positive way. So it's amazing to say the least that happened. But I was just sharing genuinely. Again, creating content. Hey, here's a picture of me. I create this. I share and then I get a lot of feedback. And what that does is create conversations. It connects us at a different level. I talk vulnerability about, like how food is my problem. I like to eat when I celebrate. I like to eat when I'm sad. Pretty much I like to eat. And that's what made me super fat and feeling disgusting and not filling in my thang. Brad, I'm trying to keep up with you, my man. I'm trying to catch you, I should say. I keep up with you, catch you. What's up, Rob? What's up, Tom? So as a consumption model, you got to be careful. Consuming too much TV is dangerous. Consuming too much social media is dangerous because you don't know real info, bad info. Where are you at mentally, Emotionally too. Like if you're consuming in a weak environment, you're hurting yourself more than helping it because it's almost like you're just beating yourself up and piling on more junk. So I would say go to creation mode, create the ad on Craigslist, create the ad, post on Facebook about what's going on. Send out the direct mail that you've been putting off. Make those hundred calls that you said you're going to make last week you still haven't made this week. Get a hundred no's, you know, back to, you know, just make. Getting a hundred no's take you out of the equation. 100 no's equals 1 yes, 2 yeses, 3 yeses, etc. What's up, Todd? So you have to understand, like, there's so much opportunity. It's. And again, coronavirus or no coronavirus, there's, there's opportunities. And there will forever be more opportunities than there ever been. When I started in 96, just for the simple fact of is the Internet didn't exist like it does today. You guys, we have every tool, every opportunity, every situation to succeed. If you can't market and succeed today, you can never market succeed any day. If you can't generate revenue today by serving people today, well, you can serve like millions, hundreds of millions of people just by the touch of a computer. You understand how powerful. You know, a lot of people see this as a cell phone. Really what this is, this is a computer in your hand. You understand that, right? This is a computer. A computer is meant to be used, not to be. You don't use it to consume. I don't. Yes, I'm on social. Yes, I'm messaging people back, but I'm messaging back to connect. My buddy Shawn, I had on Monday, you know, that I was put in his book, you know, him and I connected through this computer. Social media was the tool. The computer was the path to get there. We connected. Hey, what's up, Sean? Hey. Cigar. Boom. Snap, snap, boom, boom. We did this consistently for two, three years, I don't know how long. And then before you know, I'm like, yo, man, you want to come jump on the yacht with me for a week and hang out? Of course, who wouldn't? But do you like going on the yacht? No. Yeah, you do. Mark's got a girlfriend on the yacht, Anna Marie. Oh, I told everyone he's taking off running. But what you got to understand is treat it as if like you understand. I just like everyone else as a marketer, want you to be consuming my content. That's what we want. That's the goal of a marketer. There's nothing wrong with that, but knowing that you should also. There's nothing wrong with consuming it, but take that knowledge and go implement it and grow, create. Maybe there's a story I shared a day with you that resonates with you. You can take that story, create your own story and share it on your social media. And tag me. It's like, hey, I was just hanging out here with Mark. Tag me in it. And he said something that resonated. Let me explain. Boom. See, you can be like a reporter style person to connect with data, to connect with information. To connect with your people, to connect with your tribe, to create conversations. If I talk about private money and I share a path of how I've been able to create millions of dollars in private money and I share that with you, you don't have to turn around and say, well, Mark just, he said he made $10 million, he generated $10 million in private money. So I got to say that I can't do anything until I do that. At least that's not the case. You could just talk about how I shared the story and how I was able to extract what over many millions of dollars in private money. And then what happens is now you become the local expert in your tribe market and they reach out to you and say, hey, John, that was a great article you wrote about that private money stuff. Do you have any opportunities? I have 250k, send in an IRA and then boom, now the conversation start. See, Oprah Winfrey is not an expert. You guys know that, right? She's clearly not an expert at much. She knows how to. And I'm not taking anything away from her, but she's not an expert. Thank you, Misty. She's not an expert. She's simply a reporter. In essence. She has the eyeballs, which, by the way, we all should get more eyeballs. That's the goal. Get the eyeballs in the ears. And then she's sharing information with people about what's hot topics and then people buy into it. So, you know, she is an outlet of opportunity and that's what you need to be. So don't think you have to be an expert to share content. You could simply just report it over and conversate about it. That's all you're doing. And it will extract like. So if you need to get. If you guys have questions on this, I'd love to talk to you one on one here. Well, via video here. Because if you have, like, if you're trying to raise money, if you're trying to get in better shape, like, whatever it is, you could find someone that's an expert in it and you can go and listen to them and then you could report on that information. It's that easy. And then it's going to ultimately get what you want. It's going to pull it closer, right? So it's like, hey, guys, you know, I want to share with you how, how to buy a property for a dollar, you know, you know, using options on property. I've done it. I've written many, I've written books about it. I've written courses about it, there's videos online for free about it. So you could like literally bring it to their attention, create a conversation and have an extraction moment and figure out what serves your business. Figure out how your business can benefit from the information that you're sharing. So again if maybe, and I'm using Misty because she's an agent and broker in Columbus, Ohio, you could just do a simple reporting of what's going on in Columbus by collecting data. How many properties went up for market, how many properties sold, how many properties are going above market, whatever the hook or niche is and just share that information with your email list. So you have social media, you have your email database, you have advertisement going on. I mean there's so many channels of opportunity right now and there always will be. Do you or you know, anybody doing hard. There's lots of people everywhere. I mean the answer is yes, they're everywhere. The question is how much do you want to pay? The question is is it a good deal? The question is what's the situation? The question is how quickly you're trying to get the money. So I mean there's always money guys, by the way, there's always money available. Always. The question is how much is it? That's the question. It doesn't make sense for you. Yesterday I had a lot of deals closed. Today I have two or three deals closing where I'm a lender on them. So these opportunities are there. The question is what are you doing with them? Jmar, if you want to hop on, anybody want to hop on and do a live talk? I mean that's what this is about. It makes my job easier. Not only that I can help you directly and I'd prefer to help you if I can instead of just talk to talk. But consumption. Don't get mad when people talk negative. I always say haters aren't creators. Right? Beacon, tell people how they can hop on here. My man, you're over there slipping on me. Yeah, everybody can hop on. Just message in the chat that you're looking to ask a question for Mark, hop on and then I'll reply to you via thanks you can I. Cool buddy. Get some Internet. Tell your mom and dad to get off of the dial up. You're on the, you're on the computer working. But yeah, guys, there's so much opportunity. Don't be hating on people, you know, sharing other people's information. Like for example, we should all do this real quick because today at 6:30pm Mike's gonna be here with profit first, hope you guys are ready for that. You guys should all do this real quick. Take a picture. Share it on your social media. Tag me. Love for you to tag me. Actually, my stuff I can't even take a picture of these days. All right, now I'm ready. So take a picture with this. Here we go. Magician versus Mule. Go. Take a picture. Tag me. Get over to Magician versus Mule as well. Dot com. Sign up for the Autoresponder newsletter. I got some cool stuff we're going to be sharing with you guys over there. Actually, the first autoresponder is pretty cool. Just a hillbilly from Ohio, but a lot of cool stuff on Facebook tonight. Yes. 6:30pm Same exact spot right here. Wherever you're coming in. We're going to be doing live through the streamyard here. But we got a lot of cool stuff going on, guys. If you're dealing with anxiety, like I said, just write it down. If you're dealing with consumption or creation. Typically when I feel super anxious, there's different anxieties. Is it anxiety for inaction or is it anxiety because I have a lot going on. I get very anxious when my schedule is very booked out. It just freaks me out a little bit. Like how am I going to get this all done? And that's okay to figure out. Hey, bubble, come on. I'm about to beat my son. So I'm about to pause this before. I don't want this to be on camera. But you have to understand is like we have so much opportunity to be here and present. So what are we doing? How are we growing? How are we expanding? What are you working on? And for me, that's when my anxiety levels start kicking up. You understand? I don't want to go to bed at night and I can't wait to wake up in the morning. There's so much to do, so much to do. Do you use auction.com for buying homes out of state? No. That's amateur hour anyway. I personally think any auction sites are amateur hour. I think you could possibly get deals, but I just. I'm just not into it. Hop on the call, buddy. I'll help you guys. Again, I have a different take on virtual. So if you want to talk about virtual real estate. I've been doing virtual real estate since December 31, 2005. I actually wrote the book on virtual investing. I built the first virtual real estate investment company under the moon that I know of. I don't know anything about it. Prior to that, I don't know anybody created a Virtual business in that space at all before me. And I'm not blowing my own horn, it's just the facts are the facts. I've written books about it, I've had everyone copy me on it and act like they're doing it. Thank you Claude. So it's like, it's funny because I wrote a course back in 2005 called Reverse Real Estate and that's really wholesaling in a reverse manner. Just going after and creating a buyers list and creating good relationships and then finding great deals and putting the two together via wholesale and then go there, my kid is sleeping, wake up. No, I'm just joking. But it's so, yeah, it's stuff like that. But there's so much opportunity. So people are copying me. They have copied me many times over. Some people are using my brand, Deal maker brand, which is always funny to me. Even smart people. What I'm always amazed is why do people copy other people? It's really weird to me. I would feel like a dumbass if I copied someone. I'd be embarrassed actually I would say hey, I have zero creativity. I have no, I have no thought. The truth is Reverse Real estate, I paid $10,000 for that name, Reverse Real Estate meaning I paid a coach for a one day meeting and I drove to him. It was a three hour drive each way I think or something like that. And I sit down with him for a couple, four or five hours and we came up the course name Reverse Real Estate. That's the truth. I have a company in India. Could I use those resources? Create Virtual Media team? I have a company, I have a company in India. Could I use those resources? Yeah, I mean listen, there's resources everywhere. I mean at the end of the day upwork is powerful. I mean there's so many virtual resources now again, when I wrote the book back in 2005, 6, 7, I think virtual investing made easy came out in 07. You know, not all these resources were new. Like, I mean they're very new. Do you think Zillon, Redfin IBUY is going to take off? I have no clue, nor do I care. See the problem is Jmar who like I'd love to talk to you. I, I don't give two shits about anything you're asking about because it doesn't affect me. That's the truth. And when you know, like I don't care. They don't even know what they're doing. How would I know what they're doing? You know what I mean? The market's Shifting the things are changing. I focus on the me economy. That's a real thing. I'm not saying that to be a dick. I'm just being honest with you. I don't. You know, it's. It's just. I don't care. I genuinely don't care what they do. I hope they killed the game. That's all I do. I hope they crush it. I hope they make a lot of money for themselves and their investors and they win. Like, I don't how that happens. I have no clue, nor do I care. I don't know their business model, nor do you. Shit. Like I said, they don't even know their business model 100%. So if they did, they'd already be there and it'd be what it is. Hey, very few can originate and create, but many can copy. Yeah, it's too sad, right, Claude? So you've been around long enough to realize that. But at the end of the day, guys like the me economy, maybe we could talk more about that if you guys want to. But you understand, whatever. Whatever's going on in the politics, I still got to take care of me and my family. Whatever goes on in the world, I still got to take care of me and my family. Whatever in my health and my wealth I got. It's my job to protect all that and grow that and build it. So if Zillow's doing this, what does that have to do with me? If Trump says this or Obama does this or Clinton kills someone else, what's that have to do with me? You know what I mean? Yes, I might have to be aware, but I don't have to. I don't deal with it. I was talking to someone yesterday saying, oh, my God, dude, I heard they opened up the beaches in Florida. I was like, I didn't even know they were closed. I don't know what's going on. It doesn't affect me. I'm not at the beach. I'm on my house, working, taking care of me, taking care of my health, taking care of my family, hanging out by the pool, smoking a cigar, creating a book that I'm trying to launch and not mess it up. So it's like I have so much stuff going on, I could give two shits what you are doing or anybody else. And that's the truth. You know what I mean? The salesman always comes first. I don't know what that means, Claude, but I don't know what that means as a salesman, depending how you define a salesman. First and foremost, right? But for me, myself, just happens. My initials are Mark Evans. But if I'm not happy, if I'm not healthy, if I'm not on my game, no matter what's going on in the world, it would always be a problem, right? Like, you understand, up to six weeks prior. Well, up to what's going on right now. With the coronavirus situation, everyone thought they had it made. Now they realize they don't. Well, if you take care of you, you always have it made because you're in control. See, the outside forces don't control me. I control it. I control me. That's it. No more, no less. You know? Does it suck? Yeah, of course. But doesn't suck for me as much. Because I've been built like this since 05. I've been virtual. My kids are homeschooled. We have a nanny. We don't have to go to work. We build a life around what we want, not what the world thinks it should look like. And that's a big difference. And that's the truth. I've had people look at me like I'm a retard because I homeschool my kids. Oh, my God. What about the social experiences? Well, dude, it's 2020. You can go to the museum, you can go to the library. You can go to the park. You can. You can do all the stuff, the same thing. It's just. I'm not sticking them in the school to be treated as a mule. Right? That's the truth. That's my mindset. I don't care what you think about it. I don't care what anybody thinks about it. Even my closest people that I love the most. I don't care what they think about it. It's me and my life, right? And again, this is the truth is, I think a lot of people are looking for acceptance. A lot of people are looking for acknowledgement, like it's okay to be successful. I don't need anybody to tell me yes or no I'm going to do what I need to do. No more, no less, right? I don't need you to tell me how I'm going to treat my children. I don't need you to tell me how. If I'm going to raise them like this or that. I don't need how I talk or look or what I drive or whatever. You understand? I was wearing pink before it was cool. I was wearing kangals when I had hair. And people still talk shit. And I'm still talking shit today. Been driving Rolls Royces for A long time. Nice watches, big houses and stuff. And you're like, dude, that's wasteful. It's over the top. I don't care. That's. It's me. You know, it's like, I think, you know, if you're looking for someone to tell you you can do something, that that's a bigger problem than it. Than what the reality of the situation is. You got to work on that yourself. No, outside. Hold on one second. Hey, Marcus, my man. Come on, please. Can you put that up? He's cleaning the golf cart. Right on. Brian. Hey. Is setting up a team in Australia and reverse engineering buyers to you. An idea meeting house prices. Yeah, listen, it works everywhere. I mean, right? It's been going on in the world with anything. It's like if you have a buyer pool and you know the seller market, you can put the two together, you wholesale in between, and you make the spread. That's a pretty simple concept to understand. Smart people mess this up. Why? Because they're trying to figure out, how can this be so easy? What am I missing? You know what I mean? That's. That's the truth. I was talking to an engineer yesterday. Yesterday or day before, and I was like, dude, the reason you're not. Oh, there's Ryan. I was talking to him yesterday. He's a very smart guy, intellectually. Super. Way smarter than Mythan I'll ever be. His left eye has more brains than my whole body. Right. So than I'll ever be. So the thing is with that is he over complicates everything. See, I understand velocity of money. I understand my thought process of how I deal with it. Everyone's different here, so I'm not judging it. But for me, a million dollars in my bank today is better than a potential 3 million in 10 years from now with everything going on. Because what happens, you create all the stress. Today, you might not make it tomorrow, you might not make it three years from now. For the hope that I might have money in the future. See, I'm not worried about the fear of loss. Fomo, Right. Fear of missing out or fear of loss. I'm more worried about how am I living today and what is my focus on in the future. So I could do both, by the way. You can do both, have a lot of cash today and plus have a lot of opportunity in the future. But you got to build that bridge for a while. It's going to take some time. It's going to take some energy. It'll take some effort. You got to understand the cost of money. Like, so, for example, if I had a house and he, you know, I was talking to him yesterday, he had a house worth 300 grand. He doesn't owe much on it. I was like, dude, take 150k note on it, pay 1500 bucks a month and have 150k sit in your bank account. Oh, oh, my God. I don't know. I don't know how to compartmentalize that. I don't know if I want to take that much debt. Dude, it's not dead. If you're using it for peace of mind, that's a very powerful tool hunter. Like, if having 150, I'm using 150. Could be 1.5 minutes, could be 15 minutes, whatever the number is. If having money in your account releases that endorphin that gets you. Like, you're in flight mode all the time. Fight and flight. Like, I want to be in peace of mind. I want to be making decisions that are serving me, not making decisions just to survive. Today, it's a way different animal. And I didn't learn this until 10 or 11 years in the game, but understanding just how money works is a real powerful thing. And I spent, by the way, I'll spend two hours today with my fiduciaries and different people I'm working with on some financial stuff. I have zero clue. I get on the. I get on a conference call with them and I ask them questions. And a lot of them would be considered dumb questions, but they're my questions. And I'm not asking just to ask. I'm asking to learn. By the way, there's two different types of people to ask questions, ask wholes, and people ask to learn. They want to ask to be heard, and just that's all they want to do. But I want to ask, listen, and implement. I want to learn. I genuinely want to learn because it's like, I'm curious. I want to know how to have hundreds of millions, if not billions of dollars when I die, to be able to give to amazing charities not only when I die, but also during the process of living. I want to be able to give. I want to be able to support things I care about. I want to be able to build a financial wall around myself and my family and the people I care about. I want to be able to do these kind of things. How do we do it? That's the stuff I'm thinking about all the time. Cool beacon. We have someone on here. What's up, my man?
Hey, Mark, buddy. How are you? My name's Gianni from Australia. I'm investing in the Cleveland area for the last six years, man. And I've dealt with people like Tim Bratz. I know you're close with Tim and a few others in the air, in your circle, and I appreciate everything you do, man. So I head off to you, brother.
That's awesome. And there's a little bit of delay. You're in the Cleveland market for six years. Last six years.
Yeah. Cleveland market, last six years, man, From Australia. So I live in the app, like in the northern, Northern side of Australia. So we're very remote, man. But I took the. I took the leap of faith and started my education and started to build my own portfolio. I told people, you know, what you can achieve in Cleveland in the US will take you five years in what you would do in Australia in 25 years. So I call it 25 and 5. And pretty much, man, like, I always tell people, they always ask me how I'm investing in the U.S. market. And I say, you know, first off, it's the education side of things. It's your, your mentality. And also it's meeting, having good mentors. So you're a mentor to me, man.
Because I always watch a video, it's.
12 o' clock at night now, and I stayed up just to watch as. Appreciate everything you do, brother.
That's awesome, man. Thank you. Congrats. Have we ever done business together with my team in Cleveland? No, man, I haven't.
I haven't reached out to you yet, but my. I'm building up my own little. I'm building my own little network of investors in Australia here, and we're going to come in as well.
I'm.
I'm trying to teach people how to invest in the US to give an opportunity in which I call them, I would say. In Australia, man. So, no, not yet, but I hope to in the future.
Well, hey, listen, if we can help you expedite the learning curve for yourself or for what you're trying to do, we've taught a lot of people over the years. Feel free to reach out to me. Just remind me inside of the chat box or whatever in Facebook, private message, and I could loop you in with people on my team and help you expedite what you're trying to accomplish. I mean, there's definitely a lot of opportunity to collaborate. I'd love to see you grow in that market because there's a lot of opportunity right now for sure, man.
I appreciate it, man. I don't want to take too much of your time and thank you so much. Keep it up. Appreciate it.
Thank you, man. Have a great day, buddy. Thank you for being here. Cool stuff, guys. Thank you. Cool. Thank you, Beacon. So, guys, that's what it's about. I love this stuff. You just never know who's watching or what's going on. And it's awesome to see people from afar. Northern Australia. He's doing deals in Cleveland, Ohio. It's funny to me, there's people. I'll be watching this in Cleveland, Ohio, trying to figure out why they can't do a deal.
It's.
They're in their own way, man. It's. This is all mindset, by the way. Everything I talk about is mindset. You should read the book like psycho cybernetics by Dr. Maxwell Maltz, the Magic of Thinking Big, Think and grow Rich. There's so many books about mindset, understanding, the power of your brain. Mark, do you think if your brain is bigger or smaller, you're better off Bigger? Yeah. Give me five. Get a little brain. Who's got a little brain? You do, but it's growing, right? You're only four and a half. It's getting bigger. So, you know, how cool is it? Like, I can be sitting here in Parkland, Florida. Johnny's hanging out up in Northern Australia, and he's doing deals in my market. We do deals in Cleveland, Ohio. I've been in Cleveland, Ohio many, many years. So, you know, for me, I don't look at stuff like that as competition. I look at it as opportunity to collaborate. Funny thing is, I have a group called the DM Family. We have 33 guys that pay $35,000 a year. I love it. Everyone I pulls out their 35,000. Oh, man. Mark makes over a million dollars with that. Yes, I do. But I work really hard for that. And not only that, dollar for time. It's my least profitable business. And it's not a business to me. It's actually a passion. I love the guys in there. I would do anything for them. Seriously. Not just saying that as a to say it, but I genuinely want to see these guys succeed at many levels. And as I'm growing and developing. Good morning, Drea. You want to say hi, Drea? She's got bad head. Oh, this is a family show right now. Drea bear, say hi. Tell me you're going to be one years old Friday. Look at mommy up there. Say hi. How was your nap? How was your sleep? Good, good sleep. Wanna give your brother kisses? Good. There he goes, all right, cool. But as we built the DM family and the groups I belong, you know, built over the years, you know, there's a large portion of them in Columbus and Cleveland, Ohio. Why? Because at the end of the day, for me, it really is like, how do we help make. Get a piece of the pie and get it. Make the pie bigger. I don't see anybody as competition except myself. I know. Again, it's the me economy. I can only control my actions. That's why I share stuff for free. Why? Well, listening to it and learning it and implementing it are two different things. Learning it, I know it. And it's so hard to implement. It takes time, it takes effort, it takes dedication, takes implementation. Right. But at the end of the day, I could teach you 100 different ways, but if you don't do anything with it, it's pointless. So in the DM family, the separator is the $35,000. And when people pay, they pay attention, right? Please, Come on, man. They pay attention. So it's. There's no accident that everyone that's in the DM family are my most successful clients. They've all paid to be in there at a high number. And it's not like this or that. It's like they get in there. I'm not saying it's always easy. We have moments where some of these guys are getting beat in the. Punched in the face, kicked in the nuts, and bleeding on the mat, but they're still in the game, they're still in the fight. They're going to get up, they're going to grow, they're going to pull from others, they're going to help, they're going to ask for help. They're going to drive it to the next level. See, what I've experienced is people that try to buy a book. And I'm not saying you shouldn't buy books, by the way, because I buy books every day. But when you buy this book, you're like, I'm going to buy this book and become a billionaire. Well, listen, I hope you do number one. But unfortunately, if that was the case, why isn't everyone a billionaire or a millionaire? It's not just about the book. It's about what you do when you read the information from the book. Because a lot of people read this book. And I'm like, oh, marketing. Oh, I've heard marketing before. What's he gonna say about that? Blah, blah, blah, blah. Okay, yeah, that doesn't apply to me. New and approved. Oh, yeah, that doesn't apply to me. Thoughts on thoughts? Oh yeah, I know my thoughts. I'm really good there. I'm good there. Let go of the obstacles. I don't have any obstacles. You know, and they just like they're talking themselves out of opportunity. They're talking to themselves. They think they know everything. The best people to learn, like people that invest with me 35 grand. They always will be the most successful people I know. They always will because they're in the game. They have invested in themselves. See, you understand, it's not even about investing in me. By the way, this is a very powerful conversation. It's not about them giving me 35 grand. It's about them understanding that they're worth $35,000. Has nothing to do with me. Has to do with them. Right? There's a lot of people that have access to 35 grand that would never spend a dime on themselves. A lot. They won't even spend a hundred dollars. The truth is they're bitching and complaining about a $15 book. See, it has nothing to do with what you're trying to get. It has to do with your mindset. What do you really want? And if you're worth 35 grand or 50 grand or 100 grand. You guys know there's people that charge a million dollars for a one day consult, right? Oh my God. Who would ever do that? Stupid. Is it? The question is how do you get to the point where you can pay a million dollars for a one day consult? Because don't you think if you're worth at least a million dollars to yourself, at least that. I could only imagine what you would one would create in that meeting in that consult time. Think about that has nothing to do with the person you're investing. It has to do with you. The person you're investing in is you youu're worth 100 grand. You're worth millions, right? Why aren't you investing in yourself? Why are you investing in cell phones? You're not by the way. Why are you spending money on cell phones and tennis shoes and Gucci belts? Invest in yourself. It will pay off so much bigger. I still invest them. I invest six figures a year in mentors and coaches and consultants. I will never stop. I want to spend millions a year. Because again, millions a year means you're actually doing stuff. I'd love to spend millions a year. The truth is there's not many coaches and consultants out there that have that kind of packages, that kind of offer that big. The biggest one I've ever bought is a hundred thousand dollars for three meetings like I shared with you. And it was, it was. It was. You know, there's some pretty cool people in that room, right? But there's nothing out there that's like a collective. I like connecting, you know, Some of these are very transactional. That's not my. That's not my thing. I'm not transactional. Very connective. I want to connect with you. I want to get to know you. I want to learn about you so I can actually genuinely help you. I don't want to just answer a question to answer a question or try to sell you something. I want to connect. I want to dive deep with you. And that's what it's about. To me. Sometimes that helps as well. And it hurts. Hurts me because if they don't do the work that we talked about, they don't get the results. And I want to help them get results. That's what it's about. Any questions? You guys got any questions? Learn about money. Learn about money. You know the Millionaire. Not Millionaire Next Door. Because I hate that book because I think it's silly. Some of the stuff he says there. What is it called? I see his name. I see the book. The Automatic Millionaire. That's the book. The Automatic Millionaire. It's not my favorite. It's good. Everyone should read it. I've read it. I gave it to my wife to read. I've read it multiple times, actually. I have it on audiobook. Even some of the stuff, it's like. Yes, I've heard it. Just because you heard it doesn't mean you've done anything with it though. FYI, it's all a timing thing, right? Everyone should be reading psycho cybernetics by Dr. Maxwell Maltz. The Magic of Thinking Big by I think. What, Schwartz? David Schwartz or David Something, I believe. Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. These are all great books and will change your life. If you read them and implement what's in these books, it will definitely change your life. The compound effect. I don't know that. I think I've read that forever. Is that an old book? Sounds familiar. The problem with SO compound works on both sides. Compound effect works good when it's compounding in your direction and it also works bad when it's going back. What's my favorite book? All of them. All of them. Laws of Success. There's so many great books. It depends on where you're at. See, again, you're looking to find a solution to something. Understand how many books are out there. But what's your favorite book? Do you like books? I like that white book. Oh, yeah. The theory book. The Magic of Thinking Big. Yeah. Yeah. Mark, does daddy read every night? Yes. Yes. What's that? That's daddy's homework, isn't it? I read one day. You read one day? Yeah. Why do I have to read every day then? I just read. Does reading make you smart? Yeah. Yep. That's cool. Are you gonna be a big reader when you get older? Yeah. You gonna read like Daddy? I am going to be a tired man when I grow up. Okay. That's cool. You can be whatever you want, my man. So. Yeah, I mean, all Laws of Success. Great book. There's so many great books. First book I ever really read after I graduate high school, I never really read a book until I graduate is Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. Right. And then, I mean, I've let. I've read five, six thousand books. I've read a lot, a lot of books. Books that are. I'm not reading, you know, what is it? The 50 shades of gray. That's not my style books. And I'm not reading, you know, James Patterson style things. I'm reading all self help mental books, you know, learning about strategies or tactics or mindset. The truth is, if I had to read any books, it'd all be 100% on mindset. Most of the stuff I've read is mindset, Blue ocean strategy. I mean there's again, there's so many books that are out there right now, but Friday you got to read this one. Magician versus Mule. This is the number one right now. This is all we should be talking about, right? Not only that, tonight you're going to meet Mike that wrote the Prophet first and pumpkin plant, etc. I've read every one of his books multiple times. You should be on this call this live training. Today at 6:30pm Eastern Standard Time. We will be sharing real stuff, no bs. I'm excited to bring him on. He's a very high level guy and I like to hang out with high level people because it makes me smarter. I'm definitely not the smartest guy in any room for that matter. I want to learn. I earn to learn. I really do want to know how to be a better human being all the way around. I don't. I know. I don't know anything, you know what I mean? So I want to be. How am I a better dad? Like so, like that's the kind of books I'd be reading is like if I'm having a challenge to be a better dad. I might want to read how to be a better dad. If I'm having challenges connecting with my wife, might read something about love languages or something to connect with my wife at a higher level. If I'm trying to learn about a real estate tactic, I would be very specific on real estate tactics. To be honest with you guys would be very. Thank you, Mike. I'd be very conscious of. I try to buy time. What I realize is we're all chasing time. We all want more time. Right. You're laying in your deathbed. Do you say, wow, I read 6,000 books. Thank you? No, of course not. Because I'm a slow reader. It takes me a long time to read all these books. But now where I'm at in my life, once I have an idea, I'll grasp the idea. And then I'm seeking the highest level person in that genre and I'm hitting them up to make money. Like, hey, how can I buy your time? You know what I mean? What's up, Clyde? How you been, buddy?
Hey, thanks for inviting me on. I really. I love watching you every morning. You're great with my coffee. Thank you so much. I love your message, man. I love that, you know, that you talk about this business, the lifestyle, you know, I've been in it a long time. I love real estate, you know, and I. I love that when you show the kids, by the way, and. And stuff like that.
So how you been, man? How you been?
Good, you know, but, you know, it's my biggest problem. My life, Mark. I have nothing to complain about. Everything is. I mean, that's awesome. Even with this horrible virus and everything. I'm home all the time anyway. Working.
Yep.
I'm in my Colorado home right now. We left California to escape the virus. It was really bad there.
Yeah.
And, you know, I talk to nice people like you do every day, and I make offers. And how much do you. How much do you focus in. On sales? On the. On the. The sales skills and things like that. I wanted to ask you that.
You know, I. I think sales is a mindset thing too. Right. As you know. You know, I'm a very. The sells. I'm not very hardcore sales guy. I'm more into the conversation, serving of selves as, you know, there's a lot of different ways to do sells. It's like, there's some guys that are really good, like with the words and the way they prop people and push them and grow them and get them to sign the line. And they're like, what just happened? That's definitely not my style. I'm more consultative style selling. So I think we. I mean, as you know, every conversation we have is an opportunity to learn how to get better. And I'm always trying to figure out how to be a better listener, a better learner, you know, like, how can I better guide them and just be more genuine? Like, you know, I'm pretty. My biggest problem is, honestly, I just don't. I need to ask more permission to tell them straight up because I come off a little bold sometimes, so I got to slow it down and say, hey, Claude, do you mind if I just shoot straight with you? Or you want me to cherry coat it? No, just shoot.
Do you want me to lie to you? Tell you the truth?
Yeah, exactly. And so I think it just allows people to let the gate down a little bit, you know, let their guard down so they can actually interpret it, like, not look at me and say, oh, this guy's being a jerk. But like, wow, he's really trying to help me. He cares.
You know, I find that if I do one simple thing, if I make phone calls, if I talk to people, regardless of your sales style or what psychology, your conversational. I used. I like to use a lot of questions and, And I study a lot of psychology, and I just find one simple thing. Do you pick up the damn phone and talk to people every day and make offers every day?
Yeah, it's. It's literally that easy. That's what's crazy to me.
Yeah.
And.
And speak honestly, I. I think too many people are sounding. They sound like they're competition.
They don't. They're.
What you just said before, they're not original. They're. They're not themselves. They're not true.
Yeah, well, you know, that's why I've never been big into scripts. I give like. I'll give a script for like a basic guideline. Thank you. A script. You're not listening to the individual. If you have a script, it's all about you and what you're trying to do. Say, well, what if you say hello and they say hello back? And you say, how can I help you? You know, like, to me, these are skills that you should not have to have a script for.
I love to shock people. When I get on the phone, I might say, first thing, say, hello, Mark.
Hello, Mark.
What the hell happened? Why didn't that beautiful home sell yet?
Yeah, man, listen, I keep getting all these goofy wholesalers calling me, trying to Steal my house. What do you have?
Oh, God. Would you like to talk to one Mark? I'd like to make you an offer today.
Exactly. No, that's the thing is. Is like having these call. I agree, man. I think the number one reason these people are failing on consistent basis in most business, any business, let alone real estate, is they're just not picking up the phone. Yeah. And it's not easy.
How about having fun? You strike me as a guy just. You said the passion word before. That really resonated with me. You love what you do 100%. I'm 67 years old. I could have retired 20 years ago. I. I can't stop. It's an addiction or I love it too much.
Yeah. I mean, what are we gonna stop? You know, for me, if I stop, it's a devil's playground. It's. I get in trouble, man. You know, an idle mind for me is not a good thing. So I do love. You know what I love? I don't necessarily love real estate like I used to. I love the. I love helping people. You know, real estate just happens to be the choice of drug for that moment or whatever. Or cars, houses I'm into. I just want to help an individual. So if you're actually making a call, I think take your. I'm not worried about me making money or not making money. I'm worried about, hey, can I help Claude today? That's my job. And what's interesting, when you take that away, you actually make more money. It's more fun and it's easier. Go figure.
You can have so much fun in this business helping people. But it strikes me that you're not ashamed of what you've accomplished in your life. You don't have to apologize for it. I like that.
Yeah. Well, that and plus, I haven't accomplished anything of what I've set out to do. So some would look at like I've accomplished a lot. You know, Listen, I might celebrate for about 12 seconds and then I'm off. Like, I gotta. If I could do this, I can only imagine what I could do when I really get down and get serious, you know?
Absolutely. I homeschool. We homeschooled our kids too, by the way.
Oh, that's awesome, right?
Yep. And they grew up. This is a funny thing, the colleges. I shouldn't qualify. We shouldn't qualify for college. The colleges gave my kids scholarships, even though you know that. You look at our tax returns and there's not. We shouldn't get a thing. They love homeschool kids.
Yeah, well, you know, I think as, you know, like the structure, you know, we're pretty. You had a structure with homeschooling, but they could work, you know, three, four hours a day and accomplish more than what the average person. Oh, he's at the Pillsbury Doughboy. Mark. He's gonna get you. Say hi to Claude.
You know how lucky you are to have those kids crawl all over you every day.
Oh, dude, I'm very. Yes. It's one of my biggest things. I know. I'm so blessed to have, and I'm.
So jealous of you. I show my kids are in their 20s. I so miss those days when I'm on the phone, I'm working, Daddy's always on the phone, and they're crawling all over me. And thank God we didn't have the cameras and stuff like we did today.
Yeah, no, it's. I know, I know it's a short time, but this is gonna be like. He won't be like, dad, you're weird. Leave me alone. You know, that's coming up in about another 10 years or so.
It's the best life.
No, I'm very excited, man. I'm very fortunate as you are and, you know, we're just lucky to be alive. I think it's. It's awesome to see you. So what are you working on now? What have you been up to? I haven't talked to you forever.
I'm working on. I love sales. I'm very sales centric in real estate, and I think that's kind of the missing link for a lot of well intentioned, hardworking, intelligent people. But you said it before. Getting on the phone, being so confident and comfortable with people. Make an offer. What's the worst that could happen?
Make an offer.
And so I work. I work. I'm working on a new project. I'm the author of Guts and now I'm working on Guts 2.0. A little bit more cycle psychology. Learning how to ask questions with. Without cross examining people, making people comfortable, you know, just getting on. I think we've lost that salesman skill.
Oh, well, I mean, as you know, a lot of these people, because I have salespeople do this. They just text. They're not even. I'm a phone guy. Give me the phone. Pick up the phone. There's no emotion to text. And yes, you can do deals via text. We've done it. But the real reality is there's so much power in getting on the phone and connecting with people and just talking about Amen.
It's like, I'm glad I'm not a. Do you know how two teenagers make out today? I mean, it's.
I took.
I took my girlfriend, now my wife for 34 years to the drive in. Okay, what's the drive in?
Drive ins are booming right now with social distancing, you know.
You know, they're making a big comeback.
I love the drive in movie theaters, man. It's the best times of my life. It was awesome. But no, I think it's. It's great. So what, can people follow you anywhere? Claude, I know you got a website.
Oh, thank you. I didn't come here to plug myself or anything like that. Just Claude Diamond. And they'll find your audience is so intelligent and good looking. They'll find me if they want.
I don't know about. I don't know about either one, but I think they'll find you though.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's great. And I guess I didn't want to monopolize here. I just wanted to thank you. I always enjoy your morning broadcast. They're excellent.
Thank you. Thank you very much. Yeah, I look forward to doing some stuff with you in the future, man. I appreciate you.
Anytime. The door's always open. Thank you, Mark.
Thank you, Claude. Have a great day, buddy. Bye.
Bye.
Bye. Cool stuff. So we're out in Colorado, Australia. We got people everywhere and I appreciate you guys being here. Anybody else speak now or forever hold your peace? I'd love to talk to you if you got a couple minutes. I got six more minutes here of dedicated time. And then like I said, off to the races on another meeting beacon. You can cut him off if you want. Anybody else, we got Paul, Darrell, Michael, anybody that needs help or struggling with something, anxiety. Ryan. What's up, buddy? Sterling. A lot of cool stuff, guys, again today. You know, my anxiety was high and it still is a little bit, but it's always cool, like when, you know, Clyde comes on and, you know, different people. Johnny comes on and just says, hey, what's up? You know, everything you guys do matters. And if you're putting positive out there, it's empowering. Empower. Empowers people. Makes them smile, get you happy. It lets them know, like, hey, someone's watching. Maybe I'm not just doing this just to do it. So don't ever be afraid to share someone's stuff. Feel free to share my stuff, comment on it. You know, if I don't respond to you, it's not because I don't like you. It's maybe one, I didn't see it, maybe two, maybe I just got 3,000 other people I got follow up with prior to that. So just keep doing it. And I think these actions are habits and if I'm following someone, just share content and be a giver and it's so powerful what will happen. There's so many people I work with that I made friends with 20 years ago and I never made a dime with then. Now right now I got deals. I'm going with the guy 20 years later and he's making more money on his money than he's ever made and I'm making money with him on deals that he's never even thought were possible. So you just never know when it's going to happen. I'm not like it doesn't have to happen now or never. It's like, hey, let's start a relationship. Let's connect today and grow from there, you know? So guys, with all this said, just focus on your mindset, build your mindset, keep growing your your thought processes. Keep doing thought audits daily. What are you thankful for as well? Like why am I thankful? I'm thankful you guys are here. I'm thankful I have the Internet, thankful I have my kids. They're healthy. I'm healthy. I'm thankful that I have this finally done and coming out this Friday. Magician vs. Mule this Friday at 12:34. Again, guys, please check out magicianversemule.com. just sign up over there. We're going to be emailing you guys before anybody else. That's how you get on the hot list. Price to us going live with the book at 12:34. So I'll be sharing some cool stuff there with you tonight at 6:30pm Eastern Standard Time with my boy Mike. With Profit first and what to do next. He's going to be here to help share with you guys some cool stuff. So hope you guys are doing amazing. Get over to Magician versus Mule. Calm. How do you overcome laziness and procrastination, Sterling? I have no clue, my man. I'm not trying to be a dick. I really don't have a clue. I don't have those problems in any way, shape or form. You know what I mean? So I'm not saying it to be silly. I just, I don't, I don't know the answer because I don't have the issue and I've never had to solve it. Procrastination, maybe it's just what are you procrastinating? Well, to me it's laziness. It's not procrastination. So you got to find something that drives you, you know? So the way I would think about it is you don't have big goals. You don't have a support team around you, guiding you and pushing you. I can't be lazy. I got two kids I want to take care of and I love and I want them to watch their dad be a badass, not a lazy ass. I got a wife that I want to lead and be a great provider for. And I don't want to be the piece of shit husband that can't take her dad, her, take her out to eat. I want to be the amazing son that can help my mom and dad do whatever they want to do. If they get sick, I can make sure they get taken care of. If they have to get into a new house, I can make that happen with a drop of a hat. Like, I want to be a fucking man. That's what I want to be for real. And I'm just being straight with you. So. And I'm talking man to man to you right now. If you're lazy, procrastinator, get your shit together and get real serious because you're not going to live forever and there's people watching you. You're better than that. And that's straight talk. And I'm talking to my. My son's right here beside me. He knows dad's not messing around. I promise you that. You know what I mean? And I'm serious, guys. Don't be, don't be sleeping on this. You're better than that. You don't need anybody's permission to be bad. A badass, I should say. You don't need anybody's permission. You got your own. You say you can do it, go do it. You got to set goals. You stick to them, build your confidence up. Say you're getting up at 4:44. Get up a 4:44. Say you're getting. You're going to get. You're going to work out at 5 o'. Clock, work out at 5 o'. Clock. Say you're going to eat right today. Eat 100% right today. And as you keep doing these things inch by inch, it starts growing and becoming your norm. And then your norm becomes a bigger norm, et cetera, right? Sitting in a factory watching this. It's awesome, man. Ryan, I appreciate that, buddy. Listen, I've been in a factory. I'll do whatever I have to do to make sure I can provide for the people I care about the most. And I promise you I will push, I will prod, I will sleep less, I will work harder, and I will work smarter. And I will realize that I'm just getting started. And I know all of us watching this want the best for all, for ourselves and for the people we care about most. If not, you wouldn't be here right now. You wouldn't be listening to me at all. You think you're better than that? You're not. None of us are. I'm learning as I see these comments coming in. I'm learning. I'm growing. I'm paying attention. My son's sitting here side by side. They're watching. I did a show about this on my podcast show making of a DM on iTunes. You know, they're. They're listening. They're paying attention. You should watch it. You should listen to that episode and all of them, for that matter. But it's a real episode and it's powerful and it's, you know, it's emotional because it's real. You follow me? So, guys, I appreciate you being here. I'll see you tonight at 6:30pm Bob, you want to tell them bye? Tell them to get the book. Friday, right? Friday, 1234. But you still in your pajamas. Yes. That's it. That's it. Knuckle sandwich. All right, guys, appreciate you being here. Happy Wednesday. I'll see you guys tonight, 6:30pM Eastern Standard Time. Get over to magicianversemule. Com. Peace.
