Cigars and Coffee w/ TheDM (Feat. Mike from CEO Warrior)

Mike Agugliaro grew a service company to $32M and 200 employees before selling to private equity, then founded CEO Warrior to help trades owners shift from operator to CEO. He emphasizes treating people as investments, becoming the "cheese maker" who creates opportunity, and using education-first marketing to recruit and scale.

We are live now, by the way, guys.
All right, cool. You ready to go now, Mike?
I'm good.
Awesome, buddy. Hey, guys, it's your boy Mark Evans, dm, here on coffee and cigars at the dm. Anyways, today I got a special guest. It's pretty cool how the universe works. I've known Mike for a while now through a mastermind group, actually. We met back in the day. We did a couple real estate deals. He has a great company he's got. He sold probably what, two years ago, Mike?
Two and a half. Yeah.
Yeah. It's crazy. It seems like craziness. I'd love to talk to that. But guys, if you're in the tradesman business, he has a great website and company called CEO Warrior. We're going to talk about that today. CEO Warrior.com. he's got a lot of neat things. He's very smart, way smarter than I'll ever be. Very structured way his mind thinks. Has built a real company as well. So it's not some guy that's been Internet first and then said he built a company through the Internet, so. Well, at least I don't think. No, I'm just joking. He's got some amazing stuff and he writes a book a day, literally, I think over there and with him and Aaron, but a lot of cool stuff, guys. So, Mike, welcome to the cigars and coffee with the DM man. How you doing?
Good, thanks. Honored to be here. I don't. I was saying last night to Aaron, a mutual friend of ours, I was like, well, I don't smoke cigars and I don't drink coffee, but I have my, my green drink here, so I hope that counts.
That's. I really don't drink coffee myself actually. It's kind of funny. It's just. But it'd be kind of weird if it was like cigars and bang. Energy drinkers or whatever. Whatever else I would drink.
That's right.
You know, I'm excited to have you here. I mean, we got, obviously we got this whole lockdown situation. You and I have not talked prior to this. So, you know, I'd like to know you're in the tradesman world. Like, can you real quick give a quick synopsis of what you do and so people can kind of understand where we're coming from.
Yeah. I'll give you the lightning speed one if you go back to 1994. I started in the trade, started a business with a partner of mine as an electrician. So I drove in a truck and fixed people's electrical stuff that broke. And I did that wrong for about 12 years, just me and him in a truck. I didn't know how to hire, I didn't know how to do processes, systems, marketing. Eventually we decided at that 12 years later he was going to quit because he couldn't take it no more. And I said, what if we just hire really, really smart people that know more than us and we learned from them. So, so now fast forward. We hired and spent a lot of money that we did not have on really smart people. And we went from under a million to over 32 million in a 10 year period. And in the state of New Jersey, I had 200 employees, 165 trucks. We did plumbing, heating, coolant, electric, drain cleaning. One day bathroom solutions. We became the Dominator Mark. Not only in New Jersey, but we became, we became known in most of the the globe. People wanted to come and see us. Six years ago, I got tired of seeing all my friends struggling. I don't, I'm sure it's same with you. You talk to some of your friends and you're like, they're like, how you doing? And you're like, I'm doing great. Business is great. And they're like, oh, I'm failing. I'm not doing good. And I was like, like. So I started to be afraid to share like my what was going good. And my partner and I, we had a $32 million business running by itself. We didn't have an office in the building. And I said to him, I said, I'm tired of hanging out with our friends. And they're, they're doing crappy and we're doing amazing. And I said, why don't we go teach this industry? Why don't we flip the industry on its head? Why don't we show the world what the industry could be? And that's how CEO Warrior was created six years ago. And then I sold, two and a half years ago, I sold the service company to a $40 billion private equity company. And we could talk a little bit about that if you want.
Yeah. No, man, it's awesome. I think the biggest thing is, what we're really talking about is you really stopped being an owner operator and became a CEO, like a business owner. And I see, because I grew up in that world of where everyone's a tradesman, they're doing siding, windows, carpentry, you know, anything. Tradesmen work, everyone's out in the field and if they don't do the work, it's not going to get done the right way, you know, and all this thought process. So it's like, well, what if you soped it out and it got done better and it got done more consistently and it got. And it got done without you doing it. Just what if? So I think you've really shared and shined the light on a lot of people to, like, help them become better business. Like, become a real business owner. Because a lot of people say, oh, I own a business. Well, the business actually owns you. Right? We've all been there. We've all been there.
And I think, Mark, what. What happened was through this last six years, which actually I was helping people longer than six years. It's probably about nine years, but for about three years, I was helping people. And, like, I wasn't telling anybody. I wasn't in the public. And then my fingerprints are on some of the largest service companies in the world today. And then. But they were giving other people credit. Like, they didn't want to share me in the front. And. But through all these years of helping people, you're. You're 100% right. Like, you got to take someone who's just somebody who acts like they own a business. You have to create them into an owner. But. But the next part, I learned that there was an evolution above that, and if I could get there quicker, I could get greater success. And I. Because they used to say, oh, you know, you got to be a business owner. I said, what about if you just adopted thinking as a wealth investor? What if. What if you just put on the hat of a wealth investor and they walked into your company? What would they say to you? And most people say, well, they would say, burn this thing. Or this thing is. This thing's a dog. And I said, but what if you woke up and every day you said, and. And you know this because I've done investments with you. What if your house. You said, oh, my house, it's an investment. And what if your car was an investment? What if your business was an investment? And what if your people that work with you and your vendors are investment. What if your relationships like this are investments? And you really treated it with that wealth investor mindset? I believe, like, everything would flip in your paradigm with one different way of thinking.
No, dude, I love it. I think it really is important is like, it changes the mindset of. I talk about magician versus the mule. Really what it is. I mean, our brain is programmed as mules, right? That's our whole life. Mule it out, Mule it out. Like, the problem is too in the service based business, there's a lot of guys that could be at the 800 to a million dollar range and they're doing everything themselves. And if they just shifted what you said. And not only that too, they're very transactional. You know, there's no, there's no CRM management there. It's literally like paper pad. You know, besides the three packs of cigarettes. Grab the people. Okay. Yeah, call Nancy. Oh shit. We're supposed to be at Steve's house today. Right now, like it's massive chaos. And if they can figure out how to harness, like you said this, everything's an investment. When you and I market, we spend a thousand dollars. What's the roi? Our relationships, there's an intrinsic investment. We don't know what it's going to be, but we know if we do the right thing, work really hard, have communication and help each other, there's gonna be something that comes about from it. We don't know when or where or how, or maybe it's not even with you, but maybe someone you know. Right. These are all like, like human capital, you know, capital investments in humans. Like we're all doing this, we're doing this with businesses, we're doing this with our, your team too, right, Mike?
Yeah. And you know, it's interesting, you say mindset and I, I have some analogies I'll, I'll share throughout this that I think could really flip people in, in the way they think about things. See, mindset is only one piece, but it's actually not the first piece that everybody wants. Everybody, what they, they say, you know, just, just be positive, have a mindset. And I said, no, what you really want is you want mind growth. And then once you have mind growth, then you want to anchor it with mindset. Because I tell people, like, why would you want your mindset? If you pour concrete in the ground it sets, it means your mind. I believe the world, a lot of parts of the world, they said, oh, mindset, mindset. And they want your mindset. They don't want you to be a thinker people, I don't think a lot of people want everybody to be ultra successful. But if you can consider mind growth, and then when you consider mind growth, I just learned how to, how to fast cut this thing and I was just, Mark, I'm no different than anybody else that will watch this to the world. I think the only difference is I was brave enough to take a credit card and invest in people that were smarter than me when I did not. When I was two guys in the truck, me and my partner. And I'll tell you what, I don't even know how amex let me put that much money on a credit card. But I believe when you do that whole, you know, the burning of the boats thing, it's kind of like when you're at a point you're so fed up, you're so done that you'll force success, and success becomes a mandatory target. Instead of this optional story. Can I share something real quick with you?
Please do.
So I was talking to my clients the other day, and I used to give out the book. And if any of you have not read the book, you should read the book. It's called who Moved My Cheese?
Yes.
And who Moved My Cheese Is an amazing book. And a short synopsis of it is that, you know, you have this cheese, which is. Could be your business, like today. And you kept going there every day thinking the cheese would never go away. And. But then one day the cheese is gone, and one person keeps going back to the same cheese, and they're. They're hoping that's going to fall from the sky. The other person, they go and they go on a quest and they find new cheese. But then I solve something just this year, Mark, think it through this. I said, you know, the, the problem about that book that they don't tell you is the most important one of all. They don't tell you. The key is not to find new cheese. The key is to be the cheese maker.
Yeah, there you go.
The cheese maker never runs out of cheese. He just goes over here and says, let me make some cheese. And for everybody watching the metaphor of cheese can be your business. It could be success, it could be wealth, it could be relationship, whatever it is. But the cheesemaker goes, you know what? I'll just go make some more success. And that's why when this, this whole. It's funny, I have this thing that I've been posting to help my clients recruit. We have recruiting ads in every state in the United States. And I think outside the United States, it's called My Next Dream Job Dot com. And I watched the video that I put on that. I put it on there a year ago, and I watched the video yesterday and I said, holy crap, I'm talking about like, almost like the situation today was a year ago. See, that's why. And Mark, you know this. When you surround yourself with people, I don't think anybody thought pandemic. But if you didn't think something was going to happen, this Year in an election year with a fist fight with a guy like Trump, you might as well thought this is the greatest fight in the octagon ever going to happen in the year 2020. I mean, who was actually sitting here going, you know what 2020 is going to be? So come on, you had to know something. Some kind of fist fight was going to happen this year. The pandemic was just the most interesting fist fight they could throw at us, you know?
Yeah, no man surrounding yourself around the people. So you said a lot. Like, what was the link you mentioned about where people for this ad?
My next dream job dot com.
My next dream job dot com. So I'm assuming I haven't seen it, but I'm assuming it's you shooting a video saying, hey, blah, blah, blah, blah blah blah, boom. If this sounds apply below. Yeah, something like that. So very good piece. Kind of like this is like a licensing thing or something.
No, it's actually what I did. So with CEO Warrior, right. We work with service companies now we work in over 21 different industries. It used to be plumbing, heating, cooling, electric drinking. That's what it is. Now we're in pest control, we're in remodeling, we're in drain, we're in appliance repair, we're in, you know, anything. Carpet cleaning indoors, anything. Irrigation. Because what I found out is, you know, first off, we help people we work with learn how to bring other trades. Because if you look today, Mark, if you're a one trade company, that theory of being niche in one thing is it used to be perfect.
Yeah.
Today you go to Walmart, you think if they were niched and only sold the eggs, Walmart would be as big. No, no. People, they are moving at the speed of light. Maybe not now that they're locked in, but people want to go where it's so convenient. Look at Amazon, like super convenient. Go there, push a button, buy stuff shows up at your door. So like what we work on in the service industry is like we want to tell people, here's, here's formula. But some of them, Mark, they're just not good enough to solve. So I said, screw it, you know what, I'll, I'll, recruit for you and I'll just hand you it because I'm an ultra marketer and I need to teach you that. But I got no time for you. So when you said a company to get to a million dollars, we have companies last year that added $8 million in a year. You know, because you know, when you know the formula. And it's not a one size fits all. When you know the formula of marketing and sales and operations and systems and leadership, you put the formula in, man. It makes cheese. If you're the cheese maker.
Yep. It reminds me of that TV show, how it's made. I could watch that show all day. Like, yeah, that's what you're doing. You're the machine making to. I mean, it's like, how can I crank them out? Right. And the thing is, is we're adding humans in this whole situation. This mind growth thing you're talking about, it really is as simple as shifting the mind growth thought process. Right?
Yeah.
Everything you and I look at, it's like, what's the investment in, out? And it's not, by the way, we're not just looking for roi, we're looking for return on efforts as well.
Right.
Like all of our efforts are not created equal. Dude, I could sweep this floor. I could have my garage as clean as it could be. That does not mean I'm getting more successful. Might make me feel good, might make me feel like I worked really hard, but like I could have paid someone $50 while I went out and made SOP. By the way, people are asking what that is. Systems operations procedure manuals. But like I could, I could have spent time building that. But it's not fun, it's not sexy, it's not cool, you know, and what you're doing is in essence, you're handing people a playbook. Right. I mean, that's kind of what you're doing.
Yeah. And, and you know, I love that you say because return on investment is important. I think a lot of people today, they, they feel like the investment needs to be right this second, right now. And that's not, that's not an investor. That's normally, that's normally somebody who's not very educated in business. You know, when someone goes and they're going to build the TGI Fridays or Wendy's, they don't say, man, I better get all my return back in, in a week. So, so one thing is cool or important for you guys to know is, yeah, return on investment. The next thing is rot. Return on time. Some things you want a quick investment. Some things. Most of the big investors are people that really are wealth minded. They're like, okay, this is a three year, this is a five year. And then the last one is our ros, which is return on scalability. So my effort today, like now somebody who's watching this, I don't know how many are on or how many will watch it? I would be watching this saying, okay, what's my return on investment? Boom. I just got that. I'm going to think different about mine. Growth. I'm going to be the cheese maker. I'm going to be wealth minded. Okay, this was great. Okay, so what is my return on time? Crap. I'm here for less than 30 minutes. Listen to this thing or an hour, and I got a concept that changes my paradigm for the rest of my life. Return scalability. I'm going to go and I'm going to get all my team, my employees, my family to be the cheese maker, to think mind growth. Now, the scalability of this one episode right here alone, shifting your paradigm is what is. If you ask anybody, there is a moment in time. All grades, doesn't matter what size, there's a moment in time. They said, you know what? That changed the way I thought forever. And that was, that was the catalyst forward. Now the cool thing about this year, look, this is a slingshot. This is the greatest slingshot about to happen in history. Now some timing matters, like the next, the next three weeks are critical. But this has been pulling back like a slingshot and it's holding now. It's holding and it's not going to rifle forward at one. It's going to go incremental. So as soon as they leak people back into the world, it's going to slingshot. It's the greatest time. I was telling my wife a couple weeks ago, I said, you know what? Anybody who's going to open a business right now is the greatest time in history. Let me make my point and I'll hand it back over. Mark, if you're, if you always wanted to own your own dental practice, get the building today and get it ready. Because as soon as the slingshot moves forward, you're never, you're my dentist. Like, if someone has a plumbing problem, they're mad. If you can't get there in an hour, I call my dentist, I say, my tooth feels like it's going to fall out. He says, I'll see you in three weeks. So you open a dental practice that your dentist will not be able to keep up on the demand and maybe he's at retirement. You literally start marketing now. The slingshot moves forward. You, you'll, if you own the dental practice, you'll literally have multi, multi million dollar practice overnight. When this moves forward, if everybody could just pull the veil of doom, gloom and fear, just pull it back a minute and open your Eyes and look. And guess what? A lot of people may be watching. Like, I'm an introvert by nature. This doesn't affect me at all. This is like a gift, you know.
I feel normal now. I feel normal now.
Yeah, yeah.
No, man, I think so. Like, you're dealing with a lot of people in your CEO warrior. You're kind of like, you know, you're talking to these people. Your team is one thing you did mention is the scalability piece. I always talk about one to many, you know, because you and I now, where we're at, we're in the roles where if we talk once, I. E. Right now, this is gonna get heard by many people, as opposed if we shut ourself in the office and talk one on one. It's cool to do that. I'm not saying there's not a place in time, but as you start scaling and growing now, we're asking how can. How can my voice be heard by more people? I. E. Podcast shows, writing books, you know, doing trainings, doing videos and all. Everything. It's so easy now compared to 94, 96 when I started. I mean, it's. It's a different animal. Amazing, amazing gifts that you guys have, if you realize it or not. But on your side, what kind of urgency calls is the service industries? What are you seeing? Because we had a guy on a couple days ago, a pretty big plumbing company, he just hit his million dollar mark. He's talking about getting staff, getting one tied in there. The culture. Actually, the guy I recommended to go to you, tightening culture and all that stuff.
What are you seeing?
Are they freaking out? Are they making money? Are they stuck in the house? Like, if you watch the news, you think everybody's, you know, the world's dead and no one has plumbing problems now. Actually, they probably have more plumbing problems because they're all at home flushing the toilets, right? Yeah.
Yeah. You know, first off, we've been preparing our clients. We work with hundreds of service companies all over the United States, Australia, Canada, New Zealand. And so we've been preparing them since last year. Something's coming. So. So they've been optimizing their processes, they've been building their marketing their culture. We. Me being a martial artist for 35 years, I've been telling people like, we trained for this exact situation. So our clients are running business. Actually, they're having their greatest first quarter in history, which is like, great. I'm like, holy crap, this is amazing. We got people that are banging numbers, putting in numbers and Let me share why? See, first. And you know what, Mark? There's as many service companies with their head in the sand as there are that can't keep up with the momentum now because people are home. And when people are home, they see stuff that's broken and they break stuff. So that's the first thing. The second thing is I think it's a big mistake. Everybody in the world that's going out there saying, oh man, I'm going to, you know, people are having money problems. I have a different thinking about this. You canceled your wedding, you canceled your vacation. You didn't go flying. You have more money in your bank than you've ever had in history. You stopped your frivolous spending, that you were buying stuff. You stopped going to the store three days a week. You stopped a lot of, maybe some of your online orders. I think what they're doing by giving people free money is they're just making them richer because they had more money. So they might as well fix stuff. So we've been just so, you know, as soon as the slightest leak of China pullback might come here, we started telling our people, get prepared, make sure you're ready, understand your systems in place. And, and then we went into recovery mode for these guys immediately. We started doing every morning, two hour meetings with them.
Wow.
Getting their culture aligned, explaining to their people, the, the paralysis about what fear really does to somebody and what, I mean, look, come on, the facts are the facts. This is a bad thing and people are dying. That's horrible. But if you look at the charts, fast food has been killing a lot more people and we didn't do nothing. The flu has killed a lot of people and nobody wore a mask. I mean, what about the, the attention to the, the vets that been. Been the, the suicide rate and vets and, and not enough people pay attention to that. And you're sitting here and we're treating this like the end of the world. I, I'm not going to buy the end of the world we're going to save. Now the other thing, Mark, that we made clear to our clients is guess what? Yeah. Okay. If you're afraid, stay home, don't go serve anybody. But let me tell you what will happen. Carbon monoxide kills people. And if someone has a backup of crap in their basement of two foot, well, the mold, the bacteria, that's worse than any virus that's out there right now. And that's why my pet peeve that I've been doing on social media as much as I can is I Get it? The doctors, the nurses, first responders. I appreciate all of you. If you're watching this, you're one of them. But let me give you the first responder that's always shoved under the damn carpet. No one gives a hug to. It's the plumbers, electricians, the H Vac, because guess what? If they go away, you're. I always tell people, mark this. If you got rid of the plumbers, the H Vac and the electricians, here's what you would have. You would have a really dark place. It would be too cold or too hot and it would smell like crap.
Okay?
And so these. Not that the other people are not heroes. I think everybody watching this, go on today and thank your plumber, thank your electrician, thank your H Vac guy because he's making sure the house that you might be stuck in is comfortable and safe. And he doesn't, he doesn't have hospital grade ventilation when he goes into your house. He doesn't have every type of sterilization. He can't go in your house, you and wear all the garb like you're going to do surgery, but he's still going to go in your house to protect you and serve your family. I think everybody today, don't honor me. Honor the blue collar guy who. And I consider myself one of them because that's how I started. Honor that guy who's out there in a truck driving all over. So there's my rant on that.
No, I love it. Not only that, listen, you're putting good in the world. Call your plumber, call your electrician. First of all, they're going to say, hey, do you want me to stop by CVS and get you some meds? Because you're talking crazy over there telling me thank you. But guess what happened. Next time you actually really need them, you're first on the list.
Right?
So I think too, Mike, in one of my other companies, I literally, as soon as I heard wind of any of this, I instantly did live videos with all my teams because we're all virtual anyways. And I did like 30 to 45 minute calls. Like, we are very solid with cash. We are not going anywhere. We're actually going to expand. I've told you this is coming. Now is the time to shine, you know, like just really planting those real seeds. And it's. And by the way, I did it once and then I kind of. We talked about it, but I wasn't really, you know, spearheading it weekly.
Yeah.
Third week, boom. One of the girls hits our director up and she's like, hey, do I still have a job? Is this going away? My boyfriend just got laid off. And this. I'm like, she's on the front line. She sees we're busier than we've ever been, and she's doubting because of fear. And I'm like, shut the news off.
Get serious.
We're still like, guys, we just hired three people. How are we going out? Like, you know, so it's like us as leaders, we have to be constantly fighting a narrative of fear. It's a real thing, guys. This is real. And I don't agree what's happening, but, you know, this is reality to people. You know, it's. It's not real for us, but, you.
Know, and it's leadership. Look, in the trades, actually, a couple gifts have been handed to those that have been growing and know what to do. Because one of the biggest things you hear in the tradesmark is there's not enough people. We have an abundance of people now because so many companies have literally stopped. And I've been telling people, I've been telling my clients, I've been telling them now for months and months. I said, when this thing comes, don't you dare act like this is a snow day and you're five years old again. Because I'm watching the world go home and the government's like, oh, let me. Some of them are making more money than they did. Let me give you a check. And act like it's snow day. But there's consequences to snow days. You see, the consequence to a snow day is the school year gets extended. Okay? So if anybody's out there, you know, I was driving around with my wife weeks ago, hiring, hiring, hiring today. Yeah, but there's. There's these people like, oh, I made $20 an hour. I'm not gonna go work for 17. Look, when the pendulum is swinging, the worst thing anybody, anybody in, in human right now wants to do is stop the momentum of the pendulum swinging. If you're successful. Well, first off, if you chose to be home, okay, fine, then you better be training your mind, your body, your spirit. You better be building something. Because if you're not investing in your damn career. Well, when this all goes back, you think the companies are going to be like, oh, you're first the pool of people now the competitive nature of getting an opportunity is going to be like. And you hear it. I mean, if you go back and mark, you're. You're like me. You know, guys, that have been in this game for a while. Like I've been through the Y2K. I've been through the 9, 11, I've been through the 2008, what they considered as close to the Great Depression. I've been trained through this stuff. These people and, and a pet peeve of my mark is all these people on the Internet trying to teach people what to do. I'm like listen here little 25 year old, like you haven't even been through anything yet. Be careful what you're telling people to do. Maybe the wisdom from his family, but most of them don't. And, and good information is only good if it's at the right time, the right place and heard the right way. Because a great idea done at the wrong time could be devastating to, to a company today. And look, this is, this is for guys like me and you. This has been a time to sit here and go holy crap, this is the greatest alignment in history. Now don't get me wrong, I, I'm, I got my own pet peeves about this is the, I would call it the almost like the emergent of more conspiracies than ever before. And I'm not going to tell you I don't believe in a bunch of them. I'm not even going to go there. But I'm going to tell you, unlike any other time in history, you have the unveiling of more craziness. But guess what? Magic is a, is a great thing. And you could be your own magician. See why they're doing their crazy magic trick. You're building success, but nobody's watching you now. So you get to build it as big and fast as you want. No one's. No. See before whatever industry you're in, you build success. Every one of your competitors, everybody's watching what you're doing. They're so confused. You're over here just building your company, making magic. And that's what I told Mark. One day in New Jersey. Everybody that did what I did woke up and I said it was like a stealth bomber. By the time you noticed us, it was way too late. We had 165 trucks on the road. You woke up one day and said, where did they come from? We were buying 22 and sometimes more than 22 trucks a year. We couldn't even keep up. You know, one year, the biggest year I did, we added six and a half million. The biggest month was three and a half million. And, and you know what? Everybody's watching this. I'm no different than you Mark's no different than you. The only difference is we're willing to educate, we're willing to take massive action, and we're willing to stay in the game no matter what. We're not stepping back and, and we're not sitting in the bleachers going, well, let me just wait and see how this, this super bowl ends. You're like, no, no, let me get out there, I'm going to grab the ball and I'm going to run. And this is a trust me. And I agree, Mark. Shut. Shut the programming. Look, if you want to know the news, and I heard someone say it the other day, and I heard it in a different way, Mark, and I probably heard it before, but you know, it's that one moment they said, look, if you want to know what the news is doing, it's like television. The tela is giving you your vision to believe. And as a kid, you brought up and your father used to say, where's the program?
Yep.
And the program was, what's happening? You're being programmed by that stuff. Don't program your own mind for success. And I've been telling everybody, Mark, because you asked about this. What are some things you told your people? I said, guard your mind like you're guarding your children. Guard your mind like you're guarding your children. Don't let anything in there. Don't let a seed that you don't want to grow. And you know, Dean Jackson, I love. I don't know if he invented it, but I heard him say it. You know, the best time to grow an oak tree and let's just call it an oak tree of wealth was 25 years ago. Or today. Or today right now.
Exactly.
Man.
I think the biggest thing is, is like, Mike, what we're seeing is a lot of people are using this time as an excuse. Like, you and I look for reasons to keep going. A lot of people are looking for a reason to stop. An excuse like, oh, I can't do it. The world's coming to an end. Oh, I can't do it. I don't have enough time. I don't. And we're thinking, if I can just get one more minute, if I could just get one. One inch better, if I could just get one more. No, today takes one less. No, tomorrow, like, you know, it's like, it's a mindset. It's an investing in our. In our. What else are you going to. I don't know what else people do all day leading.
How are you? What are you demonstrating to your children. It's funny. My son. My son is going to be 21. My daughter is 18. And my son, every night he goes, what are you doing tomorrow? And I said, oh, I got calls. I'm going to be doing webinars. I'm going to be training clients. I'm going to be building some things. And like, every night it's the same thing. For him, it's like, life is pretty normal. Minus. We gotta, you know, follow some rules here because, like, every. Every one of you that have children, especially if you're home and maybe you're laid off. Yeah, that sucks. You better show your children what energy and effort and success looks like, because this is the modeling for the future.
Yep.
And guess what? For anybody that's watching this, if you're really good at what you do, if you're good at sales or telemarketing or anything, hit me up. There's a good chance I have a position. I hope you don't mind. I recruit real quick.
Mark, listen, that's why we're here recruiting to hit me up.
Because there's a good chance that I have an opportunity or I know somebody that might be looking for somebody who's skilled in marketing, skilled in sales, skilled in plumbing or H vac, you know, because look, there is now. Now's a great time to get a job and work really, really hard and make a great life, you know?
No, I agree, man. I always talk about. They're watching. They are. Everybody, including your kids. Like, you know, I have a little four and a half year old boy, I walk by my wife, hit her on the butt, three seconds later, he's right behind her head on the butt, you know, with our words, with our actions or lack of actions, all this stuff does matter. And I think if you're training or programming your children to use, you know, this moment as an excuse, like you said, create a snow day mentality, you know, Netflix and watch all this stuff. Listen, go watch tv, do whatever you want. But, like, know that you have to grow, you have to expand, you have to develop, you have to. You have to know your worth. And like you said, you have more money in the bank you probably ever had right now because you're not out getting wasted on the weekends or Thursday nights. That's the best night. You're not escaping your reality, Mike. What I'm seeing, too, honestly, I think. I think people's insecurities are rising. The truth is, us as entrepreneurs, we have. If you're going to be a successful entrepreneur, you have to be very real with yourself all the time. I suck at this. I'm not good here. I'm not like. So we're kind of like, in our head constantly telling us what we're not good at. A lot of people fake it, like, oh, I'm good because I Louis Vuitton belt on. Oh, I'm real good because I got the new iPhone, whatever. So I see insecurities. I see it around me of people that I know. Like, their insecurities are heightened. They're picking fights where fights aren't even said, even a fight. It's because they're like, oh, my God. They don't know what, like, our brains are, like, looking for the problem, not the solution.
Yeah. And, you know, social media is. Is a gift and a curse. The gift is. It's a marketing vehicle that is just amazing. And it's an information vehicle. Just. You could just watch. And it's today's newspaper. If you look at it that way, the problem side of things is it's created more anxiety and pressure and depression than anything. And let me make my case. What happens is we have what's called the comparison effect. The comparison effect used to be, if you go back 100 years ago, it used to be you just looking at your neighbor saying he's got a bigger, better horse and buggy or something, right? Today you go on and. And you're sitting in your house, you got two kids. They're going crazy. They just. They just tore the couch up. And you see your friend on there and your friends in a mansion. You know, your friend has a big fancy car. Your friend is outside cooking burgers and opened up the pool. You look in your backyard, and you got weeds. And so all of a sudden, instead of being appreciative, which is another thing I would ask everybody to do consider doing today, is don't look at somebody and judge them. Why don't you say, good job? That's. I say it and really care. It's so interesting because in the entrepreneur world, Mark, you know, there's two types of entrepreneurs. Like, when I come across to be on here, like, and to talk with you, because we've been friends so long, I'm like, oh, my God, I'm so glad to see you. I hope you're doing amazing. I watch your family. I see the pictures. I love your beautiful family. I watch them. And so for me, I'm like, man, so great job. It's. Keep going, man. But there's the other entrepreneur that's like, oh, look at you. And you know, I don't have that, or I'm struggling. And the more you can appreciate other people's successes. And guess what? Some of it. And I won't mention the names, some of the biggest gurus out there today, man, the veil was taken off, and they just weren't ready for this now, were they? Now they're telling their people, well, I'm not going to give you the check you were going to get. I'm not. You know, now all of a sudden, oh, you know, the biggest. The biggest person on the pedestal you found out was nothing more than made out of clay and stone, you know, and so don't look at that out there. If you were to say, mark, you know what, Mike, what's your biggest fear today? I'll give you my biggest fear. My biggest fear today is that I believe that with this, they're talking about giving people money. They're not talking about some of the things about, like, you know, abusive behaviors. They're not talking about drugs and alcohol. They're not talking about, you know, they're not talking about mental illness and stuff and situations like this. Ramp that up. And that's got me concerned. It got really concerned when they said, we're gonna close the park, but we're gonna leave the. The alcohol stores open.
Yeah.
And I said to myself, like, what a way to spiral someone who's trying to keep themselves sane in. In. In. In a little bit of insanity. And that's my. My real concern, Rayte. And, you know, and I don't know, I. I'll ask permission, and you could say no, but, you know, like, Joe Polish is really. He's. He's really good in this. And he has an. A place that can help people like that. A charity. Is it okay to say it, or.
Sure, absolutely. Yes.
Yeah. So he has a charity that. It's called Genius Recovery. And if you. I think it's geniusrecovery.com if you guys go check it out. He's in the entrepreneur world. I believe he's doing the best out of everyone because it's close to his heart and he's. He's dealt with this, you know, for himself. But this is my concern. So all of you that are thinking it's a snow day, check in on a buddy, check in on a friend, let somebody out there know if you're feeling a little lonely or something. Like, hey, sometimes people just need to vent. You don't tell them what to do. No one wants to be pointed at. No one Wants to be told, they just. Just ask them a simple thing. And I use this a lot, Mark. I say, when you're going to share something with someone, just say, hey, maybe consider this. I'm not forcing you. I'm not one to ever tell you, you must market this way. You must invest this way. Consider this. And here's why The. The consideration. And that's my. That's my biggest fear right now. The world opens up and everybody goes back to the beach and life. But we forget that there's a lot of people that have been struggling and everybody could be a part. Look, I told the service guys, my guys, I call my guys because they're the warriors. I told the warriors, if we have to hold this economy up all by ourselves, we will do it. We will hold this economy up by ourselves. We will not bow down. We will not fall down. We will. We will do it until our knees snap. And if everybody could just say, I'm gonna hold the economy up. I'm gonna force the economy up. The economy will stay up if everybody keeps treating it like snow day. And it doesn't mean you're not going to win. I never. Through 2008 and all those bad years, the least amount I added to my company was a million dollars more a year in revenue. That was the least. I never. I never had a down year in my entire life. And I'm not bragging to people. I'm just saying there's formulas. But if everybody pushes up on the economy, everybody gets to work, everybody learns, everybody. Guess what? Yep. This won't be. This will just be another experience that you'll talk about in your future. Yeah.
Not only that, Mike, I think right now, I mean, we all realize we're living in history in the making. It's happening. This is either.
Oh, yeah.
You don't want to be one of the cases that they're talking about, like, hey, we moved the middle class person all the way down to the bottom, and now they're on the nipple like we have. You want to be on the top side of this, you do not want to be on the bottom side. Because again, this is all fear control thing. I mean, we'll get all that out of the way, but this is definitely the most massive fear control they've ever been able to do. And unfortunately, some people are paying it, like, they're actually believing it, which is wild to me. But yeah, you have to understand that because I have buddies that own some liquor stores and all that, and they're like, dude, we can't keep alcohol on the shelves.
Oh, yeah.
And you go like you said. You go like, I'm walking in my neighborhood. Someone walks by me without. Like, I don't. I'm not wearing masks. They jump around the bushes to avoid me. I'm like, are you. Like, what are we creating?
It's not that serious.
And listen, it is serious if you have immune deficiencies, but guess what? You're already a high risk anyways. And my people's delusional right now. There's this guy, he's been in cancer for the last 10 years. He has all this crazy treatment stuff going on, and he passed away, unfortunately. And I'm talking to someone I know, and they're like, oh, dude, did you hear? So and so got Covid. They died. I'm like, dude, they died because they had cancer for the last 10 years and they're sick. Like, they didn't die of COVID They died of natural causes. Now it's called.
So it's such a. It's such a magic. It's such a hidden agenda. And. And I don't know if it's true or not, but, like, if you look at some of the stuff that everybody who dies is being tagged it. You know.
They'Re writing articles about. My buddy Sean just was sharing an article yet last night on Live. Like, the guy. They're writing articles. New York City says 4,000 people surges, blah, blah, blah. But. And then there's the more lettering that says. And I'm paraphrasing massively, but it's like, you know, we're not testing. We're just. We're just addressing it. Like, I'm like, how can you do that? Like, what are you doing?
Read it as real.
Which.
Interesting mark, because my daughter a month ago had tonsillitis. And. But when this had started, so she went to urgent care, and I was like, I'm thinking, there's got to be hundreds of people there. There's no one there. So then a friend of mine did get this, and he lived and he's fine, and he went to the hospital. And I said, how many people were at the hospital? He says, a couple. And I said, this doesn't make sense to me. It doesn't make sense to me that there's lot now there is lines outside of Walmart. That is.
It's smart, though.
That is true. There's lines outside of a Walmart. I went to my wife and I drove to our beach house yesterday down in New Jersey, Seaside Beach. And we go down There. And Mark I, they blocked off the, the beach so you can't like, first off, it's 50 something degrees. So I don't think there's going to be 5 million people on the beach. But you can't. Now you can walk over to the bay because I guess they don't have enough money to block the whole bay because you're still going to see it. But on the other side, you can't walk up and look at the ocean. And I, I told my wife, this is, this is upstairs. Fresh air is very good for you. And you know, me being a contractor all those years, I mean, I used to go into houses, the whole family would have thermometers in their mouth. I didn't care.
You're immune to typhoid flu.
I would tell my guys, wash your hands, take some vitamin C, but if you don't want to work in this house because they got the flu, well, I don't know, I can't pay you this week. Like, you didn't, you didn't worry about that stuff. There's been stuff around for so long. And I agree, they're, they're causing, you know, franticness amongst people. You know, 60 days ago you didn't give a, what you touched. A contractor would pull up to McDonald's, eat his French fries, lick his fingers and he's been fine.
Yeah, exactly.
It's, it's a crazy, it's a crazy time. But you know what? For those of you all crazy times move past, you know, all, all conspiracies, eventually you'll never know. Nobody will know what to believe about 9 11. Nobody will know what to believe about Y2K. Nobody. There will always be all these. One person says it's right, the other says wrong.
You know what?
Here's what we know for sure is right. You're, you're a human. As far as we know. Maybe you're not. But most people, probably humans, you probably have a family or somebody you really, really care about. You probably have something you really, really love to do. And you should not forget all those things. Yeah, you should have hugged your kids and kissed your kids and wife before you go to bed. And you should have been considering having family dinner and game night. You, you should be, you should have been taking walks with your kids through the park. Anyway, so like, you know what if you just go back to the fundamentals of what's most important in life to you, it's all still there. And guys, don't worry, you know, I, I knew that Mark this was the most unrational thing when. When the toilet paper thing started to happen.
Oh, my God.
This is the most unrational human behavior. And you know what? If anybody. And I hope it's okay to share. Napoleon Hill wrote a book. He wrote a couple good ones. Now, the one, Think and Grow Rich was a great book. Unfortunately, it's the most read book, but people just did not become rich from it, right? So maybe it wasn't the right book, but it's still a great book. Outwitting the Devil, if you just want to see what's happening. A lot of this and, like, harmonic rhythm and messaging, just. Just go listen. And anybody who writes a book, and I'm thinking, I'm gonna do a book like this one. I'm gonna write a book, and I'm gonna refuse to publish it till me and my wife are dead. Because you have to assume that if you write a book and you don't want to publish it while you're alive or while your wife's alive, there's got to be something in that book that's pretty damn good or got you freaked out, right? And so all of you get it on audiobook, listen to it while you drive, and you will just know that this is the most. I'm pretty sure you could have wiped your ass with a sock if you had to. Most contractors, you had to get creative when you were on a job site anyway. Like, come on. It's so amazing. It's so amazing right now.
It's absolutely. It's the most magicians of the hand thing that's going on. But for guys like us and you, we will succeed at a massive level because of it. We see this as an opportunity, you know, like, we're all in. We're doing more audio, more video. We're realizing, you know, we're deepening relationships with all types of people, which is very cool. Quick question on your side, Mike, with your teams, because I know your teams typically are in offices, right? I don't know if they still are. Are you changing? What's happening? Is the. Is things enhancing? Are you guys. Are they realizing? I have a buddy and owns a company, 1100 employees. He's like, dude, I don't think we ever need to go back to the office. They're more productive. They're better lives. They're happier. Like, things are happening when they're far. And he's never. He would have never made this adjustment if this didn't happen, ever. So there's good stuff coming out of it.
Too, you know, I have some. So like we had to do some changes. I had a whole bunch of events, right?
Yeah.
I had a three day marketing training that I ran and, and you know, I Never did a three day training online and it was 12 hour days because people were telling me, oh, you can't keep people more than four and five hours. I was like, you know what, I've never listened to anybody anyway. We did 12 hour days. They didn't fall asleep. We had some, we had Dean Jackson come and talk and Joe Paulson. It was amazing. And people said, oh this is great. And I said, listen, it is great. But my belief, Mark, is first off, people are going to crave connection again and, and they're going to want to touch people again. We're human beings, we were built to be hugged and touched. So for our companies, what we've been coaching people and what I did myself, I mean, because I have 12 full time employees for CEO Warrior that are in New Jersey. We have a 10,000 square foot building that we run out of and then we have about 15 remote subcontractor type employees. We took all our in house employees and I said, you know what, we don't have to do this, let's just do it and try it on because if it's forced, I want to break it now. So we made all our employees go remote and one of them is, goes there now because we now have take another one of our training called Road Warrior. We teach guys how to knock on the door and do the whole process. And so we got one person that will be shipping out 75 bags and all this stuff to these people. And so my thinking is this, my team that worked remote all the time, it's no different, it's, they knew how to function. The new team, I believe, I can't say that they're all more productive unless they're alone at home. Because here's what I'm thinking. It's so convenient, convenient to flip on the tv. It's so convenient for your husband, your wife or your kids to say can you, and I don't know about you, but like it's easy when I'm home for my wife to come up to me, I've been with my beautiful wife 35 years and say, hey, can you get this for me? Can you move this for me? Can you, can you take this out? And like if you look at all those now, yeah, maybe I'm putting in more time because of the interaction. So I, I, we taught all our contractors, look Whoever does not have to be there, let's just get them at home. Because if anything, it's a good science experiment. Let's see how you function. And like, I went through Storm Sandy. Storm Sandy was a bad storm. It. If you want to talk about testing a service company. We lost all electricity in our building for three weeks. We had backup generator. We burned through two of them. We had. We had people. We lost all 200 phone lines. We had marketed. Phone lines went down. We had to redirect them. We were running off of four hotspots and cell phones. So, like, you know, if you look at these types of things and stuff, I think they're good because you have to do it.
Yeah.
I don't think it's the way you. You choose to do business. I think it's. This year is still not going to be the same as if me and you were hanging out at some place. But I think, you know what? I think it's a good vehicle for now. I think testing things out and seeing how you function is good. I think leadership. If you have not trained yourself to be an amazing leader, it's showing every hole possible in your ability. Because, like, I've always been. I had 200 employees, I had directors, and, and, you know, so for me, leadership's always been easy because I've trained for it my whole life. But, like, you know, you got to have your team. And let me give some tips. If you guys have your team, I'll share some things we're doing with our team. Like every night we use a vehicle called team teamwork. Teamwork is just a collaboration vehicle. It's an easy one to use every night are everybody on the team, they go in and they post. Hey, this is what I got done today. This is what I'm most proud of. And here's my, my target. I say target because you don't want a goal. You want to target my target tomorrow. And so like, and I get to read those at night and I get to do coaching. And then. So if you do have them remote one, you got to have them report. Two key performance indicators. KPIs, they're more critical than ever. You have to watch it. And what most people don't, I don't think know Mark in business. And I'll share it for everybody. Here is a key performance indicator. As far as I'm concerned, it's an emotional driver. Okay. It's all based on emotions. That tells me all I want to know is if the numbers are low, what emotions are not in place. If they're scared, numbers go down. If they're worried, numbers go down. If they're. If they're not. If they're on the phones and they're not booking at a high conversion, it's because they have. They're dealing with some kind of emotion or confusion, fusion. So, like, you gotta have some of that in place, and you gotta watch it a lot. And the other thing is, I've created. Even with the online events that we did, Mark, I created everything the same with my team, as if I'm in the building. Like, registration. Like, you're in the building, you're getting a packet of stuff. We're. We're having the same conversations. We're following the same structure. And if I were to give everybody a tip, if you see these info marketers, Mark, the reason why a lot of them suffer is they don't understand how to build a brick and mortar. You understand the fundamental practices of really building a true business. Like, it's a brick and mortar, it could be online, but you understand the foundations of the numbers and the systems and the processes and the marketing and the culture and the opera. If you understand, understand that this time here, it doesn't matter. Like, it doesn't matter what's happening. And I think this word that everybody's saying is pivot.
Pivot.
I think it's an okay word. I mean, let's just talk about what it really is. Change. Like, just change. Change fast. And the first thing you got to change is you got to change the way you think about everything. If you think about the world's gonna open up and swallow you up, you're gonna die. If you think about the world is just moving, you're going to move. The difference between the cheese moved and I'm going to be the cheese maker. That's it.
No, it's very powerful, man. I think it's. Guys, I hope you guys are liking this. I mean, Mike's dropping real bombs here. And I think sharing stuff, the thing is, too, this pivot thing, you and I, we hear pivot. We're like a speedboat, you know, anchors down, boom, we pivot. Some of these guys are like a tugboat. That's them pivoting. It takes 13 years to make a move. It's like, you better. Like, again, what's interesting is, how did people not Mike. So it's funny, last three years, people like, when's the market changing? When's it shifting? When's it crashing? Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And then when it happens, we don't know what it looks like or what it sounds like or what the word is, coronavirus or whatever it is, but we knew it was coming. Why are so few people not prepared? That's what. As business owners, I'm saying this word very loosely. Business owners.
The world is created people to, to numb them and not be prepared. We have so many. Look at the rate. I mean, I know some parents now. I've always been worked hard not to be one of these parents. I'm gonna say so. So I'm a martial artist. 35 years. I have a martial arts dojo in my house. My son's trained, my daughter's trained. Like, I never wanted to be told. My wife, I'm never going to be that guy that's gonna go football, baseball, swimming, soccer, like. And what happens is the world has been made to move so fast that people just don't know how to function now, when actually they step back and go, whoa, all this was really happening. Yeah, it's always been really, really happening. And, and the point is, guess what? A lot of you, you missed the, you missed the messages, you missed the indicators. You didn't. Here's what I will tell people. One, the way you do business, I don't care what size company you are. I have companies now that I work with that literally are startup. And the biggest company we work with is doing over 100 million. And we have everybody in between. 8 million, 15. That's why sometimes, Mark, people come to me and they go, hey, do you just work with new people? I might be a little big. I'm like, oh, where are you? They're like, yeah, we just did a million. I'm like, well, okay, I don't even insult you, toddler. But like, you know, we have companies that go from a million to 5 million in like a year. So like, you know, there's no, there's no, there's no regulator on the gas pedal and you can go in this. But here's what. Let me give you some facts from my belief, and it's only my crazy belief. The way you communicate with people, the, the way they think, just like after 9, 11, the way they think, the way they're going to purchase, the way they want, the quality of service, everything has changed. And if you are not. And it's. It may not be me, it might be me, it might be Mark, it might be someone else out there. If you are not aligned and investing, I told my clients, you better. You better invest in your mind's education.
Absolutely.
Faster. You better. This year alone, take all the training you ever did. And I have clients. I have almost every client with me from six years ago still with me today. Our retention runs at, like, 94 to 96%. It's unheard of in the world. But the fact is, I told everybody, everything you learn from me, we have to learn double that in this year alone because it's changed. So if you are not. If you're trying to learn from a book, I'm going to tell you, and I got 17 books. Like, they're good. You ain't gonna get what you need from a book, everybody. You better get yourself in a tribe of people, wherever that is it. In Facebook groups, they're great. But that probably ain't gonna get it done for you. You better get smart people that know your situation and can tell you, you know what? You better twist this, shake this, bake this, put this forward and. And take it. Hear it from me from a crazy tattooed martial artist. I'm telling you, I'm telling everybody, you better learn at the rate of speed, and you will win. You'll look back in three years and go, holy crap, look what we did. But if you're surrounded around people that don't know, you're in groups trying to give you a nugget here and there, you're trying to read a book to get it done, you're moving too slow. And. And Mark, you know that because we met in a group God knows how many years ago. So we've been investing. Yeah, investing in our education for a long time.
You know, I mean, in a weird way, I'm excited for what's going on, Mike. I'm actually waking up. Or like, I already get up early, but I can't wait to wake up even more. I'm, like, educating my brain on, like, new strategies, new principles, new, like, leadership skills. Like, how can I develop? How can I grow? Every waking minute, every thought now is like, how do I get bigger? I'm doubling down, tripling down. You know, all my efforts, energy on my team at marketing, on, you know, development on, hey, how do we get smarter? Technology. Like, where is the opportunity? And what I'm trying to do is suffocate fear. You know, fear is not real in our world. So I'm suffocating it with opportunity, suffocating with action. We're too busy to worry about fear. We're too busy actually working.
Yeah. And if you look at, like, I'm a guy that's done a whole lot of breakthrough stuff. Like I do, you know, I've been doing the fire walking things for years. I do firewalks in my backyard and breaking arrows on your neck and sticking needles through your hand. Like, I've been doing every type of breakthrough thing for probably 12 to 15 years now. And the one thing I tell everybody when you're experience all of this type of, like, intense type of breakthrough stuff is fear breaks out. False evidence appearing real. And fear is predicting a future that never happened. Unless you're Nostradamus or something. If you think about it, it's like, fear, this is going to happen. Wait. I always tell people, like, where did you learn to predict the future? Because like two months ago you said, well, you know what? You never know when you're going to die. You might get hit by a car today. You're like, man, if I don't wear a mask, I'm going to die. It's like, like you might wear your mask and the damn thing might block your vision and you might get run over by the damn car. You know what I mean? Like, just embrace. I think it goes back to. And I think a lot of people's beliefs get challenged, Mark. And. And I'm a spiritual guy, so everybody bear with me. I'm not a religious guy. I'm a spiritual guy. Even though I was brought up a Catholic and then I was a Buddhist many years, probably eight or nine years, and then I just became a spiritual belief guy. You know, when you have strong belief, it's like the thing that I always watch, you know, in certain religions when people, they get so sad someone's going to die. And I'm like, don't you believe in heaven? And they're like, oh, absolutely. And I said, tell me about heaven. And so it's the greatest place in the universe. You know, it's a place where all these things. And I go, why? I know you're going to miss them, but you mean they got a key, they got a ticket to the greatest place of your belief ever and you're freaking out. It sounds like they're going to nirvana here. It sounds amazing. There's going to be lots of cigars and lots of coffee and it's never going to end. And so, like, what I would tell people is the fact that you can't go to your church because they said no doesn't mean you can't believe. Make the church inside your home, whatever your belief is, put. Put a little chapel inside your home talk, you know what I mean? So, like, don't forget. And the number one belief, Mark, is people have to believe in themselves. If you believe in yourself. And you know that every waking. I mean, I do the same two things every day, Mark. When I go to bed, I say the same thing. Every night I go to bed, I think as many things as I can, I'm grateful for. And I tell the universe, if you let me wake up tomorrow, I won't let you down. I promise you I will deliver, I will serve, I will be relentless. I mean, I've been telling people, like, I've worked harder the last 30 days than the last 10 years of my life. The second thing is every morning I wake up, hair's all wild, I smile, and I'm like, thank you. Another day I am going to play full out. I'm a work my ass off. I'm going to stuff out. I'm going to serve clients. I'm going to change this world, and I'm going to do my part. And I do the same thing every night and every day. And if you just do that one thing alone, life will be. It doesn't matter if it's today, it's gone, or tomorrow. You're just going to enjoy. Like, look at. And I am glad this Mark, like. Like, you're probably looking at your wife in a better way now. Some of you, maybe you're fighting with your wife because you've never been around her so, so much. But, like, really step back and just look at the people in your world and like, why. I get it. It sucks to be. To be said you have to stay somewhere. But if I said to you, what would you do for your family? You would say you would kill for them. Well, why don't you live for them? Right?
It's very powerful, man. You know, 100. I think everything you're saying really comes down to is, hey, I'm thankful for what I have, not what I don't have. You know, so many people are sitting here talking about what they don't. Have you talked about it earlier about, like, seeing what everyone's got or this or that. It's like, dude, you got to wake up, you got to see touch, feel, smile, like, be grateful and, you know, take again. I do the same thing. I'm very. I'm just grateful, you know, to be alive. I want to be a great steward of my time. I want to be a better version tomorrow. It doesn't have to be a hundred percent, 1% every day, every day. And we develop, we grow it. And by the way, Mike, we're not talking. This is easy. You're gonna get kicked in the teeth, you're gonna get punched in the face, you're gonna get kicked on the ground. Like, that's part of the process. But when I see that, I'm like, well, at least I get back up. At least I have.
It's training, man. It's training. You know, it's. It's life's training. If you look. They call it positive reframing, right? And positive reframing is. Look at anything. Like, I'll share an example. People say, mike, where did you. Where did you learn? And this is be curious about people. Everybody be curious. Ask people good questions, like when they share things, like if they do. So somebody one time asked me, they said, well, when did you start martial arts? And I said, when I was 15. And then they asked me something most people don't. They said, why? And I said, well, I'll tell you a story. When I was 15, I was dating a girl before my wife, and I've been with my wife since I'm 15, but before. Before her, and she started dating gang members that. I lived in an area with tons of gangs, but there was an area not far, and I was late for vocational school one morning. And as I walk in, there they are five gang members. They plow me to. They hold me to the wall. They're just beating the heck out of me. They didn't break me, but they hurt me, man. My lip and black eye and. And they punched me all over. And then I made a commitment that day. And people would say, well, that's horrible, man, if that's horrible. And I said, yeah, it was horrible, but it made me start martial arts training that now I've been doing for 35 years. Because I made a commitment that will never happen in this life again. So if you go back in time, look, I had a. I had a lawsuit, mark. Started at $4 million. We settled at a million. When we were small, I thought it was going to put us out of business. Million dollars. Anybody in a service company that's got to pay a million dollars. Like, we had to get loans. I took my whole home equity line. I had to put my houses up. My. My partner had to put his house up. Guess what? Now that I look back, it created momentum and fuel for me. And I think we went back then. Maybe we were. I don't know, maybe we're 8 million. We went from like 8 million to 16 million. You know why? Because if you look back in time, Anything that's been bad, you had a choice. Let it kill you or let it turn into fuel.
Yep.
This is the same thing today. And all of you watching this go back in time and just say to yourself, what did I deal with and how did it forge me, forge me into the strong human yard? And if it didn't forge you, let it forge you today. Let it make you. You know, I did. I did this cool thing with my son. My son still does it. We went to a. A blacksmith.
Oh, cool. Yeah, yeah.
Swordsman. And we took a little piece of metal like this and we stuck it and we forged it and back. And man, it's hard ass work. And before you know it, you have this beautiful hardened razor sharp blade. But you know what? That metal had to go through heat, it had to go through banging, it had to go through grinding and filing. And if you just look at your. Yourself, if you haven't been doing that yourself, well, start, start grinding, start pounding a little bit. Start, start conditioning your. Your who you are. And this will. You're gonna win. And, and my hopes are everybody watching this mark. Besides, I'm honored to be here.
Thank you.
And, and I'm honored to have you as a friend. Thank you for that. You've always been there. No matter what I hit you up, you're always there for me. I hope that this one episode alone and, and Marsh's been doing a ton of them and they're great. Like, I hope what this one's the catalyst now. I hope it's the one that you just go, you know what? Stand up after this. Or shake yourself off. Yell at the scream at the sky and say, you know what? I'm gonna move forward. I'm gonna move forward on a weight in a momentum. Tell your family you've been awakened or whatever. Tell them you're moving forward. Unlike you're gonna work. Because it don't matter if you're 20 years old or a hundred years old, you can move forward with endurance and power. And I hope this one session here does this for everybody, you know.
Absolutely. I mean that's why we're all here is like to wake you guys up and give you the real stuff. Like we're behind the scenes in the front lines. We're getting punched. I mean we're doing exactly what we're recommending.
Right?
Knowing. So you know, real quick here, backstory. Like I, I did a video a couple days ago and I mentioned CEO Warrior and Mike shot a 6, 16 second audio thing. Hey man, thank you very Much for giving me a shout out. Boom. Text, hey Mike, you want to get on the show? So you know, it's, we're so aware too, right Mike? I think awareness is very important, guys. Like if Mike mentions me, someone's going to tell me that I'm not going to just say, oh, that's pretty cool. I'm going to say, yo man, thank you very much or hey, that's pretty awesome man. Hey, is there anything I could add value? Like you guys understand how this process works in life. Like it's always value. We're all value driven, you know, and.
I think that's got to be like, you know, everybody should have, everybody should have a mission or a movement that they want to create and, and, and, and your movement changes. You know, when I was young, my, my mission was just to not struggle. I mean I had a mortgage when I was 19 years old. I didn't know any better. It was $1300 a month. The interest rate back then I think was 18. In nine years, I paid off a thousand dollars. I lost 70,000 when I sold it because I didn't want to start a family where that townhouse was. And you know, it, you know, so your movement and, and your purpose is going to change. And you know, I hope I don't mock this too much, but here's what I tell people. I know a lot of people and probably people that follow you, Mark, or me, you know, they hear this like all these smart people saying, you know, four hour work week and this, that. Here's what I want to tell you. First off, if you only want to do something for four hours a day, you probably hate it and you shouldn't do it, okay? Do what you love and time will pass quickly. It will be rewarded. Love what you do, do it all the time. And if you're not passionate today, I would tell you, become passionate now. Because like I'm brought up in a martial arts world and my instructor, he used to, he used to always throw these wise things at me. He would say, mike, the guy in the farmer field, all he does is cut rice all day, 15 hours a day. He leaves, he's exhausted. Does he love or hate his life? And I would say, gotta hate it. He goes, no. You see, every day, with every cut of it, he was training his sword stroke. He loved life. And I said, oh, I get it, I get it. So no matter what is good, what is bad, love it now. Until I always say this, until you love the next thing. Love it now, appreciate it now. And until the, the next thing is funny, Mark, because I'm sure in your world, I don't know if you get it. Like, I had a guy the other day. You know, you always have some of these haters that don't like your message or don't like who you are. They think you're. You know, somebody used to tell me, they say, you know, you see your warrior guys, you're a bunch of chest pounding guys. And I said, okay, like, let's not forget, like Tarzan pounded his chest. The, the Hulk pounded his chest like King Kong. I said, okay, good. So like someone reached out the other day. They had a negative thing. And I just reached out and I said, you know what you said? What? You said, I love you.
Yeah.
That's all I did. I said, I love you.
Absolutely.
That's it, man. So, like, if you could just and it. And I don't think this happens throughout life. You know, my dad told me many, many years ago, he said, someday you're gonna watch a cartoon with your kids, you're gonna cry, you know, you're gonna get emotional when you get older. And I was like, nah, probably not me. But all that's true, you know, and you get to choose that anywhere along the journey to care more, to, to love more, to like more. And, and you know what? People will feel that and they'll follow it. They'll follow it and. Because they know that you're pure at heart and you're not just trying to sell them a, A gadget or a hope. Like, I don't sell nobody a hope. I don't sell them a dream. You know what I do? I. I offer to deliver them wisdom and show them how to apply it and how to be a better everything. Because I always tell people in the CEO warrior world, Mark, like, I'm not okay. Someone gets wealthy and gets divorced. I'm not okay. They get wealthy and diabetes. I'm not okay. They get wealthy and mental sickness. I'm not. I'm like, I want you to be holistic in life. I want you to be happy. I want you to have a good business. I want you to love your family. I want, I want your, like if you're home. Well, first off, how many babies. I'm wondering your theory. Let me ask you a question. How many baby. How many babies are going to be born?
It's gonna be a lot.
A lot.
Yeah. Not at my house, I promise you that.
No, not mine either. I'm all done with that. I'm all, I'm all Fixed up and stuff. So that. That ain't gonna happen.
Oh, it's gonna be pretty. It's gonna be a lot, man. Right. I'm sure it's gonna be a ton. You know, everything saying so, Pat, you know, find your passion and fall in love with the journey.
Yeah.
Like, what's interesting is I would like your thought. Like, I love the journey. That's kind of why I like what's going on. Because it's gritty. It's journey. Like, I know this. What's going on right now makes me a better person tomorrow. And then five years from now, I'm gonna look back and say, man, I remember those great times, like, blah, blah, blah, blah. Like, every time I got beat up or every time I got a big lawsuit issue or this or that or, you know, the number one team member leaves for whatever reason, I look back and I'm like, oh, my gosh. Like, if they didn't leave me, where would I be? I'd probably be worse off. You know, every time, I made me stronger, made me wiser, made me more, you know, more connect, made me a better leader because I used to treat my employees like crap until my number one person left me and I realized I'm treating them like a mule. I'm trying to figure out how to pay them less, I'm trying to work them harder, because that's how it's taught. I didn't know any better, but when that moment happened, I learned from it. And then I developed a different skill set. Right.
It makes.
It makes you better.
Yeah. If you look, I always say the formula, the three Ps. Like, pat, power, passion, purpose equals power. Right? Passion and purpose will equal power. And. And you know what? Everybody, like you and I, Mark, if we pulled up our shirt, looked at our backs, there's lots of whips, there's lots of arrows. And you know what it. It is. It creates you into who you are today. And you know what I got? I had five employees leave in one week. Twice that happened to me. I had a business partner I had to buy out for over $2 million. I didn't even know how the hell he was going to do it. Like, everybody has been through their own wars, and. And nobody's war is better or worse than the other. It just is.
Yep. And.
And you know, the fact is, though, in this world, things are changing. That's. That's fact. The other fact is the way people will think in the future is changing. That's. I think that's fact. It's my fact. The other thing that the fact tells me is I better figure out how to work within this new world quicker than ever before. So where I always say this, it's so great. In my world, I never have to worry about a lot of clients needing stuff on Friday because people shut down. You never hear anything on Saturday and Sunday, but Monday morning, baby, everybody wants to, wants to work. And so I'll give you another thing we told our clients, you know, 45 days ago. Go to your family, let them know a storm might be coming, and let them know what work's going to look like. Okay? And the good thing is now, since a lot of them are working at home, a bunch of people, it's like, no longer can their wife say, oh, I don't see you. You're not around enough because your damn ass is in the house working every day. Now get your family aligned on what's going to happen. Now look, let's talk about best case and worst case scenario. Best case scenario is, and what I'm advising everybody to think about is if we, if the world starts moving in the next couple weeks, we're good. This is a good sign. And as long as the world can move without them trying to stick Frankenstein needles in your neck, we're going to be good. If the world does not start moving in a couple weeks and this moves into May, well, then you got to get ready to, to really shift a fast way. Because what will happen is there will just be too much. There's going to be a lot of economic pressure. Now the thing about economic pressure is as it starts to push down like this, I always say, I was saying it in 2008, if any of you have, you shouldn't even watch the movie. It's so creepy. I watched it with my kids years ago called the Purge. It's creepy, it's horrible, it's freaky, but in a way, it's exciting. I called it back in 2008. I said, guys, the Purge is happening now. Here's what's happening now. This is a whole different purge. This is like the Walking Dead, right? But the fact is the Purge is going to happen with this downward pressure. And your goal is almost like the. The parting of the Red Sea. When this sea parts, you want to be the one that could walk down the the middle, which means your day has to be. You should have a notebook. Everybody should have a notebook next to them every day that they're writing thoughts, notes, and questions. Because there's somewhere like this that you could Get a question answered or there's the resource. And even for me, hit me up on. Hit me up on Facebook. Private message me if there's something I could help you with. I'll help you. And if you're in the service industry and you know someone that's struggling, I'll. I'll send them a free book. I'll cover postage. I send out. I don't know, I spent probably 5 or 8,000 a year and giving free books. I don't expect them to ever work with me. It's the gift. There's no attached. Because we can't. We can't. Everybody's got to do their own little part to help remove suffering from people's thinking. But you know what? Let's. The next two weeks. You can't sit there. Mark, I want to. I'm curious for you on this. How many people do you know that are sitting here and they're using this words, playing the waiting game.
I don't know anybody personally, but I'm sure there's a lot of people here because I.
Our world.
I'm expecting this to go until June or July. Honestly. That's how I'm planning. I'm plotting. June or July.
Quarantined or just the situation?
I think quarantine.
Interesting.
I think it's going to be way long because I think the problem is, is getting people back to like normal. New normal has been reset. There's. It's different. Normal, really. I think, you know, it's already happened in Virginia. It's. They're quarantined till June 10th, I believe. Really?
I didn't hear that yet. Yeah.
So my buddy's out in Virginia. He's a, you know, he's got a big farm. He's like. Yeah. They're saying not to stay home until June 10th now. So anyway, I just think, though, I think that could get lifted, but like my brain's thinking worst case scenario, so I can function different. My actions are different. My urgency is a little bit tighter.
Yeah. Yeah.
So it's kind of like if you're trying to lose weight, I'm not trying to lose four pounds, I'm trying to lose 40. It's a different effort.
Yeah. I think the problem here, the situation. I don't want to say problem, I want to say situation is that the president knows one thing and all these individual mayors are trying to translate their own things.
Yep.
And. And they're not matching together. And that's the part, that's the part that's worrying I hope it doesn't go to June because I, I don't think it's good emotionally.
Oh gosh.
I don't think it's good emotionally and human behavior wise, I don't, I don't believe that's good. And I believe if they push people to June, we could end up in a. Look, the, the, the, the surroundings of the world is positioned for a revolt of some kind. Like, and when humans get to the point where, see right now they, they fear death, when they get to the point that they no longer fear death, they will just say it. Yeah, sorry I cursed on here, but I don't know.
I agree.
They will just move about.
Yeah.
And I already see that human pressure happening. It doesn't have to affect anybody's business. Like we have. One of the things our clients say is, oh, some homeowners are worried about having people in the house. I said, well, the only reason they're worried is because you haven't educated them right. Yeah, yeah, you educate people on your practice, what you'll do. And let's face it, if you live in a house and you haven't had it inspected and the electric checked and the plumbing checked, well, what do you want? If you have a flood in your house or fire in your house, you're going to be forced to go live somewhere that's probably not as safe as you're living now. So like, you know, there's, there's risks and there's rewards and the risk is okay, can. And it's funny, the people that are worried about having people in the house, they're the same people that go and walk through Walmart to get something. So education and just so you guys, everybody listening who does know some marketing and stuff. You know, direct response marketing is simply directing people how to respond. Educational based marketing is really what a lot of you should be focusing on right now in all your business. Education first, direct response second. If you go back, you know, two months ago, you could just direct response the out of people they're gonna buy. And then you could do consumption, you could do education. The second marketing all of you should do. To know about education based marketing is create consumption based marketing. Education is going to give them information. It could be in little bits or long bits. Consumption based marketing is like this. You're on, you're listening. It makes sense. You're going to consume this whole thing till we're done. You're not, you don't, you're not. You just told your kids, be quiet, I'm listening. To something right? You're going to consume it. Now if you look at the best places for consumption based marketing is, you know, Netflix has already done the job for you. It's here. Video is going to be one of the quickest ways next to audio. Now video is going to get a sense of emotion across. You're going to see us. It's going to be very different than just audio. Podcast is good, but most people that are doing podcasts, they forget, do it like it's 1930 first time radio, you know, and I, I wasn't around then, I'm just going to be 50 this year. But if you remember the old school radio, my dad used to tell me, okay, and he steps up to base, he moved the dirt out of the way, there's fog coming out of his right. Like if you could get consumption, podcasts and consumption back to this way where there's such a delivery of emotion and impact and feeling, then boom. So if you guys could just focus whoever's listening on, you know, the order of education, consumption based and direct response, you're gonna, you're gonna lead. And the last thing I would probably say is branding frequency is, is probably the most important capital today on the planet because branding frequency has become easier. Well, I don't want to say easier. It's easier against your competitors. You can't. Mark, I got to share this.
Yeah.
Three years ago. No, no, four years ago, the last election, I thought I could out market on tv the election and this was a very stupid move. It was $2.3 million worth of TV. I mean, I've done marketing, right? Like three years ago, I sent out 1.4 direct mail pieces. I know direct mail. I did two point whatever million in TV. I had 150, 50 billboards in New Jersey. Like I did a lot of marketing. I could tell you a lot of never to do in life that doesn't work. And I could tell you stuff that doesn't in today's market. There's a logical order of what and why. I say education first is because everybody's already reading and consuming Covid and these loans and all this. If they're consuming, give it to them to consume. Right? I know they're consuming. And then at the bottom, just like this, it's like, hey, pay attention to this and think about this. And if you want more of this, get this, there's a logical order. Guys. Just most people don't know the order because they just haven't done enough marketing, you know, in their life.
Yeah, no, Man, I mean, that's why we're here. You know, we're educating because we know this is where the eyeballs are. You're at home on Facebook or YouTube, hanging out at, like, what, Nancy? See if Nancy's cousins, brothers, sisters, daughters, sons, dogs got Covid. So we know you're hanging out in these environments. So we're trying to, like, produce content and educate you guys on what really, like, as an entrepreneur, how to become better, stronger, more importantly, like, you know, for yourself and your family, your company. Like, I feel like it's our duty, right, Mike? I mean, you and I are on the same mission with that for sure. It's our video.
It is. And leverage, leverage. And just as I think of ideas until Mark says we're done, I'm gonna throw stuff at you guys. But if you think about things, things. Now you can do some little study groups with some of your customers, invite some of your customers that been with you a while to a platform like this, doesn't matter what platform, and say, hey, I'd like to buy you dinner. Okay, I'm gonna send you a 50 or 75 gift card. I just want you to join me for one hour as a loyal customer. And I just want to ask questions. How are you feeling now? What do you see the future of your services? What do you see yourself buying in the future and not buying? What do you think? See, you have to get into the people's minds to understand the real opportunity. And most of anybody on here that has customers. You know, I don't know if it's 50, 75, or 100. The. The value would be crazy worthwhile. But the fact that you're doing that, you're going to get intel that is going to help you marketing. It's going to be intel to help you for your culture. The other thing I would say, Mark, is. And I said it with the genius recovery, here's something I'm doing myself a lot. All of you consider whatever charity you believe in or small business or something. Now is not a time to stop supporting. 50 bucks. Take a hundred bucks. Buy from the deli down the road. You know, give to a charity. Like, I had Dean on and I had Joe Polish on, and I was like, man, what's your charity? And I was like, I'm making a thousand bucks to it. Not that a thousand bucks is not important to me too. But you know what? It's the people like us, Mark, that are leaders. It's our part to also give. You guys know when you give and not expect anything back. It comes back 100 times. Anyway, that's not why you should do it. You should just do it because it feels good. And if you're not in the position that money is so tight, like, damn. Make, make these masks for somebody or, or look around and go online and say, you know what? I have an extra tv. I have an extra microwave. If somebody's microwave broke or their refrigerator broke, I got one for you. Just reach out, I'll put it at the curb. You don't even have to see me. I'll wipe it down with alcohol for you. Come. Come and get it. And as a society, I believe it's our right. It is our duty to serve other people the very best we can. And everybody, you know, I always love that phrase. You know, the, the sh. The. The man with holes in his shoes was upset till he, till he met a man with like no shoes at all. And then the man with no shoes was upset till he met a man with no feet, right? And it could just go on and on. So I think if everybody just steps up and do just a little, just do a little bit today. Just do. And this is the part if you said, what do you love about this? I love that people are going to care in a whole new way when this is gone.
Great.
Care in a whole new way. This world is going to be smarter. People are not going to be delusional about what's happening in the world no more. They're going to pay attention. They're going to, they're becoming more thought minded of like, oh, okay, I don't know. Is it the, is it the virus? Is it the vaccine? Is it the 5G? Is it the, the underground Railroad? Like, they're, they're getting, people are getting wiser and when they get wiser, we all become safer. It's a good thing. Good.
It's an amazing thing, man, I think, you know, but everything you're saying really comes down to focusing on a solution, not focusing on the problem. You know, it's all solution based mindset. I'm telling you guys, if you change your mind, growth, I should say reposition your mind. Growth into solution driven. Hey, you and I, Mike, we've developed our skill set as critical thinkers. Like, boom, we're in it and we see the solution. Okay? Problem, solution. Most people see the problem and they like, harp on the problem. Harp on the problem, Harp on the problem. It's like, dude, it doesn't solve anything. It's just making it worse. How can we focus on the solution, where's the solution, where's the opportunity in the problem? And everything you just said, give, give. Like you're giving. And that is the most amazing feeling in the world. If it's your time, if it's your energy, if it's your money, if it's your junk in your garage that you're not using that someone else could use, all this stuff can really get you in the front. You know, I would say you can't out give the world because it's an amazing gift to be able to do that. But I think this is a mindset, growth piece that once you get that, you anchor that in. It's a muscle, right? You have to work that muscle of giving, you know, like, oh my God, he said he gave a thousand dollars. I've done a lot of charity stuff and I've raised a lot of money to get somebody to give you a thousand dollars. Sounds if you have money, it's like, oh, I would do that all day, then why aren't you doing it? And then number two, if you think it's a lot of money, it's like, how do I get to that point? Because that's what I'm thinking about, like getting a thousand dollars or giving. It takes a minute. You got to give $20 to church for a few or. Or $20 to this shirt or that. Like, you got to start exercising muscle.
And give to your time. Like, somebody hit me up. Somebody hit me up yesterday and said, I'm doing this summit thing and I'm gonna have 20 something speakers and would you speak? And I was like. At first I was like, I. What's it like? What's the deal? He goes, well, all the money we make is going to charity. I'm like, I'm in. Yeah. What time? I'm hoping it's not too early in the morning or too late at night. Late at night's not really a problem. Too early in the morning normally is. But I'm like, just tell me and I'll be there. So, you know, everybody has a little extra time. Everybody has it. Stay up five minutes later, you know, wake up five minutes earlier and. And just giving your time. And you know what mark was it, you know, I was not a big video person. It took me a lot of years to get on video. And I was looking for the perfect camera and the perfect microphone and the perfect lighting. Now I have no special lighting here. This is our living room with this frog thing, my wife on the wall. And you know, and then one Day I. I can't even remember who it was because I've trained with so many people. I was telling him, oh, I'm getting. He grabbed my phone, and he says, you know what? Give it to me. And he says, speak. And I spoke into the camera, and he goes, you want the good news or you want the bad news? I said, give me the bad news. He goes, that was horrible. That was really bad. I said, what the hell's the good news? He says, well, the good news is you can't possibly do worse than that one. So what I would challenge all of you to do is, you know what? Go out there, and if you're not comfortable on video, do it on audio. But. But get over yourself. Every one of you are special. Every one of you have a sense of education, wisdom. You experience something in life. And that one thing you know, it's the starfish story, right? Like, if you guys don't know the starfish story, can I tell it really quick?
Please, Please.
Okay, so the star. I'll give you my version of it, and you can read any version you want. So the starfish story is. There's this little girl and a guy, Tally Burkhant, he's the original guy, went to learn fire walking. I had a call with him to ask him about firework and firewalking. Out of the blue, look him up. Tally Burkhan. He wrote a book, Let it be easy. It's a little bathroom read. It will change your life. And he tells me the story, and I'm like, why is this guy telling me? And the story changed my life. He says, you know, there's this little girl, and she's down by the ocean, and there's millions of starfish, millions of them. And the little girl is picking them up, and she's throwing the starfish into the ocean. So this old guy comes walking down, he's watching this little girl, and he walks over a little girl, and he goes, little girl, what are you doing? She goes, oh, I'm just saving starfish because they've been washed up. And he goes, oh, that's nice. But, little girl, you know, you can't save them all. He goes, oh, I know, but I just saved that one and that one, and that changed my life. To think that for all of you, don't try to be someone who has to go on a stage and talk to a hundred million people.
Yep.
Just share your wisdom, and you might just change that one starfish. And that changed my life. To just say, you know what? I'M going to give a message. And even if only one person hears this, if only one person watches this talk today, if it changes their life, then it was worth it. That's why, that's why we're on this planet. So that you can look up the starfish story and get the long version of it. Gave you the short version. But if you could just think, like, you might just be the one. The one. Just save that one starfish. Mark's done this and by the comments, I see some up. I think we saved probably a lot of starfish today.
Yeah. No, man, I think you've done amazing. Shared a lot of valuable content. Mike, what is like the prospect, like the perfect person that you could serve beside everyone? Like, but for your CEO warrior, who is that person and where can they go to get more information about what you got going on?
Yeah, so go to ceowarrior.com there is, you'll get, I mean, I got, I think a thousand YouTube videos. There's free resources. There's so much information you could consume a lot of stuff that can help you out. Find me on Facebook, because I post just a lot of stuff I'm always doing. Like, Mark, I'm walking sometimes it's at dark and I'm, I'm talking to you guys. And if any of you are struggling at all and you know a service, it's the service industry for me. So anybody who comes and works in your home that fixes something, that's the right type of person. And literally, if they're starting up or they're doing over a hundred million, we have something to help you grow, learn marketing, sales operation. Mark, what we tell people what we really are is we're a training, an implementation organization. That's what we do. We train people, we teach them how to implement, and we teach them how to build a real business and understand all the fundamentals that I don't believe. People are doing a really good job. And we just do it with a warrior flair. Because when you take on the title of warrior, you're willing to do what others won't do. So you can have what others only dream of having. So go to ceowarrior.com, you'll see all kinds of stuff. And if I could serve anybody with just some words or if somebody watching this, if you, if you have a community, even if it's outside my service industry, but you think I would have some value, I'll just do it for you guys. Just to keep serving people through this whole situation.
Yeah, no, man, it's amazing, Mike. It's always appreciative. I. I think at the end of the day, guys, as you guys clearly know, Mike, as he's ticking at a different level, so he can tap into you, help you guys, guide you, give you the path. There's no, you know, the path of least resistance. There's always resistance, but, like, a lot of this is emotional, so getting out of your own way and getting focused, you know? Mike, one thing. Biggest thing, too, is you got to save yourself before you save the world. You know, we got to come together. Reality is like, dude, if I don't take care of me, I always talk about the me economy. If me ain't taken care of, nothing else I care about will be taken care of. So getting healthier right now is a great time to get healthier, get smart. I mean, there's just so much opportunity right now. So, Mike, buddy, I appreciate you being. Thank you very much. I apologize. It went a little longer than it said, but perfect.
I had a blast.
Yeah, no, man. Thank you very much, and I look forward to hanging out with you, buddy. Soon.
Thanks, man. Thank you, guys.
Have a great day. Talk to you.
