A short monologue from a YouTube video where the speaker critiques traditional schooling based on personal high-school experiences. The speaker describes gaming the system (getting consecutive study halls, minimal foreign-language attendance), reframes cheating as collaboration, and argues schools intentionally produce a certain type of person.
Do you think traditional schooling is? Joke. I've always. Because I was in the system. So I knew it was like, you can literally go to school and figure out how to get four study halls in a row. I'm still not sure how I graduate high school. Because you're supposed to get, like, a foreign language, like, one year at least. And I did my senior year, and I did for two weeks. I'm like, I can't do this shit. And somehow I, like, got a study hall instead. And they graduated me. I, like, manipulate myself around. I was like, oh, I got to help the librarian, or whatever. That's how you learn. Sales in school, they call it cheating. I call it collaborating. Think about that. Like, dude, you're better at a subject than I am. Why are we trying to, like, work really hard to get good at something I don't even enjoy? They're creating people. It's on purpose.
