This is a short conversational excerpt from a YouTube video (created/uploaded by Mark Evans DM on October 31, 2023) where two speakers discuss mindset and resilience. They emphasize persistence through hardship, reframing losses as lessons ("not losses, it's lessons"), learning from hiring and partnership mistakes, and viewing setbacks as part of growth as one gets bigger.

It's not like anyone doesn't go through some serious shit on their journey, but it's like you just can't give up no matter how bad it gets.
But I think our mindset is whatever's happening, good or bad. Like, typically, you only do this when it's bad, by the way. So what's happening for me right now? Not happening to me. But why is this happening for me? Where's my lessons? It's not losses, it's lessons. Where's the lessons? Okay, get better at looking at deals. Get better at hiring people. Like, maybe you're getting. Maybe someone, you had to fire them, or they're stealing from you, or you have a bad partnership. But people carry a lot of judgment on themselves. Like, dude, I'm so dumb. I'm so stupid. Why didn't I say, you're a different person today than you were six months ago, 12 months ago, three years ago when you got into that mess? Anyways, it's. It's an evolution process. And I think when you sit there and hunker down and like you said, and take these L's lessons, you're like, it's happening for me. What can I learn from it? This still happens. The truth is, as we get bigger, dude, it happens. They're bigger.
