A short business-advice monologue by Mark Evans DM about managing growth and improving efficiency. He uses a gym/weights metaphor to describe stages of revenue growth, the need to hire and learn management, then reassess strategy (deal types, margins, leadership, sales hiring) to scale efficiently rather than overworking.

Respect the void because you're going to have that void on growth. You're going to make 150,000, 250. Then you're going to have to hire someone. You got to learn how to hire. More importantly, you got to learn how to manage. Then you can hire that person. Now you see, okay, that's in the gym. I'm working out. Okay, boom, I hired someone. Okay, throw another plate on each side. Okay, I'm working out. And then, boom, now I hired someone. Now I'm up to 400,000, 500,000 a year. Okay, things are growing about what do I do? We got to go bigger. What's bigger mean? Maybe I got to get more efficient. Maybe I got to change my type of deals I'm doing product wise. Maybe I got to look at my profit margins. Maybe I got to look at how I can become better leader. Maybe I need to hire a salesperson because I'm tapped out. If you're working 16, 18 hours a day and not making millions of dollars a year, you're doing it wrong. That's the truth.
