Short YouTube video clip where an interviewer (SPEAKER A) and Mark Evans DM discuss his book Magician vs. Mule. They contrast a "mule" mentality (doing all tasks oneself, blue-collar pride) with a "magician" mindset (seeing the big picture and delegating to others). The clip ends with a promotion to check out the book on Amazon.
Okay, guys, I'm here with Mark Evans, DM. His new book is Magician vs. Mule. You see, I grew up with blue collar mentality. I had the mule mentality. You know, I was proud to do everything myself. And his book and his stories helped me see that there was a transition. I went from mule to a magician.
The biggest difference with the magician versus the Mule is understanding one, that you're a mule. Right? So oftentimes we think we're just, we're the magician, even though we're inside the mule task, then just focusing on how to look at this at a bigger level. I think mules are so focused on task, task, task, task. The magician's thing about, like, the big picture and then finding the people to put in place to help do the task.
Check out his book, Magician vs. Mule. It's on Amazon.
