A short YouTube conversation (Mark Evans DM) urging people to meet others in person and not overreact to media-driven controversies. Speakers emphasize that real-life interactions reveal many good people, while news media amplify small incidents (e.g., cancel culture) for profit and attention.
If you actually just get out and meet human beings in real time, you realize there's a lot of amazing people out there, a lot of great people want to do great stuff. Yes, it's okay to be indifferent. Yes, it's okay to have, you know, conversations and, you know, maybe get heated up a little bit here and there. That's fine. But you're talking and you're meeting. Like, the news is meant to drive you and create, like, even this cancel culture. They take a little, they literally are amazing at taking an anthill, turn it into Mount Everest.
That's right.
And then, and that's, that's their job. I don't think people realize that's how they make money.
That's right. And, like, when people have real problems, they're not going to worry about what Wesley Donahue or Mark Evans tweeted yesterday.
Exactly.
