And I figured out. So another thing, too, with leadership guys, talking to your team, just being straight up with them guys, I need your help. I suck at call. I. Listen. I can make 20 calls a day or 50 calls a day or whatever you need to make, but the truth is, I got to do that 14 times over. So I'm working 14 jobs. I'm okay to do three. Can you do one? I need your help. If you break, I break. If I break, you break. Like, get them to buy it into that. They won't always buy in, just so you know. They'll say, yeah, like a bobblehead.
Yeah.
They don't hear anything. But that's when you say, well, here's my education management piece. Like, dude. Like, you know, when I go to stop. Wakey, wakey. I get, like, blown up on my. It's like, what, are you sick? Are you okay? Is everything okay? Like, Evans, what's up? I need wakey, wakey expert. Like, because you're, like, planting seeds.
That's where I come back to, like, the leadership part of this. Like, all right, I'm not a big company. I'm not a big team. And I'm trying to just. I've only got two girls now. How can I sit and be like, all right, you're not doing things, and I'm not. Like. So I looked at myself first. It's like, all right, I can't.
How can you say I'm blind things and I'm not. What do you mean?
So, like, if I'm like, asking them, like, hey, you need to make X amount of calls a day. But if I'm not making those calls, like, in my mind, I'm telling myself, it's like, all right, I'm telling them to do something that I'm not even doing. Like, I have a mental struggle. But at the same time, how long do I do that?
Because I don't want to, you know, clean your windows, clean your car. Like, what does that mean? You're the magician, not the mule, right? That's your mule brain lying to you, saying, you need. I can't make all the calls. That's why I'm hiring you. Like, your job is to make 50 calls a day. Like, that's the data, not drama today. Capacity to be able to. Capable of doing it while they do it right. And your job is to simply lead that action. I could sit back. You're stirring up problems and conversations not real.
I am. I am, for sure.
The question is, yes, I'm capable of making it But I don't need to, right? I'm like, seriously, it doesn't make sense.
Yeah, well, that's. That's so simple.
No, we all do it. It's like, first of all, I'll lead by example, which you've done for two years now. What got us to where we're at is that made us where we're born. So now we need people to help us drive that.
So that's where I start. Like, I have the days where I'm in there, like, this shit up. It's like, all right, I don't have control what's going on.
Yeah, I know people like that.
Yeah. So from the. From the leadership. When I saw you a couple of weeks ago, I was like, dude, I had this major moment, like, we made a transition in leads. It's like, all right, so we're not working in Detroit anymore. We're outsourcing. Excuse me. Working the outskirts. And three weeks, we didn't lock up anything. I'm like, oh, it's. It's the transition.
We'll get there.
And I wasn't managing the team or the numbers, and I finally pulled the numbers and realized we were making 17, 15 minutes of calls, 22 calls. Of course, we're not doing some business, but, like, I let that. That's. That's on me. I wasn't managing it, so. But why did it take three weeks for me to be like, all right, what the. That's what I.
Lucky it didn't take you six. Yeah, 100. I mean, listen, you can play that game all day long with yourself. The truth is, you discovered it. How do you address it? Obviously, we're all learning from it each time, you know? Right. I mean, I got massive gaps in our companies all the time.
Right.
Let's figure it out. Let's go. Yeah. Because if not, we start pondering and we start thinking. You guys know, when you look problems, will you find problems? I'm looking for solutions. Trust the problem. Let's find a solution. Right? You know, not like. Well, I remember When I was 10 years old, my dad yelled at me and said, I'm stupid. That's my problem. And then three years later, we're still talking about the same shit. Like, our past is not our present at all, and. Or future. Right. It is what it is. We gotta push it harder. You know, not that piece harder, but, like, our new brain that I'm figuring out. So another thing, too, with leadership guys, talking to your team, just being straight up with them guys, I need your help. That sucker call. Listen, I can make 20 calls a day or 50 calls a day or whatever you need to make, but the truth is, I got to do that 14 times over.
Sat.
